Went here during a recent visit to Nebraska. Nice sized bar. Happy hour specials were pretty standard but the service was great. Went back that evening for karaōke. free appetizers including ribs & enchilada soup. If you’re looking for a hangout not a bad choice.

Since there is not much to do on the in south Lincoln, I really did not know about this place. A friend of mine wanted to come out for beers. It was a Friday night and not too crowded at first but after 11pm it picked up. The price was ok and service was fine. I did not order food and pretty much sat at the bar, but it seemed that more people were having fun than worrying about the service. On a side note, I’m a 40 something, but not a bumpkin. However, I am pretty sure I was one of the oldest in the room.

Nice atmosphere but not the crowd. It’s a nice looking place but the crowd is all but classy. If you like 30 – 40 year old bros and country bumpkins than this place is for you. Drinks are usually mixed strong but not well it depends on how busy it is, but it seems pretty dead on most Friday and Saturday nights later on.

I also noticed a sign posted near my house for $.25 tacos and $ 2.50 margaritas. My husband and I just recently had a baby and wanted a night out. We decides to got get tacos and margaritas. When we walked in, a bartender came to us and told we would have to leave because children weren’t allowed. Our infant is only two months old and wouldn’t be bothering anyone. I have heard of a bar having minors leave after a certain time, but never have I heard of a bar and grill(somewhere where food is served) not allowing children at all. The most annoying part was that there was a waitress outside that watched us walked in bit didn’t say anything to is before we got inside. She could have saved us the embarrassment of being asked to leave in front of a room full of people! Needless to say, we won’t be returning to Grata, even without our baby!

If friendliness was an apple and quality service was an orange, this bar would be a toilet, or some other place where you would never find an apple or an orange. I have reason to believe the owners actually hate their customers. They seem to hire bartenders who are, literally, made of horse poop. They look at me like I’m crazy every time I order a beer. Last time I went in, the bartender said, «Im sorry, we are closed. We close at 1:00 on Mondays.» As I left, I glanced at my phone and noted that the time was 12:40. I consistently feel like an inconvenience to the staff, even when I tip $ 5.00 for a $ 4.00 drink. I’ll keep going back because it’s within walking distance to the place I sleep. Also, it’s usually full of 40 year old divorced chicks who dance to Akon REALLY well.
