hoping this place improves there service… great food, great ambiance, prices are reasonable… but would skip it if you are in a rush, are not interested in repeating urslelf three times for everything, dont mind having a drink spilled onyou or waiting an hour for your food to come, and it doesnt make you uncomfortable to hear staff yelld at… i very rarely knock a place but this was a special night… service needs improvement.

Mizu was my go to sushi place. Mainly because it was cheap and super close to home. Unfortunately Mizu closed recently. I went yesterday only to find out it is now under new management and now called Sushi Village.

My husband I love this place. They have great selection of Saki and we really like the food too. We are a bit of Sushi snobs. We always went to the Sushi Lounge before we found Mizu so we think their pricing is just about on point. They will make you want you want if you don’t see it on the menu and the food is always fresh. They have inventive new rolls on the Special menu and the Staff is ey polite. The Atmosphere is niceand if you go with a party over 6 people the have two private areas were you can sit and eat. If you like good sushi, this is nice casual place to go.

We first went here right after they reopened and we got a 50% off coupon in the mail. That first time, we really really enjoyed ourselves. After that we went back a few times, but found we had really wore out the selection of food we actually liked, and the full price wasnt really worth what you got. Expect to pay about 8 – 10 per ap, 20 – 30 per entrée, 10 per drink. Sushi is above the local average, and debatable if it is of superior quality. On our first trip there, we shared the grilled squid and One Tree Hill roll. I had the plum duck and he had the sea bass. We were both blown away with everything. It was just so good. We also had lychee martinis, which we loved. The décor we thought was great, with 3 walls that change colors from red to magenta, blue to aqua, green to yellow to orange and back to red. Excited to return, on our next trip we tried Pama martinis which were very dissapointing. They tasted like sweet tart candies. He had the«Mizu Sushi & Sashimi Omakase» and I had the five spice lamb. He said the sushi was good, but felt he could have gotten just as good a meal, with more substance, elsewhere for the same price. I really did not like the lamb. As aps we split the Jersey Devil and the Three Musketeers roll. Neither wowed us. Moreover, while the flavors were ok, the price was too high for rolls that really didn’t have much fish in them. Also, sometime between trips the back wall glass had gotten shattered, and they had tried to cover it with some wrinkled burlap in what, I assume, they thought was an artsy manner. We surmised that this was temporary till they could repair the wall, but it remained like that every time we were back. It really spoiled the sleek, modern feel of the place. Since then we have been back and tried other things, but ultimately decided there were only 2 entrees, 1 ap, and 1 sushi roll we really liked, and that level of repetition, coupled with higher than average prices have kept us from returning.

This is one of my favorite places to go! I don’t really get some of the poor reviews. The inside is a little silly and over the top, but at the same time it has this nice vibe almost like a fancy restaurant in the city. It’s a great place if you want to go out for a nicer dinner and stay close to home. I dont think it’s overpriced. It’s sushi. It’s always expensive, but mizu’s prices seem to be in line with most sushi spots in the area. And I will say this — the food to me is spectacular. Best sushi I have ver had. So fresh and so tasty! The Angry Dragon Roll is an awesome fancy roll. But even just something as simple as a piece of salmon sushi is so good I wouldn’t need the fancy rolls! And for an appetizer the spicy edamame is where it’s at! And now you can go online and order directly online for delivery or pickup — so convenient! I love this place and will continue to go there! Give it a try!
