The one thing I can tell you about MITAGS is that you will never go hungry. The rooms are a bit old but, they will be remodeling. The staff is super serviceable and friendly. If you are staying for school be ready to study and get a good knowledge base. 4 stars based on the staff and food. The hotel is within walking distance of a movie theater and a Ruby Tuesday and that is about it.

CMM grad here.
All classes are worthwhile except for the meteorology class which was taught by some guy from UW Madison. His uncalled-​for arrogance paired by his acute misunderstanding of our industry made for a long week.
Otherwise the classes were A-​OK.
Your other option for CMM is Dania, I haven’t been there but a former classmate says it is OK.
Suggest stay away from Mid-​Atlantic. They are just a certificate-​mill with no real substance.

Amazing learning center. Best maritime classes in the industry.
Dinning room is 5-​star. Plenty of healthy options.
Skip the lodge. Stay in one of the nearby hotels.
Only complaint: Fixed pricing. While the dining room is superb, the cost is VERY HIGH. Meals are fixed price per day – you pay for all three meals, even if you only eat one. Lodge is old and in dire need of modernization. Plenty of nearby hotels.

The Maritime Institute was a great place for my conference. The service was wonderful and the people were nice. They had everything, a pool, a recreation room, a laundry room, and a bar. There was a 24-​hour shuttle with great drivers. If I had another conference it would definitely be there.
