I will say I enjoy the food. it’s the service that is lacking. im happy they opened a new location on rt 22. because in order to get to the linden location I have to drive through the ghetto section. and those apes are all over the place. besides the fact that it’s in a real shitty part of town full of inner city pavement apes is a major down fall. I will enjoy the new location full of white happy professional faces

Unbelievably slow! So much staff on the floor. I ordered just biscuits and it took a good 13 min. I normally go here because its the nearest one but seriously people. The manager was counting money and saw money where the food goes, I was disgusted! Thank god I didnt order the fries!

This is the slowest Popeyes ever & the food is just okay most of the time. Why do I go there you ask? Because I’m starved and its 1 of the three fast food places I eat at, plus it’s close to home. The best Popeyes to me is Irvington, the food is always fresh, the only negative to that spot is the homeless people begging for money at the drive thru line; but in terms of taste & speed, Linden’s location should take notes.

Horrible service. We waited over 20 minutes just to get some chicken. Isn’t this considered fast food.

Chicken is great but the service sucks. Get someone to take your order and hope that it’s correct. The last time I went there it took 3 people to understand my order thru the drive in and they still screwed it up. I can assure you this is not the first time I had difficulty getting someone who understands english adequately to take and deliver an order. I recommend when you place an order check it carefully before you leave. I had other experiences at other Popeyes where you place an order and the attendant tells you what you should order and when you tell them no thank you they get arrogant. Popeyes really needs to get thier people to better communicate with their customers and adjust their attitudes or they will start losing business to their competition

I have never, ever, had a bad experience here. The staff are always pleasant and quick and the food is always hot, fresh and tasty. My husband and I get chicken here about once a month, we are normally green eaters, but, I do love fried chicken and I consider it a treat when we go there. We only ever use the drive-thru. Pretty much each time I go I leave a positive comment on their«tell us about your experience» phone number, however, since has a high rate of «traffic» I thought I would leave a positive review here also. I really wanted to leave five stars, but, my experience on Unilocal(so far) is that a lot of the five star reviews don’t seem like they’re from true customers. I am, a truly satisfied, return customer.

One day my girlfriend and I were wandering about Roselle and we stopped here for a quick snack. This Popeye’s is relatively new(it wasn’t there when I moved into the area over 6 years ago) and looks really nice on the outside and inside. It’s clean, the structure is well maintained and the interior has ceiling fans and plenty of seating. We went in and ordered. I ordered two of their healthier options, a chicken strip wrap and a diet soda. We waited for a while, and after about ten minutes the cashier waved me over, showing me a box that I *thought* contained my order, but when she said«Two chicken strips and a biscuit» I went«Um, that’s not mine.» Now, much to her credit she didn’t even flinch and immediately tried to correct my order. Unfortunately I had used a card(no ATM’s nearby) and she needed to charge me about a buck something more, but wound up charging me $ 2+ more instead. I had to explain the math didn’t work and she got it sorted out(hence why there are two stars and not only one in this review), but it was the most bizarre ordering experience. I mean, this stuff is computerized, it shouldn’t be this hard. What frustrated me is that off to the side, a manager was giving one of the other cashiers a talking to and didn’t attempt to come over to resolve the situation. Had it been me, I would’ve told the cashier to just call it even since she made the error. We’re talking less than $ 2, I think the store could’ve taken the hit and treated it as a lesson learned instead of overcharging my card and then having to void a transaction and so on. The chicken wrap itself was very tasty. It had some pickles, mayo, the chicken strip(nicely seasoned) and lettuce inside a tortilla styled wrap. My only complaint with the wrap was the wrap itself. It tasted fine, and its texture was good — but it was cold. They should really heat them up for a bit before serving them. No one wants a cold tortilla! I’m not planning on going back to this Popeyes any time soon, and the cashier I was dealing with had the VERY unenviable position of manning an inside cash register while taking orders from the drive through(despite the drive through having a separate person already) so I’m sure she was a bit frazzled, but still, it was one of the more confusing fast food experiences I’ve had in a while.

Good fried chicken very crispy, and tender inside. Reminds me of Roy Rogers fried chicken.
