So far, I am definitely a fan of Dr. Ford’s office. It’s been awhile since I’ve had actual, honest to goodness health insurance that would cover an annual exam so I was in the market for a new doctor. I took a chance on finding her in my list of «in network» options and called to make an appointment. I had to book about a month out, so if you’re in immediate need you might be out of luck for a new patient appointment. And if you are a new patient, give yourself plenty of time to go in for this exam — it took me about an hour and 45 minutes before I was done. I arrived literally right on time, filled out paperwork and waited about 15 minutes before the nurse took me back — she asked me lots of questions and took a general history(always good). Then I waited in Dr. Ford’s office for about another 15 minutes, where she then came in and met and chatted with me about my medical history, my job, etc. etc. etc.(she said she makes an effort to get to know all her patients, which I like). I waited another 15 minutes for the exam to start, which was quick and efficient. They actually give you a real gown to wear during the exam(I had never even seen one before, lol) — and I was pleased to see a washer/dryer unit in the nurse’s station(after your exam is done, there’s a laundry basket in the exam room). The entire office looks like it was literally designed for its purpose; there are little«cubby» areas for you to hang your clothes and several other aspects of the office design that really made it feel like it was a nice doctor’s office to be in. They told me my next annual exam would much faster, but until I can«see it and believe it,» I’m giving this visit a solid 4 stars for a good experience — I would’ve given it 5 if there had been just a little less waiting time throughout the appointment.
