The Kitchen At Iroquois Farm

I don’t like reviewing places after only one visit however I feel my visit warrants it. I called early to see if I needed reservations and was told I did not (assuming it was because it was just for two). Upon arrival there was no greeter and we stood around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to notice us. After awhile we were taken upstairs which was a bit warm. The person told us our waitress would be by soon yet after another 20 minutes no one had stopped by. Eventually we were given the smallest glasses of waters I’ve ever seen. Finally drink orders were taken and within 15 minutes drinks were served. Nearby customers seemed agitated due to the long wait. The waitress appeared to be working the entire restaurant and although she was very nice, it was difficult to get service. Food was salty but ok. The green beans were pretty good. Dessert was great. The place was very busy so the establishment needs to get a couple servers so people at least have drinks when waiting around for food to arrive. I’ve heard good things so maybe my experience was an anomaly…

Went last night for my birthday. A casual 2 hour dinner with great food, that was well prepared with excellent service!

We happed out of town for the long drive… was well worth the trip. Last time I was there it was a snowstorm and this time I got to see the layout here… this place has a grand view of the river and it is a farm… so I bet in the summer it is grand.
Tonite we had that great bottle of Hahn… and we tried the roasted beet salad– best salad I have ever had.
The stout and caramelized onion soup was the best I have ever eaten.
My hubbie had the flank steak. All was done to perfection. WOW!!!
