Évaluation du lieu : 2 Temple Terrace, Tampa Bay, FL
I had two(2) separate Intra-Ocular Lens Implant surgeries to eliminate the cataract accomplished by this Doctor. 1996: It was botched up at the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ. About 10 – 15 mins. into the operation, the piece of equipment in the operating room that dissolves the existing lens tissue had failed upon it’s use. The back-up equipment also failed. After a search, another Hospital had the proper equipment, but it was about 20 miles away in Cape May Court House, NJ. This Doctor decided to obtain that equipment to complete this operation. The Doctor and the O.R. staff left and broke scrub. I was left on the operating gurney with the Anesthesiologist under a light anesthetic. It took almost 3 hours to send personnel down to retrieve the equipment. After which, the eye operation was completed in about 30 mins. The Post-Op evaluation found an infection in the operated eye which was treated with antibiotics and eventually eliminated. A few weeks later, YAG laser surgery was accomplished twice to eliminate numerous«floaters» in the operated eye. Eventually, the acuity of this eye was better than 20⁄20 in a couple of years. 2015: This operation was preformed at an out-patient.non-hospital surgery facility in Somers Point, NJ. No issues were encountered. The Post-Op evaluation showed that the acuity of this operated eye was about 20÷30−20÷40. A follow-up office visit a few months later showed the same acuity issue. Bottom Line: You decide. So far, I am very disappointed with this acuity. I am assuming it will improve to 20⁄20 or better over time. We shall see…
