I purchased my wife’s wedding band last year and this June she noticed there was a crack on the side. So we took it to the location in Stonecrest mall on June 17th and were assured that the ring would be ready by June 29th and that someone would call us once the ring was available. In an effort to be proactive, I contacted the location the day prior to be sure that the ring would in fact be ready by the 29th as we were originally told. The woman I spoke to was named Evelyn(whom I later found out is the store manager) Evelyn stated that the ring was not ready just yet but would definitely be dropped off on the next day and assured me that we would receive a call once it was there. Well, the 29th came and went and we were not contacted. Time passed and someone by the name of Kim called me from the Stonecrest location and stated that she«caught wind of what went wrong with my order and said that she was going to handle it and was sending it to the right location and that there would be a $ 49 fee for us to get a new ring) Kim stated that she was going to see what she could do about getting the fee waived since it was their error and would get back to me. As my wife and I were shopping at the Dawsonville outlet mall on July 6th so we went to the Kay jewelers there to get some items cleaned; the store manager was working and remembered me because we have made several purchases there so he asked how things have been. I explained to him the situation and he apologized for the mishap stating that the Stonecrest mall handled it incorrectly then explained to us how the process should have went. July 17th, I spoke with the DM(Ann Green) and she was helpful stating that she tried searching the local stores for the size my wife needed for her ring and unfortunately one was not found. Ann assured me that Lakenya(the Assistant Manager at the Stonecrest mall location) would be calling me the following Wed with an update on the order and that a rush would be put on it. Lakenya did in fact call but told me that«per the jeweler, she did not have an update» and had made Evelyn(the store manager of the Stonecrest mall location) aware of my issue since Lakenya had just received a promotion and would be going to the Webb Ginn Rd location the next week. Lakenya also assured me that we would be hearing from Evelyn by that Friday and of course that day came and went and still no communication from anyone at the Stonecrest location. It is now 6 weeks since the day we dropped my wife’s ring off and we have not heard any communication from the DM or GM in regards to why this long delay has occurred.(each time we learned anything in regards to the ring was when we reached out ourselves to the location)
