Chummys Diner

I checked this place out for breakfast for the first time about a month ago. I have been back several times since. It is nothing fancy, but the 3 egg omlettes are great and the home fries are consistently perfect and crunchy, if thats what you like. The prices are reasonable as well. There never seems to be more than a couple of people working there at any given time (probably the owners) but they work hard and are very efficient. Even when busy, the wait time is not bad. I wish this place success, and they seem to be doing well. The diners that occupied this strip mall space in the past never seemed to stay in business long, and for good reason. The people that run this place now do a very good job.

I was treated to breakfast this morning and ordered the #3; two eggs sunny side up, home fries, Texas toast and sausage links. The eggs were prepared just right. My wife had the #3 with bacon, which was crispy.
The waitress was prompt and friendly. The décor was nice and spacious with some nice artwork by a local painter.
Overall a great experience at a low price.

My first time here and it was very good. It’s a small local diner in our town that’s probably just like all other small town diners. The people are friendly and the food is good!

Friendly service, decent food and low prices. Exactly what you would hope to find in a small town diner and Chummy’s hits the mark. I’m a breakfast sandwich aficionado and theirs way exceeded my expectations based on the quality of their bagel alone. It had a good chew to it yet was semi soft. I was delighted. The home fries I felt could have used some seasoning. They were rather plain. Which is disappointing because I liked that they were cooked reasonably well done. Nothing worse than under seasoned, half cooked homefries. So thankfully they hit one out of two. I would give it another go for sure.
If my mother had reviewed this breakfast, it would have been a three. She ordered a cheese omelette and added bacon. Unfortunately she could not really taste the cheese and does not care for the style of omelette they serve (the type where the egg is spread out and fully cooked then the ingredients thrown in the middle, the egg folded over everything like a pouch of separate ingredients — As opposed to when it all kind of melds together and becomes one thing. Hopefully someone else knows what I’m saying!)

I think their breakfast food is the bar in town!
The service is excellent and always has a smile!
