It appears that I owe Unilocalers an apology. I previously wrote a hasty review based upon limited experience with this store. Based upon my previous experience we decided to use Kelly’s Carpeting for some Vinyl Flooring that we needed done. First, let me say that the Vinyl Flooring is done and looks nice. However our experience with them was frustrating to say the least and makes me wonder if they are completely out of touch or downright dishonest. Our installers were due to be at our house between 9:00 and 10:00 on Monday morning. As they didn’t arrive during the window, we called at 10:15. We were told that the installers had all left and he was on his way. We waited until 11:00 and when the installer hadn’t arrived, we called again. We were told they weren’t sure why they hadn’t arrived and they would make some calls and call us «right back.» We didn’t hear from them again until 12:15. Kelly’s called us and told us that there had been some miscommunication and that the installer would be there between 1:30 — 2:00. When 2:00 came and went, we again called Kelly’s and we were told that the installer had just picked up the materials and would be there shortly. At 2:15 the installer arrived and explained to us that he had been coming out of a dentists office in Council Bluffs(as it was his day off) and had been called in to work. So, it appears we were never on the schedule or at the very least something happened and Kelly’s was never honest with us. It appears that we were misinformed every step of the way. Shortly after the installer left, we noticed that the caulking had come apart and there was no longer a seal around the floor. So, we called first thing in the morning the next day and was told that our installer would be back between 4:30 — 5:00 that day. Sometime in the early afternoon we were called back and told that something came up and the installer would be there 8:30am sharp the next day. So today is the next day and 8:30am came and went. AGAIN, we had to call Kelly’s only to be told that he would be there within 50 minutes. Only AGAIN to have to call when he didn’t make that appointment. Finally, several hours after our appointment time, he arrived and fixed the problem. All of this, happened within 3 days and perhaps some of you might say that this isn’t any big deal. My problem is that we were misinformed(lied) repeatedly about the times. We wasted two days of wages because the company could not accurately predict what time the installers would arrive and seemed to have absolutely no idea where their employees were. After all of this, and numerous apologies, not a single person has reached out to us, or offered to compensated us for lost wages due to their inefficiencies. Again…the vinyl flooring looks nice. But if you use Kelly’s there is a very large chance that you will be very frustrated by the time that you are done. Good luck.
