This is the Parks description from their website… The Mt. Carmel Ball Park is located on Kent Drive, off Mt. Vernon Road, three-quarters of a mile north of Fairburn Road/Georgia Hwy. 92. The facilities include a playground, meeting room, two concession stands, restrooms, and four ballfields Well if you notice it’s not very descriptive and after deciding to turn down the road that leads to the park you start to realize why. I mean don’t get me wrong, there are trees, grass, fresh air, swings for the kids(I think I saw swings), a couple of Baseball fields as well. So it’s a apparently a park, but this place is RUNDOWN. I grew up in Fulton County and I have NEVEREVER in ALL of my Life of LIVING(Sorry I had to go there) seen a park look so worn down. Trash was all over the place. some of the buildings and structures look like they will fall apart any moment, not any day, but any moment now… I actually thought that the park was the piece of property that was up for sale on this street! My BF had to say No FOOL. It’s that beat up piece of property for sale over THERE, Not this piece of ‘ish! So we were in and out of there in less than 10 minutes and then a Douglas County Parks Security Guard pulled up looking at us like WTF are y’all doing in the park? I looked back like Psst. Please. My being here could ONLY beautify this place okay! LOL. I’ve seen better looking parks in some of the Trailer Homes that my BFF manages! I will post a few pics later. Oh wait. I should say that although it looks a mess. The park is still apparently up and running and serving the community. I am pretty sure that the lady I saw about to break her damn neck out of the window is probably the person that called Security to alert them that me and my Boo were headed to the park in a big black SUV with tinted windows. So the resident in the area apparently still care for the park… What back to the subject at hand… There were signs out for some type of Camp. Maybe for Cheerleaders at this park. God knows this place could use a PICKMEUP. Give me and A. A!!! Unilocal won’t all me to list the COORDINATES to the park for you GPS properly but here they are without the superscript O…3344′ 0.7728 N, 8439′ 39.5568 W
