I stayed at the Avaleen Springs Bed & Breakfast in May last year with my husband and another couple. After entering the address in our GPS we were taken the wrong way from the town of Linden and drove around looking for the B&B for a while… we called(when we finally found cell phone reception) and got correct directions from the owner of the B&B. The B&B is set in a hill near a small pond and a little waterfall. The area is beautiful, but is so far from anything. We stayed in two rooms upstairs of the main house. Our rooms were nice, breakfast was fabulous, but the buildings were not very up to date for a B&B. The guys fished in the supposed stocked pond for nearly two and a half hours not catching anything while my friend and I took a hike. Be cautious when hiking because we both found several wood ticks on our clothes after that. This is an elephant sanctuary not too far from the B&B which is a really neat experience… definitely check that out when you are in Linden. All in all, it was a fun experience, but definitely check your directions and make any calls you need to before getting so far out of phone service.
