Ok I do this weird thing where I get an immense craving for something I’ve never had before & today was one of those days.
I wanted beef, thought I wanted a burger, but Noooo! My tastebuds kept saying chinese. But I didn’t want a heavy brown sauce. Lobster sauce kept popping in my head.
Nah! Not with beef. So I ignored it. Kept working. Faxing paperwork but that little voice kept saying Beef with Lobster Sauce. So by the time I succumbed to the voice it’s 3pm & all the places by me stop serving lunch specials.
So I end up here & that’s why the extra star. For serving lunch until 4pm and most importantly letting me go off menu with no problem or extra charge!
This is a dish you must try. They need to put it on the menu! It was Scrumdillyicious! And only $ 6.80. Thanks to fellow Unilocaler Chun for this beef inspired meal. And Yaaay for Tangs for being so accomodating!

Good food fast waiters nothing bad about this place and really nice people also not frozen you can tell the difference I give this place an A++

Mom always said, people would eat s t, this is really, bad food, and it’s recycled, they are so disgusting, people get sick from this, the place is filthy, and the kitchen is gross, the cooks go to the bathroom, and don’t wash, there hands, so you get a lot more for free. You guys who like the food enjoy, no one is gonna change your mind, this is for new comers. They’ve found cigarette butts in the food, can you imagine what you don’t see, my family got diarrhea a couple of times, and the manager owner Tony only cares about your money, trust me no lie ! If you complain, he says ok, no I’m sorry, cause I’ found the cigarette butt in my daughters chicken and broccoli, no apology ! Or refund or I’ll give you a credit, just couldn’t wait to hang up the phone, and move on to the next phone order ! If you eat there, your at risk of this. Any way Bön appetite, hey Tony you get it yet ! Your never apologized, or anything ! Hundreds of people read the Truth !

I’ve been eating here for over 20 yrs. I absolutely love the food and the guy’s that work there are AWESOME. Tony the owner is a great guy he makes the best hot and sour soup. Jimmy one of the waiters he is a great waiter he remembers your name and what you order. He’s known my kids since they were born he calls himself Uncle Jimmy and he’ll have the kitchen make them Chinese chicken nuggets. They have wonderful lunch specials with soup or egg roll for under 6.00 it’s a great deal. Check it out you won’t be disappointed at all. They also have great deals for in restaurant parties. Please go eat there.

Yes, walking into Tangs is like walking into a time zone. The décor is something out of the 1980’s, with the wicker/​basket weave chairs & pink cloth napkins but don’t let that fool you… this place is a diamond in the rough. Tangs has been here a very long time & never fails to please.

The food is always appetizing, fresh, delicious, and plentiful. It’s your typical Chinese food but it’s served «a la carte». We you can share a plate or each.
Not many actual Chinese restaurants around, mostly take-​out & Tangs is always ready to please the appetite !
They also have a full bar… served with the paper umbrellas! You know that put a smile on your face!

Don’t let the outdated exterior fool you. The times I’ve been here for lunch the place is busy and vibrant. The service is overly friendly and welcoming, and very open to making suggestions. For lunch you get the fried and deliciously crunchy dough served with duck sauce and a spicy mustard, tea, soup, and a wonderful selection of lunch items that transcend the overused general tso and chicken and broccoli. Then the check comes and you’re paying under $ 10. Remarkable value and tasty food.

This place is great. Their prices are fair and the food is consistently good. I order take out from here frequently and it’s always quick and delicious.

Went here tonight with the girly friend. We ordered the Pu Pu Platter and Garlic Chicken. Both dishes were great and the service was excellent. They gave us crunchy noodles and duck sauce and tea to start, along with hot towels. The restaurant definitely has an old feeling to it. Sort of reminds me of an old school city restaurant. Great food!
We will definitely go back when we want sit down Chinese Food.

Steamed ribs in black bean sauce. Haven’t had it since I was a kid. Yummy“fried rice dark and tasty. The steak in brown sauce very flavorful. Pan fried noodles chic full of shrimp, chicken, pea pods. Noodles were plentiful and tasted good. A hit. Glad we stopped. As for Jimmy the waiter. One of theist pleasant people you will ever meet.

I’ve eaten there many times over the years. It’s really gone downhill. The outside looks run-​down and dirty. The food is inconsistent… sometimes good, sometimes blah. The won tons in the won ton soup are those cardboard ones they must buy in bulk-​not homemade.
The people are very nice, but it’s not what it used to be.

Delicious Chinese food mixed with great service. The portions are big at very reasonable prices. Definitely enough to take some home for lunch the next day. The General Tso’s is definitely one of our favorite dishes there. The complimentary hot tea was delicious as well. They also serve up the absolute best glass of sky juice in town. :-)

No contest best Chinese food in the area. Fair prices great food. Order now thank me later.

Sorry Tangs but décor is a little old and out dated food was OK a little over cooked. Not what you used to be a little disappointed, but hospitality was great.

Tangs lunch specials are such a great deal. So much food for a great price. Service is great and super fast. Food is fresh and delicious.

Simply the best. Been coming here for a long time. Amazing every time. Staff is wonderful. Make sure to try the beef sticks!

This place USED to have the best chicken and broccoli around but the past 2 times I’ve ordered, it was TERRIBLE… such a shame that their consistency is so poor, Def not a place to sit down and dine in but it USED to have great take-out…I’m done with Tangs

Tang is my favorite Chinese restaurant and I’m from Queens so I know good Chinese food lol

Always passed by this place and never had takeout.
I should have kept passing. The food was nothing to rave about. Their pork fried rice is done with brown rice and a bunch of vegetables. It was not good.
The food wasn’t horrible but for their prices I’d rather eat elsewhere

Consistently good ! I’ve never had anything I didn’t enjoy and the prices can’t be beat. My suggestions would be fried veggie dumplings and chicken and cashews. They also all speak English and can accommodate allergies and alterations well

This place has been around forever and my parents have been going there for years. I love the atmosphere. Low lighting, Chinese theme, etc. But underneath all that, it is pretty dirty. My sister once got a glass that had lipstick on it. Ick!
I prefer the General Tso chicken. Its amazing. But they tried to pull a quick one on my friend and I when they added additional charges to the bill. They added an additional 3 dollars per dish for «white meat» without even giving us an option. Ever since, I lost faith in the place and stopped going there. I would still like to go back for the cheesy, grimy atmosphere and delicious General Tso, but I feel a bit betrayed…
