Ruskin Place

To update my last review, this place is ridiculous even after you move out.
I recieved a COLLECTION LETTER from a COLLECTION COMPANY for $ 45 dollars. Ruskin said they couldn’t send it to me directly because they didn’t have my address, even though it was provided to them when i moved away. They attempted to take me to collections for a lightbulb and a quick run of the vaccuum. FORTY FIVE DOLLARS? I called corporate, again, and raised hell. Haven’t heard from them since.

Management does nothing to enforce rules. I have called multiple times, as well as written letters about dogs off leash, glass at the pool, unsupervised children (under 12) at the pool, dog poo not being picked up by residents, and the list goes on.
We pay for an exterminator in our extremely high rent ($ 730 for a 1br 700 sq foot basement apt with no balcony or patio or garage!), and there are probably 500 ants in the entryway of the building.
The staff in the office are beyond incompetent. You have to either speak directly to the manager and use simple words, or call the corporate office to get anything taken care of. The girl named Brittany will be straight rude to your face, hang up on you, push her scentsy crap on residents, and has no experience in working in property management or customer service.
The cops are here constantly. Since the staff changed a few years ago, I personally fear for my safety now. The amount of sketchy people here is ridiculous. I don’t walk my dog around here at night unless I am armed with pepper spray or a .22 pistol.
The complex is a ghost town. They can’t keep people here. Mainly because of poor management, incredibly expensive pricing (seriously the mortgage I’m going into is cheaper than this one bedroom cracker box I’ve been renting…), and this place is just not safe anymore.
The pool area is full of booze bottles and partying dude-​bros that abatement does nothing to enforce their own rules against the glass and loud music.
The gym has broken equipment.
Tanning is always booked up by staff and their friends.
Staff leaves the office early, so if you work past 5, they won’t be there if you need them.
Don’t waste your money or your sanity. There are better managed complexes.
