My wife and I come down each year to visit her parents. We always visit once our twice while we’re here. I always get the large tenderloin, they use cheeze it crackers in there coating, awesome. It is a greasy spoon, but it’s great food at great prices

I was visiting family in Washington, IN, which is a very small town, and our grandmother suggested we go to The Grill, which was approximately 45 min north for a late lunch. ATMOSPHERE: No frills, old school diner that is divey, cash only(with an ATM inside, $ 2 service charge) but with free wireless Internet along the lines of a Waffle House. Very casual. Booth or counter seating available. FOOD: Breakfast all day as well as lunch fare. Good variety. Pictures of menu posted. Yummy and so cheap! We were disappointed they were out of biscuits and gravy at the time we arrived around 2pm. I ordered: 1. Steak cooked rare and eggs sunny side up with a biscuit and coffee meal — only $ 7! Everything was very good. Steak was a good piece of meat. Very lean yet moist and tender. SERVICE: Very good. No complaints here. PARKING: Free across the street to the right of the restaurant. CONCLUSION: I can’t believe how cheap and good everything was! Yummy comfort food! I would definitely come back if I were nearby.

The Grill has been in Linton for many years and my mother worked there long before I was born. Their food is simple but good. Portions are decent and the booths are massive. While their wait staff sometimes seem a bit on the slow side, this is more due to the fact that they will stop and chat with you. It’s truly a place where the server knows your name. They serve breakfast all day and on the weekends they grill steaks out front, rain or snow. I would highly recommend them. Any person who’s from Linton would highly recommend this place, and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of their food and low prices.

The Grill, the oldest operating resturant in Linton. The Grill has survived the Great Depression, WWII, Vietmam, etc. It’s a cash only operation. It will take you back to the 1930’s in a flash! The historical pictures on the wall, it has a bar, and booths for seating. The menu is varied. They offer breakfast all day! Our favorite is the steak and eggs! They have Steak dinners on the weekends. The beef manhattan is wonderful too!
