The Park Inn is one of two motels I know of in Linton(the other being a tad more seedy looking from the outside). I spent many summers in Linton with family, so when I came to Linton for a funeral, I knew that The Park Inn was probably a better choice than the other motel. I’m afraid I can’t give this place a high rating, and the only thing stopping me from giving it one star is that its not the other place. I stayed here for four days and nights. What was advertised was Free Wifi, non-smoking rooms, and good prices. The prices were good, truly. My «non-smoking room» smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, making me think it was never cleaned after it was changed from a smoking room to a non-smoking one. For the four days I was here, the Wifi did not work at all. I would call down to the front desk who would inform me it «wasn’t working again» and«try it later» or that«someone was coming tomorrow to fix it»…except when tomorrow came, «They werent able to fix it». So the entire time I was here, I had no access to the internet and they had no computer I could use to check in for my flight or get much done in the way of work. The hot water ran out after one shower(I was unable to shower after my partner, as there was no more hot water)…something I have never run across in a hotel/motel before. Even if they have individual hot water heaters per room(which would be inefficient at the very best), she was only in there for 20 minutes. When I got in it was cold. The front desk staff were friendly to us while we were staying here, but they honestly did not seem to think the lack of Wifi or hot water was much of a problem at all. Aside from the cig smell, the rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The hotel is dated, but they are in the slow process of upgrading their rooms so I wouldn’t fault them for that. I don’t think I’d stay here again though.
