Mac n cheese with mushrooms great. Decent portions for tapas. Went by myself and had two dishes and it was perfect food wise. Nice staff too.

Cheese plate was sparse. Mac n cheese was ok but pork was absent in the dish. Lobster risotto was gooey and over cooked with an unappealing flavor. Thought the prices were way too high for the quantity and quality. Gave a star to the friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Pretty sure we won’t be back. Disappointed because I love to support local novel places like this! :(

The décor is definitely a distinct, intentional style. Rustic barn wood wall. Old books and keepsakes. Mismatched lamps. Empty liquor bottles. Worn leather. The pirate theme is subtle but fun to see it incorporated into the décor. The hostess welcomed us warmly and was genuinely pleasant. The interior is a lot more spacious than it looks when you first walk in. We were greeted quickly by our server who brought us cocktails quickly. Hear hear! The ginger gimlet was simple and refreshing. I highly recommend the cheese plate. Plenty for two or three to nibble on. The house made jam is delicious and has a velvety texture. The beef skewers were perfectly cooked(medium) and well seasoned. The chimichurri was bright and acidic. The four beef skewers came on a bed of finely minced fried potatoes and a piquant romesco. The lobster risotto was incredible. The arborio rice was cooked perfectly – not too mushy. The lobster was also cooked nicely, not overly done where it gets chewy. The light saffron bouquet starts off your bite and then you get a piece of bacon and the saltiness mixes nicely with the acid from the lemon juice, the unctuous lobster and the creamy rice. Perfection. The service was quick and clean. By that I mean the waiter delivered the plates very quickly and asked if everything was to our liking but didn’t linger. It allowed us to keep our conversation going with limited interruption. He wasn’t salesy or gimmicky. There was a slight mixup in the kitchen and one of our dishes never came out. We weren’t charged for it, and were offered free dessert. Orange caramel flan? Yes please! The flan had the perfect silky texture that was well-set but not too firm. The orange flavor isn’t overwhelming nor is the sweetness. The orange peel is evident and lends a tart, almost bitter taste that counteracts the sugar and subverts your expectations. Overall, you should definitely head over to Sebastian’s table. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a really cool place for Lincoln or for any other place in the country the menu is really unique there are a lot of different kinds of things to choose from, anything but boring, the service is great, the location is good, and of the restaurant Decour is nice and the modern, you really can’t go wrong with this place whether it’s just you or you want to date or a group of people.

If Sebastian’s was located in Chicago, or NYC, I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. But, it doesn’t get any better in Lincoln, NE. Food is great, service is very respectable as well. Bit overpriced for Tapas, but hey, we’re in Nebraska. Supply and Demand…

Had dinner there with a large group last night. The staff was attentive, the drinks were good and the food was amazing. The highlights were surprisingly the things that I thought would be middle of the road. The humus, spinach dip and Brussels sprouts were full of fresh, «off the beaten path» flavors. But my favorite was the pear crème brûlée. Such a great desert finish.

My friend and I went for lunch on a Saturday and the place was dead. That was the only negative. Food was amazing!!! We did the tapas plates and the octopus, brussel sprouts, beef skewers, and bone marrow. The brussel sprouts and beef skewers were our favorites and you couldn’t ever go wrong ordering those. If you’re a little more adventure the octopus was great too. Very cool décor and building. I’ll be back for dinner sometime soon and hopefully we won’t be alone in the restaurant next time!

We found this through Unilocal(as usual) and we’re THRILLED! Duck confit had really rich flavor, the brussels sprouts were deliciously cartelized and the sauce was really yummy with bread. Mushroom Mac and cheese was good(not a mac n’ cheese guy). The flat iron was perfectly paired with arugula and the beef skewers delicious. Finally the scallops and sherry sautéed mushrooms were fabulous. My daughter is a vegetarian and the hostess had great recommendations. Overall the wait service was prompt, team oriented, knowledgeable and very friendly. Another Unilocal pleasant surprise even after seeing 4.5 stars!

