We stop at this candy shop regularly on our way to go to an auction in Ephrata. I stock up on the decaf version of their house coffee which is wonderful. It has a very rich flavor to it with hints of chocolate. Since I can’t drink much coffee with caffeine, I love to find a coffee with lots of taste that is also sold as a decaf. It is my very favorite decaf coffee!
We’ve become fans of the candy that is sold there too so along with the coffee, we usually buy a small bag of the handmade candy that is sold there. We never drive away without eating some of the candy from the bag! They also sell chocolate covered bacon! Which is very good also.

There are a few Wertz Candies in the area, this one however, is not the one featured in «Dirty Jobs» it’s just a location that sells what is made a few miles away in Lebanon. Friendly people on a slow day that my wife and I visited on our way to Mount Gretna. We picked up some circus peanuts and candy sticks. Good prices on items and a wide selection of candy. Looks like the kinda place that gets busier during the tourist season. Most of the lights were turned off, and everything was very quiet in the store.
