My car wouldn’t start and I took it over to King Bear; they pinned down the issues quickly to my alternator and had my car in and out within the day. On top of it his guys gave me a ride to and from work. Thank you!

KING BEAR offered a $ 500 settlement, after sending me out on the road with a deficient vehicle.
After having three separate mechanics check out my car, each informed me King Bear never should have passed it for inspection in the first place.
I was sent out on to the road with an unsafe vehicle. The brakes went a few weeks after passing inspection, and the whole front end was riddled with rot. Had to replace most of it, before it finally fell apart on the road. I had had the care for 2 months. King Bear said it was ok to purchase and drive

these guys ripped me off — i was a good customer then they charged me $ 100 to take off the hood that covers the engine in a mini van — it was just 2 laches that had to be unhooked no tools needed — they never diagnosed the van and just billed me 100 for nothing — took my business else ware — rip offs

This place isn’t even worthy of the single star that I was forced to give it. They sell cheap, poorly maintained cars and don’t honor their warranties or lemon laws. They misrepresented problems with my car in hopes that they wouldn’t have to fix the transmission while it was still under warranty. After getting frustrated with their service, I had a friend of mine take a look. He fixed problems that King Bear’s mechanics claimed to fix already and told me that their shoddy fixes wouldn’t last for a single month past the warranty date.
Buy your car somewhere else. Get your cars fixed anywhere else. I have trouble believing that the mechanics or their cronies aren’t responsible for the other 5 star reviews. Buyer beware.

Do not EVER EVER EVER go to King Bear in Lindenhurst. I went here because I saw a local ad in the paper for a cheap oil change. They took me in the garage to look under my hood and my air tube was cut in half.. . PERFECT slice. Unreal. I left the lot and my car started stalling immediately. Coincidence? Doubt it. They’re frauds. Either they don’t know how to give an oil change or they cut my air tube in half… either way, you can’t win. Stay far away from this place.

Beware! This place is scammer central! I took my car for muffler repair and the owner who was completely rude and obnoxious, told me I had exhaust leaks and needed brakes and offered to fix my headlight for 3 x the price retail on eBay. I agreed only to the original muffler job and the exhaust leak, only to drive off the next day still
smelling exhaust. When I confronted the mechanic who also claimed he was the owner, that the exhaust was still coming through, he told me to bring it back. Funny enough, he took $ 50 off the bill but gave me a serious attitude and told me he could not fix the original leak. I said, then why did you bill me for something you couldn’t fix? He said it was a billing error. Never never again, this guy gave me the creeps and did not like confrontation! Stay away!
