David Style Hair Salon & Spa

Initially, walking in the salon is very nice looking.
Upon talking to the staff, very rude and stand offish.
The girl washed my hair and combed it… very painful &I do have curly hair but she was pulling and tugging to the point where I had to tell her to give me the brush so I can do it myself.
David, was my stylist (first time I have ever been here). very rude! Did not say hello, how are you? Just came up to me and asked «How do you want your hair?»
He cut my hair in less than 10 minutes, did not ask if I want it blow dryer and just seemed very uninterested in the customer (me).
For a $ 25 haircut, you can def find a better place that will be thanful and deserving of your business –I just did not feel it here and I would never go back.
You can’t expect to do well in a salon and treat people in a rude fashion. where is your customer service? The whole time I was there he maybe spoke 5 words. I just dont recommend and with a city as big as Chicago, you’d be crazy to go back!!!

After David completed the coloring process on my hair, it was love at first sight with both the color he gave me and his coloring technique. I’ve been his client for 5 months now and I intend on going ONLY TO HIM FOR COLOR. David is the Mother of All colorists. He is the Guru, Master, Sage, Teacher, Sheikh, Rabbi, Expert, Wizard, and Leading Light to every professional hair colorists.
David also provided the keratin treatment on my frizzy, coarse curly hair a month ago. He suggested I needed a treatment and mentioned a few different types that I can choose from. I looked into the keratin treatment & I wanted the one that removes the frizz only so I can keep my curls.
He told me directly the treatment would be a great benefit for the quality of my hair and daily styling product usage would be at the bare minimum as for mousse, gel, hair spray, frizz serums, etc. I couldn’t be happier with the results. My hair has not been this soft since I was 7 years old. David is truly the divine truth for hair & beauty. This is coming from a girl who looks like «Frizzy Bear» after my hair is brushed. If my hair can have that soft look then ANYONE CAN.
David has been a true blessing to my hair. I told him I thank my lucky stars for bringing you in my life & that he was the light at the end of my tunnel :).

Ive been going by David for almost 2 years now. He is by far the best colorists I have ever been to. He really is a talented stylists and knows what he’s doing. He has always been upfront and honest about what he thinks and what is best for my hair, as quality of hair is extremely important to David. I’ve been to a handful of colorists in my life and I’m still amazed at how he does it. He has a secret weapon, where he fixes other colorists mistakes, which is how I met him. He didn’t only fix the previous bad job, he truly amazed me with the most beautiful color and the quality of my hair was better than when I came to him. I’m not kidding when I say, he’s got a secret. I’ve also had up do’s done for special occasions, cuts and blow-​drys. He does what you ask, as long as it won’t harm your hair, he’s not the guy that does what he wants. Those stylists get on my nerves.
David just did my moms hair (up-​do) and she loved it! AND she’s one picky Mo-​Fo! He does beautiful eye makeup (dramatic smoky eyes) as well, which is the only thing I’ve tried as far as makeup. I know he does full face makeup.
If you want to get your eye brows threaded, which is another amazing service they provide and they do a fantastic job. Marlin and Ninwe are two lovely ladies originally from the middle-​east which is why they are so skilled at threading. They are both equally great as I’ve been going to both for over a year now.
Last but not least… THIS PLACE IS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE HAIR SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. WHAT A BONUS!!! Parking is also available in front of the salon.
I highly highly highly recommend David and his super talented crew. I will post pictures as well, so you can see there work.
