Yowie’s Lodge

From the previous reviews I am guessing that I came at a bad time. I went to Yowie’s Lodge on a Saturday. We were seated and given water and our server asked if we would like an appetizer. Five minutes later we saw our waiter walk out the main door. We weren’t sure what happened, but we assumed it was taken care of. After 25 minutes of seeing no one come to our table to order drinks or give us our appetizers I flagged the hostess down. They told me our waiter left in a hurry and they were getting us a new one. Soon after that a server new to Yowie’s came to our table and got our drink order and we told her we already ordered appetizers. Another 20 minutes past after that moment and all that was on our table was waters, nothing else. I asked the hostess where our waitress was and soon after our drinks came, but not our appetizers. She got our food order and left. We all waited a half hour and finally we saw appetizers. We finished the appetizers and continued to wait for our food. I thought to myself, wow, we’ve been here for over an hour and we still don’t have any food! I called the manager to the table and told him how long it had been. Soon after that we received our food and they told us the appetizer was on the house. The food was alright. We were there for an hour and 45 minutes and they weren’t even busy which worries me about this place. Like I said before this might have been a bad day.

What a terrific beer selection. Appetizers were choice, and the service is fantastic. I love the rustic feel. It’s a perfect fit for the Haymarket, and a great place to catch a game!

In from out of town so it’s very difficult to determine the places to go. Everything was great from the atmosphere, food and the service. Ordered the chicken fried steak and it was just like grandma used to make! They had my favorite brew on tap and my server Allen was attentive and personable! I highly recommend this place!
