The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. They make sure you are satisfied with your new shoes and help you pick out the perfect pair. I will never go anywhere else for athletic shoes. The staff is seriously fantastic!

The two times I have come in to get a new pair of shoes, the young men were very helpful and knew exactly what I needed. They measured my feet both times and the prices weren’t bad either.

I’ve never gone a specialized running store but I’m definitely going to return in the future. The staff was very knowledgable about their stock and actually pointed out specific alignment problems that needed support without me needing to mention it outright. I think the service is worth the minor extra cost of buying from a «boutique» running store than from an outlet or mall.

Excellent shoe store that caters to the hard core runner in town. They are very friendly, very knowledgeable, and prices are on par with shoes elsewhere in town. They also have a large selection of running attire. The location is a bit«out of the way» since it isn’t in a mall, but it is worth the trip.

The service was awesome and the woman that helped me was obviously very knowledgable and knew exactly what to try after I told her what kind of shoe I needed. I’m definitely going to go back in the future.

I’ll admit I only stopped in here once to see what they had. Honestly, not that much. It’s a decent selection of men’s and women’s running shoes, but it’s just a small place. They have a collection bin by the front door for donating used shoes. I didn’t even look at the prices, I was just in and out.

When I lived in Omaha and worked in Lincoln, I went to this store as my preferred shoe and clothing store for running. I’m not sure if I would have given it 5 stars when I was there, but moving away has made it a shinier, higher starred location. For such a small store, they carried a nice selection of shoes and accessories. They were not great with sales or discounts. In fact, you were pretty much paying full price when you bought anything there. That’s one thing my cheapskate heart would downgrade them for. However, even the offered discounts at other stores often did not overcome the customer service and knowledge of this store. They always had wide widths in the shoes I needed, which is rare. They always allowed me to run around the block in any pair of shoes I was trying, rain, snow or shine. Since I run outside, it would not have helped for me to have run on a treadmill in the store. Having moved to Seattle, I have had troubles finding a good show store that is conveniently located, has good and accessible hours. And, nobody in Seattle apparently has German feet and needs running shoes. I’ve been told over and over that they’d have to order my shoes in — which defeats the purpose of going into the store in the first place. I miss Lincoln Running Co.

I might just be spoiled with my experience at Road Runner in Seattle, but I was disappointed with Lincoln Running Company. First, the store is rather small. Their supplies of shoes is small, and their amount of running supplies is even smaller. The worst part for me is that they don’t appear to have a treadmill. I saw a customer walking across the room, and the employee commenting on how it was helping her stride and would help her while she was jogging. After walking a few times across the room, the person bought the shoe(which leads me to think that they don’t have a treadmill). I’m sorry, but I don’t think you can tell a lot about a running shoe by how you walk them in any more than you can test drive a car by driving under 15 miles per hour. In my opinion, a store that is purely devoted to running needs a treadmill or some type of running area. To put this in some context, Road Runner not only has several treadmills to run on, but they video tape you as you run on the treadmill so that you can observe how you are running in different shoes. In summary, this store has potential, but to be a true running store, it needs more inventory and some way of actually testing your shoes before buying them. Given this situation, I think my next step is to try Scheels and see if I can use one of their treadmills to test out shoes.

This is the best running store I have found. They generally have a great selection for the size of the store(and for the size of Lincoln’s running community). The majority of the employees are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. However, I have been helped by two employees who were rather rude and that is the reason I took one star away. If it weren’t for the two rude employees, I definitely would have given them all five stars! I love my trips to the Running Company!

Fantastic place to buy shoes. Never again will I go to big box for running shoes. Nice girl helped me figure out the type of shoes I should be based on my running style. Shoes have been great. Reasonable prices. Will repeat.
