I was really looking forward to visiting the Log Cabin Quilt Shop in Lincoln as we traveled through Illinois. (Log cabin … Lincoln, get it? Cute name!)
But there had been a fire at the building across the street the night before we got there. Maybe the power was out. The town was sure quiet. This place looked closed for the day. I tried calling the quilt shop’s number on my cell phone, but it just rang.
So we did a little window shopping. Through the front door, I could see that this is a thriving quilt shop, and the prices are GREAT! Looks like a beautiful place to spend some time shopping. Just inside the front door, there were some Route 66 novelty prints that interested hubby. There were also some Fourth of July and armed services prints. That’s what people are interested in this time of year. They sure know what appeals to fabric shoppers.
:-) Drool.

Wonderful selection of fabrics, (my favorite being batiks) great prices, nice location, the inside of the store is big enough to have variety, but small enough to feel rather cozy. Will definitely be coming back!
