I’m not quite sure how I feel about this place. I don’t go to tailors often enough to know if there are things that should be obvious to me. I dropped off a pair of pants and a blouse that both had rips right along the seams. I had my husband pick them up. When I took them to hang back in my closet, I noticed the blouse was still ripped. I’m not sure if it’s the same rip and wasn’t fixed at all, or if the rip was in a different spot. However, it was along the same seam and maybe an inch or two from the original spot(if it wasn’t the same one). I would think they would have fixed it even if it was a different rip. Or, at least called to let me know there was a second rip that needed mending and it would cos $X to also fix that one. Anything but just return it to me ripped. So, I brought it back. They fixed it and didn’t charge me extra. My husband, along with some shirts to press, brought in my wedding dress to clean(yeah, it’s been a while). It had some grease stains on the bottom from the car. I went to pick it up when I went back for the blouse, was handed my dress and a bag with the rhinestone(I don’t know what you call it… appliqué?) appliqué detached from the dress. I was told it had to be removed to clean it. I would think they would put it back on. Or, tell us when it was dropped off that it would have to be removed and it might cost $xx to remove it and re-attach it. And, the blouse wasn’t ready because the wrong date was on it. She asked if I wanted to come back in an hour and she would attach it. And, they didn’t charge me extra. I couldn’t make it back that day, so picked it up later. Then, I realized that my husband had dropped off the dress on it’s hangar and cover from David’s Bridal, but they returned it pinned to a wire hanger. I called about the cover. They send the dry cleaning out, and they had to wait until the dry cleaners opened to see if they could find it. After some back and forths, I finally got the cover back without the hangar. I was told that I shouldn’t have left them the hangar and cover(she wasn’t rude about it; just stating). But, why didn’t they tell my husband this when he dropped it off? I gave up on the hangar. She gave me another one, but it’s not the one that was made for heavy dresses. Plus, the dry cleaners pined large safety pins through the dress to hang it to the wire hangar, so now there are holes in my dress(under the armpits, but still). Again, I’m not a frequent tailor-goer, so I don’t know if it’s a known that the appliqué would be removed and not re-attached. I don’t know if it’s a known that if a second rip is discovered, it wouldn’t be fixed(i.e. only the areas marked when I dropped it off would be fixed). I didn’t know not to leave the dress on it’s hangar in it’s cover. However, I feel that this place isn’t thorough with their work and they don’t communicate well with customers(like making a quick phone call to inform me of a situation). I had to go back four times for what seemed like simple orders. It was quite frustrating. I wouldn’t go back there again. However, I gave them two stars instead of one since they did fix the blouse, re-attach the rhinestone appliqué, and found my David’s Bridal cover. It was just more hassle than it was worth. I would try another place another time and hope to find a place that can keep it together the first time.
