New Beginnings Thrift Shop

Glad to have another thrift store in Lincoln. This is personally one of my favorite places to go in town. The prices are beyond reasonable and the store is shooting for a good cause!

The quilt shop I had hoped to visit in downtown Lincoln, IL was inexplicably closed, so this was my second choice. We met a local person who told us that this place was connected to a church and that proceeds from sales would help the local community. Sounds good.
I’m not real big on thrift shops, but we stopped in. Books and clothes and household items. Didn’t find anything that I absolutely had to have. Prices are reasonable. Most items had price stickers.
I did see two CorningWare casserole dishes with lids that were rather tempting, but I would have had to carry them a couple of miles back to the car. I actually passed on them! One was shallow, dark brown, with a cornucopia motif. The other was the classic blue flower. Maybe I was an idiot to pass on those.
