I had my riding mower in last year for drive belt. They fixed it for and it ran. But then this year, the blade belt goes out. So I brought back and they fixed it. Wouldn’t you think that they would have noticed the blade belt ready to go out? Wait, it gets better. On second time using it this year, the blade belt goes out again. They are just bad, and not nice people to deal with either. Very smug.

Took a Honda lawn mower that I purchased there for service one year after purchase. The mower was chugging and the engine was struggling and dying after running about 40 feet. They had the mower, claimed it was a carburetor and fixed it. We brought it home, and it still did not work. We brought it back, they looked at it, and now say it’s a spark plug issue and claimed they fixed it. I picked it up and again, still have the same issue. I brought it back a third time and waited. And Waited. Finally, after hounding them on the status of our mower, they claimed they rebuilt the carburetor and it is fixed. When I picked it up, I started it up on their lot and it seemed fine. But I killed the engine, waited a minute, and started it again and the same issue was still prevalent — engine struggling and dying. They said if I re-start it right away, I’m going to have that issue. This was pretty ridiculous, I’m not sure what they are doing here but the fact that I have to keep calling them to get the status on a mower that it doesn’t seem like they are fixing anyway, speaks a lot to their level of service. Do yourself a favor and look for other places to get your lawn mower serviced. I certainly will never be back and the person to recommended them to me has apologized profusely for doing so.

I had an appointment scheduled, the service tech did not show. Upon calling for confirmation, they said that they had emailed me that I needed to come in. I retrieved all of their emails confirming my in home appointment but no cancellation email. It was a blatant lie for poor service. I wish I had read the otehr bad reviews.

The customer service is horrible. They do not honor any warranty. They treat you like pond scum. Stay away.

Criminals. Never ever use this place — seriously crappy service, and attitudes plus they stole my mower and gave me a poor attempt at replacement. I had a nice clean 2 yr old mower and got back a hunk of scratched up junk that has to be 5+ years old. NOTEVENCLOSETOMYMOWER — i did not register mine, so i think that provided them the opportunity to pull the three card monty and switch mine with some POS they probably got for a trade in. Like Tim O — mine was supposed to be a carburetor issue, they said they fixed. Picked it up in rain and asked if i could start it — guy says with the work done they had to empty the gas tank to work on carb. When i got home and went to fill the mower i got — almost full tank. So clearly not my mower. I took my 2 year old Honda in for service. They never called back, and when I called to get it they said it was done. BUT, when i got the mower home — ITWASNOTMYMOWER — they switched. And, the mower they gave me back doesn’t work! $ 115 for service and they took my mower and gave me someone elses — and that mower doesn’t work. UNREAL. Then they need proof of purchase so they don’t have buy a part to fix the mystery mower — so i am inconvenienced again to even get back the replacement mower they gave me. These clowns are worthless, and i submit they knowingly swapped my mower for this POS they gave me and sold mine as used. Go anywhere else but here for any service. And if you are dumb enough to use this place — clearly mark your mower or you will have the old bait and switch done to you as well. This is what i get for trying to support local businesses.

If all you need is your blades sharpened or air filter installed, you are probably okay. But any repairs you should avoid this place. They took me for 200 dollars on a repair to a Briggs and Stratton engine by convincing me that it needed a new carburetor. They installed it but it still does not run.

A consistently vile and unhelpful staff: A bad vibe permeates the premises. I spent 5 minutes getting grilled and frowned at regarding a part I wanted to purchase for my Toro. I received no real help. Came home, hit a few keystrokes on Amazon, and received my part. Never again shall I submit to the cruel vagaries of this most disagreeable establishment.

I went to kipps to get an air filter for my john deere garden tractor. They used to be a Deere dealer, but found out they only do parts and service. I felt they would still be competitive with other deere dealers… my mistake. bought my air filter for $ 59.28 plus $ 4.30 for the governor. I gasped at the price but paid thinking it was the«JD price». Called Hogan Walker(dealer) when I got home and found they sell the same for $ 42 and some change. later was able to find on line for about half that. I don’t know if kipps price their other merchandise similarly, but they appear to have no qualms about gouging on some deere parts. hope i never have to return to their store.

can’t say anything other than for parts. had what i needed. good price. did get a bad vibe while i was in there though. i can see how others could have had problems, it didn’t seem like it was on the up and up.

Customers should be warned that Kipp’s is not honoring Toro warranties. I have a two year old Toro lawn mower that came with a 5 year 100% Guarantee. A wire came loose from the engine kill switch. Imagine my surprise when I put the switch on «Stop» and the engine kept running! There is no other way to stop the engine. I took the part(with one loose wire) and later the mower to Kipp’s. The counter person looked at the switch and pulled very hard on the wire that was still attached until it came off. He said it would be about a week since he had to order the part. A week and a half later they called and said they couldn’t fix it under warranty«because the wires were pulled off»! They said the wires were originally soldered. Being an electrical engineer I know what soldered wires and terminals look like. One terminal on the switch looked like it had been tinned. The other switch terminal and the two wires had no evidence whatever of ever having been soldered. Kipp’s has shown some of the poorest customer service I have seen in a long time. Since their prices are nothing special I would suggest people go elsewhere for lawnmowers and such.
