I feel bad giving this place one star since it’s a family business but… no, not gonna lie to anyone. The first time I came here was 2 years ago when I first moved to Little Falls. Ordered the chicken and broccoli which I remember enjoying. The last 4 or 5 times however, I don’t know what they’ve been doing. Do they reuse the nasty old oil too much? My food smells like burnt plastic and rubber. Tasteless, flavorless, food… I don’t get it! I ordered Kung Po chicken, and I kid you not, over 50% of the dish was CELERY. CELERY! I wish I had saved the picture I took when I separated the celery from everything else. Come one dude, I paid for chicken. That was such an unfair, sneaky move to make the dish more full. Plus it was the worst Kung Po chicken we ever had. They have great spring rolls, but that’s not good enough to keep me going back. There are other places nearby. They should really figure out what that awful smell is.

I wouldn’t say this is the Ritz, but my husband and I have always enjoyed the classic dishes we order from here, like barbecued pork ribs, pork fried rice, and General Tso’s chicken. We usually get takeout and don’t eat in their dining room.

This is really an odd Chinese restaurant. When you walk in, the whole family occupies the tables where customers would be sitting with laptops, newspapers, children’s toys, etc everywhere. The few bottles of Kikkoman and Franks Hot Sauce on the tables were crusted and looked like they went through the Passaic a few times. Also, would appear they dont run the heat as it was cold and everyone was wearing sweatshirts. That said, the food generally comes served in real old fashioned 1QT and 1PT containers, awesome!(You actually get the correct amount of food, lots of those new containers I think are smaller for the portions.) They claim they dont use MSG however we will get there. They dont put in stuff you dont want into your bag — ie, corn syrup soy sauce, hydrogenated oil fortune cookies, etc. Instead, all of the condiments including plastic forks, knives, spoons are out for the taking. Now I had 2 entrées. Ordered both of them extra spicy as thats how I like it and for the most part they tailored. I think they just added extra white pepper instead of some more asian peppers(it could have been hotter for sure.) The Hunan Pork had an interesting assortment of veggies: squash, brocolli, cauliflower. It was refreshing. However, the pork was of poor quality and not roasted pork loin as is normally the case with such dishes. The Kung Pao chicken had a good amount of meat with the usual celery and carrots as filler. The meat also was of poor quality and I kept picking out pieces of fat and gristle to throw away in the garbage. What really pissed me off and prompted this review was that the peanuts were the spicy peanuts you would get prepackaged from CVS — those flavorings have MSG!?! WTF!?! Why not just use regular peanuts and put more real peppers into the dish. The last note is that there was no option for brown rice, all of the rice is white rice. The reheatability factor for both dishes was above average but not the best. I did eat all of it as I needed the calories for hiking. Finally, 2 quarts of food will set you back about 16 – 17 $. I really hoped to like this place as its the closest to my apartment. Unfortunately, its missing the quality factor bigtime. There is a new place opening even close to where I live, so hope that place is better.
