I took my daughters to Mcdermont Field House for the first time yesterday. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m from Fresno and no one I know had been there. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and so were my daughters. They had an absolute blast and can’t wait to go back. The flow rider was a blast and to my knowledge unlike any attraction near me. The rock climbing area was nice and challenging. The indoor soccer area has a massive slide that the girls loved sliding down along with a few bounce houses. The arcade area was average. Laser tag was a blast and was included in the family package I purchased. In my opinion the prices weren’t bad at all. Included in the family package for $ 69 was 4 all access passes, $ 40 on the arcade card, 4 soft drinks and a large pizza. We ended up spending about 5 hours there and we would definitely go back. Wish it was closer to me but it’s definitely worth the drive.

This place is so much fun! Wave pool, arcade games, bounce houses, basketball courts, laser tag, gym, rock wall, indoor soccer! You could spend all day here and never run out of things to do. We went here for my little boy’s birthday, and we had a blast! I felt like a kid. I seriously was all up in the bounce houses, and I got jacked up. I came tumbling down like a sack of potatoes! So much fun. This place rocks!

I love Mcdermont field house. The membership rates are very reasonably priced. I have a fitness membership which includes a very nice workout room with cardio machines, weight machines and free weights, an Olympic sized pool, and a variety of classes with knowledgable instructors. All this for half the price of a comparable gym membership.

I come here to workout whenever I visit family. The cardio equipment is pretty old and run down but still gets the job done. Very spacious for circuit training. Also, there is an arcade, cross fit section, laser tag, bounce house and wave rider section. This place could use some med balls and mats for stretching.

This place is a lot of fun… The laser tag is the absolute BEST! There are bunkers and everything. Soooooo awesome. The surfing was great too. It can get packed though and it takes awhile to let everyone get through while taking turns. Only one person can ride at a time. The rock climbing was also amaaazzzziinnggg. I only have two grumbles. It is veryyyyyy hot inside. There is no AC as it is a large warehouse. So in the summer, it can get really hot, especially in the laser tag area because that is down in the basement. The other issue I had was that a couple of the employees were pretty rude. I did not let them ruin my fun, but it could’ve put a less chipper me in a bad mood. On the other hand though, several of the employees were really nice, going out of their way to make sure everything was going well and the kids had fun surfing, bouncing, etc. So we had a mix of both nice and not so nice employees. Overall, I was happy with the trip. I will def be returning … Once it cools down, that is.

If you are anywhere near Lindsay, CA this place is a must! Seriously, it is the only structure in the town that accomodates the public. You can do almost any sports type activity here! Tons of workout options, basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc, etcj Even other towns send their youth here for camps, etc.

We just took a tour & signed up here so this review is strictly based on first impressions. First off, it’s HUGE! An old packing house apparently. To the left are basketball courts where half is covered with enormous bounce houses during the weekend. Then we went downstairs to the laser tag. Looks pretty rad. Then thru the arcade(maybe a little dated) & on to the gym. Nothing too fancy, but plenty to get the job done. Weights downstairs, cardio up top. He said new treadmills coming soon and there were 2 stair climbers. They have classes & a separate room with a lighted dance floor where they have Zumba & host parties. Pretty sweet. Then we went & saw the two indoor soccer fields, and the rock wall beyond that(maybe 70′ or so?). On the way back we saw the flowrider & the employee did a little demo for us. At this point we were sold. After signing up we made our way back to the bounce houses to let the kids burn off some energy & were pleased to find a little café with pizza & snacks & a loft area up top with TVs & pool tables. Totally blown away by everything this place has to offer, and that they make it so affordable!

It was a hot on a 100+ degree day, but it was the perfect location for a children’s B-day party. There is so much to do. Between the rock wall, laser tag, flow rider, giant bounce houses, and more, it is a lot of fun!

Came here 3 times already, despite one hour drive each way. Overall the service is very good, except the bald headed guy at the front desk. He’s not very helpful or friendly. Thus 4 stars, rather than 5. Rock climb«rocks»! Flowrider is very unique and fun! Bounce houses are nice for the kids! Overall very good experience! Definitely would come back in the future! Tip: They only have bounce houses in the weekend, not weekdays!

I absolutely love this place. What is there not to do? There is a soccer field, a huge arcade, a skate park, a basketball arena, a rock climbing wall, a surfing area(the Flow Rider!) and perhaps the best laser tag arena in the valley. They also have great pizza! The staff is for the most part is pretty awesome. I haven’t had a bad experience with the staff at all. The only thing is that the arcade sometimes has broken games — but it is pretty huge so you should have no problem finding another game to play. They even one time had huge bounce house slides in the soccer field! And I’ve been here for Halloween a while back too. There was a haunted carnival in the basketball arena. They had a hay ride to a haunted house. I was too chicken to go though. Lol. This is definitely a great place for friends and family to go to! I recommend it.

