FIY– this restaurant caught the attention of INTERNATIONAL news because the freezer and fridge were full of deer heads and brains on the restaurant’s premises, During a follow-up visit a day later, inspectors discarded a pig organ that the owner’s wife claimed was going to be used for her lunch. In June, New China House was ruled out of compliance because the owner«does not have adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility,» according to the report. Please be warned-and find another place for a meal– good job for the inspecters for follow ups.

PA Game Commission confiscated the following from facility walk-in cooler and freezer after operator was unable to provide documentation that game animal meats being used in the facility were from an approved source: deer brains, deer heads, skinned and whole tails, legs, muscle meat, spines, necks and other unidentifiable parts both raw and cooked. Amount of parts removed included: four trash bags, two boxes, three plastic tubs, one 5-gallon bucket and nine trash bags of prepared foods. In addition, sampling of prepared food found in walk-ins were taken to be tested for species identification. Operator observed touching cooked noodles and egg rolls with bare hand.

although the«meat» is certified fresh by the Penn Dept of Transportation as road killed that morning, it’s still a little unsettling picking the asphalt out of the soup. If you want to come back the next day you can get a decent pair of gloves cheap, not made in China. Pay no attention to the tire tracks on the palms.

When I walked in, I automatically thought, «This place is legit.» This is a bit tongue-in-cheek because the décor is pretty stereotypical, but I did like the food. My friends weren’t so keen on the food they ordered. I really liked the fried rice that I got. I think that this place is great for those nights when you have a craving for Chinese food. It wasn’t too long of a wait, considering the guy was the only one working that night. He was really friendly. And that’s the reason I give this a better-than-average score. Service was good, and so was the food. Décor wasn’t too much of an eyesore, especially since I was getting takeout.

Service was fine. I sampled a beef chow mein and the orange chicken. In both cases the flavor was ok but some of the meat was gristly.

I like it. Not the best ever but the best in Lititz. I like the spicy shrimp with egg roll. Good sauce but the 2 times I ordered a dish with chicken, the chicken was tough.
