I just came from«Take Your Camera Off Program Mode! Part I» and can’t say enough about it. The class was really informative; Okello gave big-picture photography concepts, along with detailed DSLR how-to’s. His presentation was spot-on: one projection screen showed what he was doing with his own camera in real time, including the buttons and settings he was pushing. The other had a multimedia slideshow he would refer to as needed, with case studies and other examples. Everything was perfectly orchestrated for maximum illustration and to keep things interesting. Okello also has a friendly and funny presence, and the three hours flew by in no time. Most importantly, while he clearly has an exhaustive knowledge of photography, he didn’t burden us with subjects that people don’t need to know at this stage. I’ve taken a DSLR photography course before and felt overwhelmed; now I actually feel empowered and excited to get the most out of my camera!