I love coming to this place… especially when they are offering a Groupon or Living Social deal. It is a little pricey to get in as other reviewers have stated, if you have a lot of people in your group, but w/a coupon you really cant pass it up. You can get an ALLDAYPASS that includes admission, flowrider, rock climbing wall, fitness center, basketball, soccer and bounce houses for $ 14.95(and that’s w/out a deal). I just wished that you could purchase a pass that would include laser-tag, you have to purchase that attraction separately. I had never been here, until my nephew was going to have a birthday party. It is a little drive from my home and I heard the building was an old packing plant/warehouse, so I wasn’t too stoked to go at first. I considered sending the kids w/family just cause I wasn’t interested, but decided to go at the last minute and I am glad that I did. The parking is really kind of non-existent, in that there is not a big lot specifically for this place. There is street parking, and a little lot across the street. And by saying ‘little’ that is being generous. The lot has about 10 plus spaces and they are TINY. If you have a large vehicle, such as a truck, parking is going to be a challenge. Once inside, you see how huge this place is. It is 3 stories and is handicapped friendly by offering elevators. You go to the counter and purchase your tickets and they have you sign a waiver. It is a pain in the butt if you have to fill out more than 2 and you have people standing behind you in line. There are a lot of young people that work here, so keep that in mind. When you walk in, you don’t know where to start. To your left is the basketball courts, snack bar and laser tag. To your right is the arcade, fitness center, flow rider, and other attractions. Then above you, you have one of the soccer ‘fields’ and some bounce houses. Now, if you have more than one kid its a virtual tug of war, cause one wants to go one way and the other wants to go another. Before coming here, I had never done real rock climbing. I have only been on the ones for kids, with the color coded handles. This rock wall is legit. It is super high and is much like a real rock, w/only a few little grooves carved into it to grab on to. This rock wall is both for kids and adults. They suit you up w/a helmet and harness. They don’t give you a time limit, which is nice so that you can try multiple times. It is harder than you think, especially if you are out of shape like me. All in all it is a very fun activity for everyone. They also have an indoor skate park in which you can ride your skateboard or roller skates. It is a lot of fun cause they have different ramps, like they would at any skate park. They have beginner ramps as well as more skilled ones. The wave runner is awesome from my hubby and kids experience. The weather was just too cold for me to partake, but they have a little seating area so that you can watch. You go stand in line, an employee hands you a board and down you go riding the wave. The water is very cold, had it splashed on me a time or two and then drying the kiddos off they were shivering. It seems like it would be perfect in summer. If you have a soccer ball, then you can go out and play on one of their two soccer fields(indoor) and if soccer isn’t your thing, they have various bounce houses set up. Sometimes you have to track down an employee to be able to use the bounce house. I really enjoy coming to this place, and have been there multiple times since I was invited to that birthday party. The arcade games suck sometimes, as is the case w/most arcades. Some games work, some don’t. I think it is great what this place is doing for the youth, to provide an outlet for them. Mc Dermont is located in the super small town of Lindsay, and there is not much for the local kids to do. Even though I am about an hour drive from here, it is still worth it to make the drive because I enjoy it as well as my kids. This place is a solid 5 stars for me, in regards to the variety of activities that they offer, but the service isn’t that great from the teenagers that are working there. Still, we will be back

Okay so because plans have been cancelled, my boyfriend and I decided ‘hey let’s go flowriding all day in Lindsey!’ Fucking bad idea. Understandable it’s not the ideal season for water sports, but if I drive 4 hours from sacramento and call(morning of) to ask if their flowrider is going to be open I could atleast get a heads up that the other half was going to be BROKEN. I was furious to walking thinking ‘hell yea! I’m gonna be riding all day. Fuck the cold! It’s a flowrider!’ But NO I walk in to half a flowrider and a hand full of half naked freezing kids. If we would have know I would have stayed in sac and rode there; I would have been waiting in line forever but under heaters! There were heaters(in the mcdermont field house) obviously out on display but they weren’t put up! THECOLDSTILLHAUNTSME! The arcade sucks. I can’t rockclimb for shit. The next time I come back would probably be the next time I drive by to go to Disneyland with a middle finger up :) I wish I could rate this place a half a star. Horrible experience. Going to give my buds a heads up on how bad this place has become and not recommend going back. Btw this is the second time I have ever been here and probably the last.

My family and I visited the McDermont Field House in December. I was surprised at how pricey it was. We had a great time but we spent $ 50 just to get in and to play laser tag. This did not include what we spent at the arcade. They didn’t have the greatest arcade selection. However, their laser tag room was awesome and we had so much fun playing.

Fun place to take the kids or family from out of town. My kids really liked the rock climbing wall they were on that thing for about 2 hours so that was good for me. kept them busy! They also tried the flow rider they liked that too but not as much as climbing. Kinda pricey $ 15 pp for an all day pass but you can be there all day so i guess its OK. Anyway my kids keep asking to go again.
