This place has the best Taro bubble tea that I’ve ever tasted in my life! The consistency of their tea reminds me of a smoothie. It’s thicker than the typical taro tea that I’ve had in the past. I definitely recommend trying the taro bubble tea if you’re in the area. It is so delicious! I have ordered the Phở for takeout, and it was very flavorful; however, it’s probably best to order that dish when dining in. It was a little difficult putting all the components together to eat the dish. It’s a no frills place, nothing fancy. It reminds me of a mom and pop shop. It’s never crowded, so you probably don’t have to make reservations. It’s very basic décor, nothing trendy about it, but the food is delicious. They do not deliver, so you have to order takeout or dine in.

Wish I took a picture of the spring rolls they served last night. Broken and popping from the seams and all stuck together. They forgot one of my appetizers and served it after my entrée. I miss the old management here. Wouldn’t really go back.

Bahn mi that I ordered were ok. They have a different take on their grilled pork(not the typical red glazed grilled pork I’ve come to expect), and it’s not bad or anything; just different. The cucumber, carrots, and radish along with other«stuffings/dressing» weren’t bad, but the bread ruined it. Hard. Simply stated. I could probably break a window had I throw it at one.

Its OK Vietnamese in a an area that I could not find too many competitors. If you are in the mood for Phở, live nearby and don’t feel like driving far, this place can be OK. However, I have had much better Phở, much better pork chops, egg quiche, and summer rolls elsewhere. Service was anemic too. I had to ask for hot tea about six times and there were only three tables of people there at the time; I asked for Phở for my son with beef meatballs and brisket and received no brisket? My son was starving and generally puts away a bowl of Phở every time. He ate half and said it wasn’t so good and stopped eating it. Not sure why this is happening, maybe too much partying the night before? Any one of the items I described above would have been fine, but put all together in one meal, there is a pattern here.

Came here on a cold night and devoured a large bowl of beef phở in the most ladylike manner. Hit the spot. Fast, cheap, good. Wish this restaurant was my neighborhood restaurant.

2.5 star –I wasn’t too impressed. It’s been a long time since I’ve actually had good Phở(nothing better than my dad’s homemade phở in unbiased opinion). My friend and I came here on a limb as we both were craving some phở but we left dissatisfied. The summer rolls were so small that it wasn’t even worth buying(you can probably make about 10 of those for the same price at home). The Phở wasn’t cloudy or murky(which I appreciate in my phở) BUT it was lacking flavor and it didn’t have the«phở» fragrance that I love. The texture of the beef balls were also kind of on the mushy side, which was off putting. I usually like my beef balls with a resilience and chew to them. The service was fast until we finished our meal. It was then when it became extra slow and there was NOONE in the restaurant which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. There were two people working, however, sometimes our waitress would disappear into the kitchen and we wouldn’t see her until another group of people came in. *Sigh* And the mission continues…

Phở Minh’s is a gem hidden located in Linden that, by its appearance, you would walk by without giving a second thought – however, you would be missing out. My review will focus on the three aspect we judge restaurants by:(1) food,(2) establishment, and(3) service. Food: They have a decent variety on the menu in terms of traditional Vietnamese food matched by various offerings of proteins. You can order the more traditional Phở and Bahn Mi sandwiches with beef filet or brisket, shrimp, pork, chicken, or veggies. We started with an order of their summer rolls which came out quickly and were very good. We ordered two of their noodle dishes and were not disappointed in terms of authenticity and flavor. In terms of value, Phở Minh’s offers amazing quality for the price. Our check came to $ 21 for an appetizer and two entrees. Overall, Phở Minh’s provides amazing food for the price. Establishment: Possibly one of the cleanest restaurants ever. The staff were constantly cleaning and wiping tables down, replacing silverware while wearing latex gloves, and wiping down the table following appetizers. While the restaurant wouldn’t likely appeal to many from the outside, the interior provides much more appeal. Service: Overall, the service could not have been better. The waiters were not as aggressive in checking in on us, but provided overall quality service. The waiters also did a great job explaining the food to a table next to us who were less knowledgeable about the food and as a result somewhat inquisitive.

Pretty average as far as food, atmosphere, and service goes. This mom and pop joint does serve authentic Vietnamese, which hard to comeby in north Jersey area. I recommend getting thr Banh Hoi dishes(ask for lettuce and peanut sauce to go with it). And the phở is decent.

Clean, great location located in Linden’s uptown with plenty of metered street parking. Bright, large«square» dining room. It is not fancy but very clean appearance, simple and friendly. We visited with a large group of 13 and they didn’t have a problem seating us all. They have a huge menu, many choices and what we ordered was very good. We had the friend spring rolls and summer rolls, both very good. I had the pork chop, strips of pork and Vietnamese crab cake which was the best I ever had. My brother in-law had the pork feet soup and heard the soup was fantastic. My wife had the pineapple fried rice which I did taste and it was not bad. They also serve bubble tea, I didn’t have any but several of my family did and they seem very happy with their choices. There were two servers for the whole restaurant and did their very best to get our order and meals correct and timely. Whenever we are going to be in the area and need a place to eat, we will be back. If you like Vietnames food and in the Linden area, this is worth a stop.

Went back after a hiatus and thought I should update. I’m not sure if they changed owners but the friendly brother and sister(mid-twenties) are no longer there. Servers are now two high school students, one of them being quite snippy. The service put me off. The food is the same, but the bubble tea is different — they probably changed brands. Not very good. There’s almost a creamier, salty taste to their new taro flavor. Phở still sucks. Entrees are decent. I only come here if I’m in Union County and crave spring rolls.

