I ordered three beautiful Dala horses from their website. I had some questions and got quick responses by email. I received my lovely horses — all made in Sweden — and was very happy with the quality and the price.

Our first visit today. Very disappointed. When we walked in there were two employees and neither one greeted us, nor spoke to us the whole time while we were in their shop(no one else was there) We wanted to buy a few gifts, but many of the items are very overpriced. Having said that, I still would have paid, but with service(or lack of) like that, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I love the Hemslojd! Stop by after Christmas for great sales on Swedish Christmas decorations!

I have ordered many online items and have received all quality products. They have a wide selection of items that I couldn’t find anywhere else in the U.S. When I contacted them to inquire about an item they were quick to respond and incredibly nice. It is hard to get a piece of Sweden in California so I am thankful for Hemslojd!

Awesome people to deal with. I ordered etched pint glasses for my wedding party from their website. The glasses turned out perfect and Marc, the guy I dealt with was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone.

My husband and I visit the Hemslojd(hem-sloyd) every time we’re back in the Salina area to visit my family. It’s a must-stop location in Lindsborg! They made dala horses on site, and you can watch the process, from carving to painting. You can also Swedish crafts, lace and other materials… as well as Lingonberry Jam and Anna’s cookies! Plus you have to have your picture taken while sitting on the huge dala horse outside! I wonder if they still have ceiling tiles on an easel for you to sign when you visit? Look up in the workshop area and see the names on the ceiling… your name could be hung up there for a couple years or so. And I just discoved that you can get an Ostkaka(Swedish Cheese Cake. more like a sweet cottage cheese) on their web site!
