Good down home food made largely in house. I got the lunch combo with the ½ Gran’s chicken salad sandwich(described as a no nonsense southern chicken salad!) and the stuffed pepper soup. The chicken salad was perfect and light, not too gloppy on the mayo, chicken cooked well and some nice celery crunch added for texture. The soup was also homemade: good flavor, not too salty and very homey. Topped it off with fresh brewed ice tea(two choices: regular or flavored). Too full for dessert! Obviously popular for lunch with a steady stream of customers for the lunch hour.

My husband and I were in Lincoln, Illinois today and asked the local librarian where a good place for coffee and a treat was. She recommended Flossie and Delzinas. We were happy she did! We ended up having lunch along with coffee and iced tea. There was quite a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads to choose from as well as coffees and tea. We didn’t get a dessert since we were full after the lunch. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Would stop by again next time we are in town.

Nice updates on your standard lunch fare. Grilled cheese with gruyère and pear compote. Salad’s are Large! Standard coffee selection but also different brewed teas. Open for breakfast with breakfast wraps. Décor is nice but very few tables, you might have to bus your own to get one! Just opened in late 2014, so service is still a little slow. Worth a visit if you’re not too rushed!