I am continuously impressed with the service and food of Sebastian’s. Before I go any further, keep in mind that Sebastian’s does tapas — style dining. Tapas means«small plate.» This allows you to try a wide variety dishes without committing to just one. The dishes are date night prices so be prepared. This place is also fantastic for groups because everyone gets to try something new. We have visited many times, but there are some standbys we always order. DUCKCONFIT — Shredded duck in it’s own juice with toasted bread to eat it on. Spiced, savory, and indulgent — good enough for any Midwestern meat eater! MAC&CHEESE — The ingredients in this dish varies from season to season. Sometimes they add chorizo, or mushrooms, or spiced meatballs. But it’s always a go to. BRUSSELSPROUTS — Smokey roasted goodness. Certainly not your mom’s sprouts. If you don’t like sprouts, try these, they just might convert you. REDSANGRIA — I know, this isn’t a dish, but it is a must have if you visit. Buy it buy the glass or by the pitcher, you can’t go wrong! Aside from the magnificent food, the service is always legit. Quick with food and drinks, they bring the food out as it is made, so there is never much of a wait.

My husband and I visited Sebastian’s last night(making it my 5th time). Everything was delicious, as usual. We had the halloumi plate(sweet but good), the duck confit(really good), & the bread pudding(awesome). As it was Tuesday, we also got a $ 10 carafe of sangria. I highly recommend this place.

Cards on the table; this isn’t my style of dining. Tapas is definitely not for me. So take this review with a grain of salt. The pleasant: I ordered the flat iron steak. It was very well done, it was melt in your mouth delicious. My wife ordered the duck confit which I thought tasted pretty good as well, though I’m not a duck aficionado. She found it greasy, but it’s duck, there’s never been a time when I had duck and it wasn’t greasy. The critique: I’ve lived in Nebraska my entire life. I’m not an overly fancy person. When I order a steak, I have a mental preparation of a Flintstone’s sized slab of meat dropped off in front of me with a thunderous crash. The steak was small, although very very very delicious. I was informed this was the tapas style of dining. And though small, I was suppose to share, as was tapas custom. Not happening. I shared a little in a trade for some duck with my wife, but when I order a meal, I intend on eating it. I’m not a meal swinger, I don’t share well, and I really don’t want to swap. It’s fancy dining. I’m not really a fancy kind of guy. I like my steaks large, I like them to stay in front of me without others trying to get a bite, and I like to feel like I got my money’s worth. I feel I paid too much for«sizzle» and not enough steak. But again, this isn’t usually my type of place to eat, take that as it is.

I live in Omaha but after recommendations from several Lincoln and Omaha friends, my husband and I decided to make reservations for ourselves on a recent weekend stay in the capitol city. We arrived a little early but they were able to accommodate and get us seated right away. I really like the ambiance and layout of the space — it was a Friday night around 7, so it was busy, but the way their tables are spread out makes the atmosphere a little quieter and more intimate. It seems like restaurants are trying to scrunch more and more people in smaller spaces these days, so it was a welcome surprise to have space to move around and talk freely. We weren’t sure how big the dishes would be, so we ordered a couple at a time, figuring we could order more as needed. This worked out really well and extended our time there making it more of an experience than just a meal. Although all of the dishes we had were spectacular, the brussels sprouts(to echo others) and the marshmallow brownie were definite stand-outs. I highly recommend the gold sangria as well — might as well get a pitcher! Overall, my husband and I were very impressed with Sebastians Table — both the food and the service — and will definitely be visiting again on a future trip to Lincoln!

After my previous review, the General Manager was quick to contact me and apologize. She handled the situation very professionally and I was very pleased. Yesterday my girlfriend and I decided to stop in since it had been awhile. We were seated outside and promptly greeted. We noticed they had changed the menu but were not disappointed with the changes. We ordered the crab fritters, Brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese with mushrooms, the sherry mushrooms and the tortillas espanola. Overall we were very pleased with the new menu items we tried and of course loved the Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese, like always. We also ordered sangria and loved it! I was sad the pear fritters were taken off of the menu but the churros are pretty great too! Overall, this experience was fantastic and leads me to believe my last experience was just a fluke. Everything was great, including service. I will definitely be back many times.