I’m really amazed that people are giving this place 4 stars. I ordered an extra large bowl of Phở however the waiter came back with a regular size bowl serving that was in an extra large size bowl. They were probably a total of 4 pieces of beef in the soup when usually other places give at least 8. It was so skimpy that I had to order another dish because I was still hungry. The flavor of the food was decent and the place is much nicer than it used to be. I don’t plan on returning unless I learn that the servings have improved.

I was craving Phở and looked to Unilocal to find a restaurant in the area. We shared the spring rolls and each got a big bowl of Phở. chicken for him and beef filet for me. The spring rolls were overly fried compared to rolls I’ve had elsewhere. The Phở was ok and even better topped with some hot sauce, but then again doesn’t hot sauce make everything taste better? I’ll keep this place in mind next time I’m craving Vietnamese food.

This is my new favorite go to Phở place in this area. I’m from NYC and I have tried sooo many Phở places in Brooklyn, Queens and Chinatown, but I think I rather come here. The reasons are: –This place is sooo spacious, you don’t have to constantly shift your chair for someone to get by behind you. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about, most phở places tends to cram gazillions tables and chairs in a little room! I love it that I can’t hear the conversations at the tables next to me. Lol –The bathroom is insanely clean. Overall, the place is very clean. Kudos to the staff. –Very good portions. I love how I can pick up my noodles with chopsticks without it falling into small chunks. –Food is good. The broth here is not as flavorful as some other phở places but I am completely fine with it. The other places probably put tons of MSG and always leaves me very thirsty after the meal. Not here, the flavor is not as strong and heavy, but the flavor is there and it makes me feel like I’m eating a healthier meal. The viet spring rolls were so good the last time I had it here, but my hubby said I was probably too hungry that day. So I will need to test it out again next time. So far so good.

In Union County New Jersey it’s easy to find Chinese food. You can’t throw a stick without hitting a take-out joint and there are actually a couple authentic Chinese restaurants here and there too. The one thing that you can’t find everywhere? Vietnamese food. While nowhere near as popular as Chinese or Japanese, this cuisine deserves some representation which is why I’m glad Phở Minh’s is around in a wonderful part of Linden. Phở Minh’s is located on Wood Avenue, a nice street with several shops and restaurants. The restaurant itself is pretty big and could probably accommodate 30 people if not more easily. The staff is very friendly though a tad distracted even when the restaurant isn’t full. I say that mainly because the staff was very attentive at first, but once we had our food they never came back to check if we needed anything(water refills etc.) which surprised me. It wasn’t a huge deal, I just found it out of the ordinary. On my recent visit I had the beef phở with thin sliced beef in a wonderful broth with noodles. On the side you are given sprouts, mint and lemon to add in, all of which I used along with some sriracha and hoisin sauce to complete my preferred flavor for phở. The beef was delicious and the noodles had a great texture. The broth was good, but my personal preference is for more of a star anise flavor in the broth. That said, I can understand why it would be toned down since that flavor isn’t one most people enjoy in a broth with noodles. I would definitely go back to Phở Minh’s. It’s not the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had, but it’s good and fairly priced.

This is a good local Vietnamese place, my fiancé and I have come here many times. I am so spoiled coming from the T dot O and working in NYC and having great Asian food. I have had better, but this place is just fine. The Phở is good, the broth is very tasty. We have also had the Bahn Mi several times, and always ask for extra meat, the baguette is always fresh. The spring and summer rolls have always been freshly prepared. They also have a good selection of bubble teas and some desserts. I’m glad we have a local Vietnamese place to come to, will definitely return!

You want some good broth? This is your place. I would have given this place a 5 stars if it wasn’t so different from the phở places I’ve gone to. They don’t serve the traditional bihn roll or my favorite nem noung rolls. They have a big bowl that feeds 2 for $ 8!!! They also have lunch deals and a vegetarian menu. They serve you pretty fast and the staff is very friendly. Like every place in wood Ave, you have to find street parking. I highly recommend.

In my never ending quest to find as many good Vietnamese restaurants in NJ as possible, I decided to bring my mother and big sister to try Phở Minh’s. Started with two appetizers; the sweet potato fritter with shrimp which turned out to be a great appetizer and the classic cold rice paper wrapped spring rolls Both were very tasty, but the sweet potato fritter was clearly the better of the two It was fried nicely and I swear it was like a shrimp latke. I wrapped a couple of pieces of the fritter with the supplied lettuce leaf greens and it was a nice cool light contrast to the starchy sweet potato. My entrée was the fried spring roll, beef roll, cucumber & bean sprouts over rice vermicelli(B12 on the menu). My only complaint about this dish was that I wish slightly more spring rolls and beef rolls were provided as I could make out only two of each item. Nonetheless with all the vibrant Vietnamese fresh herbs(lemongrass, lime, bean sprouts) and even some crushed peanuts for contrast, everything worked out to be a yummy fresh and light entrée. Both my sister and mother ordered the Phở Xe Lura(P1 on the menu) and they both enjoyed it. They mentioned that the broth was spot on; very well seasoned from the beef and rich as well. There was a pretty generous amount of beef and also the mandatory fresh veggies supplied with the phở. Mom and big sister finished their respective bowls(sans broth of course) and were satisfied. My sister also ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee which she said was great. I detest iced coffee(coffee should be hot IMO), but I’ll take her word on this one! I have to mention the service which was a tad spotty as it seemed the two waiters(particularly our waiter) was running around non-stop trying to service all the customers. I noticed a help wanted sign at the front door so maybe that explains the slightly slow service.

Went here for lunch on a Monday. Food was good, but service was soso. Not a bad place for viet food. I had a porkchop dish with rice and egg. I would come again.
