I’m so disappointed with this place. While dining here, I noticed the homemade tortillas come pre-packaged in a box. I saw an employee take the little frozen pucks of dough out of the box onto the counter to be pressed into the tortilla maker. Later my father asked a waitress saying ‘the dinner portion is so much larger than the lunch portion’ and the waitress explained that since everything comes in a box, they’re not always the same size! Whaaaa?! Aside from the actual food, the service towards the end was good. The restaurant cleared out a bit and gave the waitress a chance to be quite attentive to our party of 9. I thought the tamale was good, though now I realize it’s a boxed tamale. The enchiladas are sub par(also packaged). The sour cream sauce is good if you’re into TexMex. The Ranchero sauce is not like traditional Mexican cuisine. It’s more like a salsa, not a rue-based chili sauce. The verde is actually pretty good, but I wonder what is actually homemade now that I know a good portion of the food comes from a box. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 for the service.

I wasn’t here long enough really to give it a real review or rating. I pulled off the road because I was tired and needed a coffee. The service was good, and friendly, the coffee was fine. The atmosphere was good. I ordered beef nachos and they were good — the cheese was maybe a little too much — but it was alright. I’d do 2.5 stars if I could.

Great food for a decent price! I came here a few times for lunch when my place of work would send my to Lindale(I currently live in Athens) later in 2014. The menu has some great vegetarian-friendly options. The service is also great, with helpful staff members. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, it wasn’t too noisy so I was free to enjoy a book.

Normally my favorite place but if you close at 10 and someone gets there 25 till it’s good business to be prepared to serve them. I understand everyone wants to go home but if that’s the case then advertise that you close at 930 so everything is cleaned up by 10

Waitress wasn’t very talkative, and didn’t offer us anything. Only asked what we wanted. However, service was fast and great portions. Highly recommend!

Well, we have been waiting for almost an hour for a table, 45 min past their estimate. I might upgrade the review if we ever actually see food… Update: we waited 20 minutes for margaritas and are at 35 minutes for food. Tell me fellow parents, how would your kids be doing waiting an hour for a table and then 35-minutes-and-counting for food? Yep, that’s how our evening is going.

This was excellent place to eat. We came into town late at night 9:30 p.m. The waitress was amazingly kind and attentive and the other coworkers talked with us for a long time and made us feel at home. Highly recommended.

Margaritas! NO! Went out with a girlfriend to an almost empty barside restaurant and we both ordered a grande margarita. The service was slow getting waited on and slow being served worse than that there was no liquor in the margaritas! Sad indeed! Much better to make the drive to jalapeño tree in Mineola!

Took my mother to the Lindale Posado’s Café for her birthday last Monday. Have dined at almost all of the Posado restraunts in both Tx and La and this one seams to be getting worse every time I visit. My wife’s tortilla soup was about half the size of previous orders and was not even hot. The luke warm soup had one tiny piece of chicken and almost no vegetables. My enchiladas contained about the meat and cheese as normal and the sopapillas were tiny as well. Thank goodness we ate at the Posado’s in Lufkin on the way home and were reminded of how wonderful a Posado’s could be. It is a 5 star for sure.

This is our 2nd time at Posados and I must say its a very family friendly restaurant and super yummy! Their warm fresh tortillas, sopapillas and ice cream were a hit for my two kiddos. There service each time has been great. My son spilled his milk and food everywhere and even fell out of his chair… not once did they seem irritated. They kindly helped clean up the mess. I’d highly recommend Posados to anyone! I wish they were in Arizona! Update: We visited Posados again and we did not have a very pleasant visit. One hostess through another under the bus in front of us because she accidentally seated another family in our booth. It was clearly a mistake and her actions were inappropriate. We just felt as if we were a nuisance.

Third times a charm. First two times were very disappointing. Today we went for fajita Wednesday & have NO complaints. Salsa is great, food was hot & fresh & service was outstanding. Glad we gave them another chance.

Food was ok. I got the fajita chicken salad for lunch and asked for no olives, no sour cream and no cheese. It comes in a taco she’ll which I always leave behind. I know that takes part of it away but I try to eat on the healthier side. Chicken was good that was in the salad. But I get towards the bottom of the salad and there was queso on the bottom of the shell that was covering all the lettuce and anything else that was towards the bottom. Our server was a bit knew and didn’t know there was queso on it but needless to say if he did indeed put NOCHEESE. you’d assume the kitchen wouldn’t put ANY kind of cheese on there. They did offer me another one but I wouldn’t of been able to eat it… was a pretty huge salad. Overall make sure all your staff knows the menu or has the description. .cause no, there is no description on the menu so I had to ask. Guess if I wanted to I should of complain and got it for free ha cause that pissed me off quite a bit. But oh well. Never eating there again because they put cheese on literally everything! I know it’s Mexican food but still… been to legit mom and pop Mexican places and you never see it that much and the quality is 100 times better!

First time in. Last time in. You must give ID to even purchase alcoholic beverages and give info for a membership? Never heard of anything like that before. Being a victim of identity theft & with being so close to the border this sounds VERYVERY weird and sketchy to me! Waitress was horrible. Brought the wrong drinks after waiting 15 minutes for just water. The manager was unprofessional & the food quality was very poor! Coming all the way from Arizona(where real Mexican food doesn’t have cumin in it) this 12 hour drive and $ 65 bill for 2 people was NOTWORTHIT.

Salsa is good. Just a little heat. Chips are great. Margaritas are great. We had mixed fajitas for two. Although price was high(26.00) it was exceptionally good other than the sauteed onions which were tough. Fajitas usually include sauteed green peppers. The beans and rice were good. I would recommend it if you are in this area. Walking distance to la quinta and comfort inn motels. Across from Wal-Mart and lowe’s on west centennial drive.

It’s hard to beat Posados for great Mexican food. Their Jalisco dinner is great and they make incredible borracho beans. And a complimentary sopapilla to boot. Good stuff.

You can not beat«Fajita Wednesday» for two for $ 16.99 and the Mexican butter is to die for. I’m hooked!

Best Tex-Mex in East Texas indeed! We stopped by here on our way to Dallas from Shreveport, and I must say, every aspect of this establishment exceeded my expectations. The service was great! Our server was very nice, attentive, and well-informed in every way. We all ordered something different with various customizations, and she got it all correct. The food itself was fantastic as well! We received fresh warm tortillas and chips/salsa within a minute of being seated. The spicy chicken guisado was my favorite, which I ordered as a 3-item lunch platter. The quality and taste of chicken isn’t always good at many Tex-Mex restaurants that I’ve experienced, but was great here. The chicken enchiladas and fajitas were equally delicious! All meals had great portions too! The complimentary chips, tortillas, salsa, and frozen yogurt were definitely just an added bonus. If I lived near this area, I would definitely be a regular here!

We went to Posados last Wednesday nite for the«fajitas for 2 for $ 16.99» special and were more than satisfied with the quality of the food as well as the portion size. We agreed the the chicken was marginally better than the beef, although both were good and decently seasoned. The setups were ample and consisted of sour cream, guacamole, cheese and pico de gallo as well as a large plate of refried beans and rice. The chips were hot and crispy and the hot sauce was really good(we must have consumed at least a quart of the stuff!). Tortillas and hot sopapillas are complimentary with the meal. The atmosphere is standard Tex Mex with lots of Mexican market style décor and a comfortable bar. Feel free to go in your shorts and flip flops. You will fit right in!