The food was okay. The service was okay. But nothing better than average. The Hazelnut Brussels Sprouts were amazing, the Crab Fritters were just okay, drinks were good. The Red Pepper Brisket was low grade Alpo, it was extremely fatty, in some cases there were actual whole pieces of fat. The meat was cut into cubes, not sliced, it tasted like left over stew meat that didn’t make the cut, the portion was also extremely small(that is a regular sized spoon in the picture). The biscuits were also very over cooked. We informed the food runner and she apologized but did nothing else. The Patatas Sebastian(Roasted Potatoes) were very unremarkable, they were of the same cut and quality as Ore Ida diced hash brown potatoes you would get from the grocery store. The potatoes were served with a «brava sauce», «brava» must mean«canned Hormel Chili» They did give you a good quantity though, still I wouldn’t recommend. For desert we had the Éclair cake and it was amazing.

I had dinner here the other night with a friend and it definitely lived up to its reputation! For a Friday night there was about a 20 min wait, I called ahead and placed a reservation so we only waited a few mins. The server was great, the menu straight forward, and the atmosphere fun with lots of interesting things to look at. When you first walk in, the open kitchen is to your left. In front of you is a large beautiful staircase leading up to a second floor. Seating is both on the first and second floors. We were seated on the second story right by the staircase. It was super fun to watch the goings on in the kitchen. The menu is delightful with both a classic menu of tapas and a seasonal rotating page. Gluten free is easily identifiable and there is a ton of options. Food came out quickly and the portion sizes were good for each tapa. We ordered four for two people and I even took some home. The scallops were by far my favorite, the brussel sprouts amazing, the lobster risotto was good and the poached apples pretty tasty. I’d definitely get the first two again. Price was pretty reasonable for two people and food was excellent. I just love all the gf options. I’ll definitely be visiting again sometime soon

Delicious food, great service! If you’ve never been to a Tapas restaurant, their style of cooking/serving is aimed for sharing. They’re mini sized plates. Very rare in Lincoln :) Went with a group with reservations at 7:30 and was greeted kindly by the hostess. Immediately thought the place was beautiful, classy, and modern. We were seated at the third tier with the only round table they have. Very lovely. We ordered duck confit, green beans, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, beef brisket, lobster risotto, beef skewers, Spanish risotto, and patatas Sebastian. Everything was delicious! The patatas was everyone’s least favorite though. We loved how they paced the time with bringing out the food. Everything was cooked to order because things were still boiling on the plates. My favorites: duck confit, beef brisket, and lobster risotto. Overall, I really enjoyed everything about this experience and i have no complaints :) Also, the bathroom is really cool haha. Reminded me of a San Franciscan styled restaurant. They have salt scrub instead of soap to wash your hands!

My husband didn’t want to trust me alone with the Tres Leche Cake when he had to go to the restroom. Ha. I only ate two bites while he was gone; but it was really hard. Triple soaked, chocolate pistachios on top, heaven in a glass. The style of this eatery, serving individual plates of Spanish tapas to share was unique to Lincoln, and made for a great date night! I would eat here again in a heartbeat,(start with dessert).

This is a tapas restaurant, so if you are going in not knowing this or what tapas are, then you might be disappointed. Basically, they are small plates or appitizers of Spanish variaity but many items have other ethnic flairs. Most items range from $ 7 – 12 in price so if you have 4 people, you will want to order 4 – 6 items to share. Pros: Different for Lincoln, we have nothing else like it so this gets a bonus ½ star IMO Good Wine selection Good variety of food(Something for everyone) Ambiance and décor are pleasing Pork Belly, scallops, and duck confit are tasty. Open for lunch Location: Downtown.(That is if you like going downtown, see Cons) Cons: Not everything is as prepared perfectly. Our Beef Skewers were overcooked and chewy and the Mac & Cheese was dry in my opinion. Location: Downtown. This can be a Con if it is Football weekend or event going on. If you are looking for a traditional meal and don’t want to share, this is NOT the place for you. Not really kid friendly menu but that could be a pro too. ;) Overall, it is worth a try. Lincoln needs more places like this as we have way to many chain restaurants and not enough unique places to eat. Go for it, you will be pleasantly surprised.
