I suppose I should be grateful Nebraska even has public radio at all, and if I heard correctly a while back, it was not even state-wide until the very early nineties, which is one of those«you gotta be kidding?» things you hear, sort of like finding out South Africa did not have television until 1976. If you get off on loads of classical music, this is the spot on the dial for you. I don’t. But I did start listening to public radio in the mid eighties in Colorado, back then it was A Prairie Home Companion and Cartalk and All Things Considered. Recently I got so sick of all the political bullshit on cable news I started listening to public radio again… and it’s the same fucking shows. I am tired of Lake Wobegon, I hope Minnesota gets nuked by Manitoba. I like the Cahtalk shtick and the Southie accents but it too is outdated(and don’t think they could switch over to talking about computers or something equally unattractive at least everyone likes to listen about cars, but not for over 20 frickin years). Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me is as annoying as it was the first time I heard it. Fuck Karl Castle and his answering machine msg, people like me have had cell phones for over 13 years. I like you lots NPR, but WE are READY for some Muthafuckin CHANGE!
