The ultimate dive bar. Surprising great food during the day & the bartenders are always pretty. They have power hour from 9−10pm and offer buckets, $ 14 for 4 beers and 1 shot. Food specials all through the week.

Been coming here for years now and the place is hard to hate. Pool table, dart board, jukebox, and a vertical golf game. The food is AMAZING.(And I know what you’re thinking –how good could the food at a dive bar be? Well, it’s fantastic.) The day crowd and the night crowd are totally different. Comin in for lunch and a beer at 2pm leaves you surrounded by salt-of-the-Earth workers on their breaks or older retired people with interesting life stories. They treat you like family. Night crowd can get rowdy but that’s not the bar’s fault, I’ve seen bartenders and owners kick out people if they even attempt to cross the line.

I am no stranger to New Jersey dive bars and I understand what they’re supposed to be and the inherent expectations when it comes to the crowd. Crossroads is a pretty typical NJ dive bar with people partying in the bathroom and getting blasted in this dark cave, however it seems to pull some some characters that are above and above and beyond in the ‘acceptable-risk’ category. Like I said before, I am no stranger to the NJ Dive scene and I have no problems meeting sketchy new people to drink with, play some billiards with and potentially get into a fight with over total nonsense; It comes with the territory… When it comes to Crossroads the ante is upped; some legitimate skinhead looking characters with tattoos all over their shaved heads frequent this place as it gets later and are more likely to stab you then to throw punches. It’s not that I have had any actual problems with their clients in the past but I think I will be proactive this time and just go somewhere else and avoid the shanking. Both times I was there recently someone was kicked out for violence of some sort or for talking smack with the bouncer. It just has a powder-keg negative type of energy to it. Unless you are headed out in rough-dive-experienced-group(male or female), know locals at the bar, or rolling solo like Ryu I would go somewhere else… Definitely not a place to go as a couple, lol.

This is one of the biggest dive bars I’ve ever been too. I like dive bars but the problem here is the clientele. The people here cant have a good time without a pick me up which is a shame because they have good specials and decent food for a dive bar. Also if you’re not a regular, get ready to be stared down.

Know where you are going and what you are in for and you will love it. Food is prepared with care and service is friendly and attentive(on most nights) Kristen and Emily are really a asset to the area and those of us who pull up a stool in the area

Roads! Those looking for a club-ish, lounge-y bar, you’re in the wrong place. Dive bar anyone? I usually go here with coworkers for lunch or after work«meetings». There really isn’t much to say about this place, other than it’s a dive bar, with a lot of regulars who are over 30(probably over 40, but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt). The regulars here are very friendly and easy to talk to, unlike some of the more«hip, young» place people. Frankly, they just have better stories and aren’t angry at you for being your age. It’s a nice change of pace from the bars/clubs/lounges where YOUHAVETOTALKLIKETHIS! and your friend goes WHAAAT? I KNOW, RIGHT?! The staff is very friendly as well and the food is surprisingly good. Only thing is, it’s a small bar and very hard to sit anywhere else but the bar. That’s where all the action is. Besides that, great place to stop by if you want to wind down and just relax.

The place is great! It’s your local pub with a down home feel. There is no drama and you don’t have to worry about keeping up with appearances. You can just hang out and grab some drinks with your friends. I love that there is a pool table(you don’t see those in bars too much anymore) and there’s also a dart board and mega touch machine! On the weekends they usually have a DJ playing a great mix of music from The Doors to Rhianna which is awesome! On Sundays it’s all about the football! They also serve up some really great food! It should be on an episode of «Diners, DriveIns & Dives» it’s THAT good. Plus there’s usually a special, such as, all you can eat Prime Rib! I really love this place. It’s refreshing to go out to bar and not have to worry about screaming over some club music or getting a drink spilled on you while you stand in an overly crowed dance floor. Here it is all about the social environment and fun! Ladies are treated like royalty and the guys love to buy them drinks… which is always a plus. There is just a great mix of people and music and last but not least… it’s been refurbished! They put in new flat screens to watch the games and UFC fights and created a wonderful new décor! LOVEITHERE!!!

A former friend of mine and I went to this place a couple of times and believe me you aren’t missing anything. The quality of woman that frequents this place is not very high. Let’s just say that there are more than a few women here that sniff there noses for reasons other then having a cold if you catch my drift. This place is not frequented by people that you would consider marriage material LOL. Don’t go here. It’s just not a place you would feel comfortable in. It has a bad vibe to be honest with you. However, it does gets 2 stars because the jukebox is great, they have a dart board and the bartenders are nice. If they had better patrons, it would be decent

Kick ass bar! The bar itself is your typical bar with pool table and dart boards but that adds to the appeal. However, there menu is excellent. Don’t expect just bar food. They serve up steak, chicken sandwiches, shrimp etc., in the afternon via a short order cook and even have an all-you-can-eat Thursday until the steak or the shrimp lasts, that is. The jukebox is updated frequently and has a wide variety of genres. There’s also a Golden Tee/Lawn Dart video game in the corner along with your mandatory Megatouch machine. It’s hard to get bored. As for the bartenders, beautiful yet knowledgable.
