Their shaved ice here is amaaazing. Came here with a friend on a weekday night and tried their mango bingsoo. So delicious!

The affogato here is amazing and beautifully presented. It’s the combination of vanilla ice cream and quality espresso that make it yummy. A pirouline, as a garnish, adds to the visual appeal, but not to the affogato itself. Enjoy the pure espresso melting into the vanilla ice cream:) Perfect post-meal dessert.

I found this sound treasure months back and I continue to come here! Everything from the food, jazz playing through the speakers, the artistic motif or just the regulars enjoying a good hearty meal! Something about this place just screams: «serenity». Never a let down with the food or customer service. Noise level is very minimum and enough to have a decent conversation and/or get work done. The food is absolutely sublime! I’ve tasted almost everything but my favorite is the eggs Benedict and smoked salmon! Yummy to the very last drop. Doesn’t hurt that after a full meal, you have a fruit cup to really boost your immune and completely a healthy meal! This will always be my go to spot! Thanks a million!

More like a 3.5 rating. Stopped by here on a Sunday with my family. You order at the counter(you can find menus in front of the register) and sit wherever you like. I ordered the nutella & walnut ebelskivers($ 8), chicken melt with tomato soup($ 11.50), green tea latte and a cold brew. Total came to $ 30~ or so. There are seven ebelskivers to an order so it’s more than enough to share between two people. Kind of thought they tasted like it was made with whole wheat flour but I could be wrong, maybe be b/c it was a tad dry. In any case, they tasted good and definitely worth to try once. The chicken melt was pretty standard and the tomato soup didn’t taste homemade. but they were fine nonetheless. Nothing outstanding but it filled me up since I was hungry. Overall decent experience, would return to try the other brunch items.

Love this café on Northern Blvd. I have been there multiple times and they have a solid drink menu. I usually have their coffee but the matcha latte is delish and had the smoothie today for the first time– banging! Have not tried their brunch but the have a good spread of different deserts. The wifi is good, and many seats/areas to study. It also has a nice backyard area. Available parking in the back which is a must in this area.

Strong coffee, great food, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, easy parking. What else can I ask for in a café? It’s a trek for me but having a car, it’s easier than going to the city or Brooklyn. I can’t rave about this place enough. Usually you have to give up something at a café — quality of coffee or food, lack of seating, terrible atmosphere, no Wi-Fi on the weekend(hello Café de Cupping), lack of outlets? But this place has it all. Their egg salad and salmon sandwiches are amazing and easily my favorites off their menu. The servings are enough for a substantial lunch. I love this place and it’s now my go to place to sit down mid-weekend to work on my laptop. The place is always packed but somehow we always find seats. Definitely on my list of favorite cafes in NY(thanks Tony T.!)

I came here yesterday with my brunch buddy Anna H. I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon… not my favorite. The whole wheat waffle under it was delicious. I realized im not a fan of smoked salmon. Next time im getting the green eggs benedict. My friend Anna H ordered the eggs bendict with canadian bacon. She loved hers. We both ordered a berry smoothie which was refreshing and hit the spot. Def coming back here again

My food crime partner Andrea G is the Queen of Eggs Benedict =) so we decided to come here for a late brunch. Good thing I called ahead to see if they were still serving eggs benedict and the guy mentioned that its available any time of every day woooooo hooooo SCORE! Very cute décor especially the front entrance with the white wood and strings of lights feels heavenly. I ordered the Eggs Benedict + Canadian Bacon as my friend was debating between the Eggs Benedict + Smoked Salmon or Green Eggs Benedict so she ended up picking the Smoked Salmon choice because she wanted the waffle. We both got a Fresh Berry Smoothie. Note: you must order and pay first at the register then the staff members brings out your food to your table! We decided to sit outside where there’s some delicious vitamin d shining on us. The smoothie definitely delicious. When our food finally comes to our table, awww the cutest display of our food on these metal trays feels like we are at a bed and breakfast inn lol… I know corny hehe =) I love that I get a taste of both savory and sweet flavors out of my eggs benedict as the yoke overflows the whole wheat waffle smothered in maple syrup *hubba hubba* mama like and definitely will be our go-to brunch spot like Parkway Diner =P Definitely come by and give your taste buds a try: wink:

Pleasantly surprised at how cozy this spot is. I came here spontaneously after my grad school– all by myself since I had no patience to wait for anyone else. The inside is cute– woody. it was definitely clean and that’s so important to me. There’s a good amount of seating, mostly taken though. I started with a mocha latte, the cup was huge which is worth it’s money. I made my sandwich– a grilled chicken with white cheese and avocado on toasted bread. it was delicious! the type of meal that doesn’t weigh you down when you’re done eating it. I also got a tomato soup since it came with the meal. let me tell you– I’ve never had tomato soup before and this spot convinced I’ve been missing out! Overall, I am coming back !

Came here last night for dessert and a latte. It’s basically a cute coffee shop with free wifi which everyone loves of course. I saw some people doing work there but don’t think I would because it is pretty loud and they have the music turned up too. I ordered a green tea latte and a lava cake($ 11.98) and my friend ordered a caramel latte and a crème brûlée cheesecake($ 10). For me, green tea flavored things is always a hit or miss and in this case, it was a miss. I wouldn’t get it again. My friend’s caramel latte was good, though. The crème brûlée cheesecake was delicious and perfect. I would definitely get it again. The molten lava cake was good but I have had better lava cake before. Regardless, it was what I expected but with an addition of pretzels on the side. This is a good place to grab a latte and just have a conversation. I would go again. *I only give 5 stars to places that are very exceptional and with food that blows me away, which was not exactly the case here, hence the 4 stars.

I went to Café 1 of a Kind for the first time today, and it fits my picture of an idea café. Free wi-fi. Friendly staff workers. Warm lighting. Latte art. A subtle European vibe. This spot has all of the above and has a really artistic vibe, which shows through its round tables, which are shaped like gears or clocks and the latte art that the baristas included with my green tea latte, which I thought was great: not too sweet and tasty, with just the right amount of foam. I appreciated that this spot was never packed during the 5+ hours I was there doing work, perhaps because it was a Monday afternoon and evening. I’d imagine this café being more packed on the weekends. Since it wasn’t, I was able to concentrate on my projects, which I appreciated. The calming music was also on point: Come Away With Me by Norah Jones, Blackbird by Brad Mehidau, At Last by Etta James. Those tunes fit the relaxing, earthy vibe of this coffeehouse rather well. I want to come back to Café 1 of a Kind to experience it in a different way by chatting with friends or reading a book here.

Came here for dessert after lunch at Little Dumpling and let me start off by saying that this café is by no means one of a kind since it looks similar to the 50 other Korean cafes on Northern lol. This isn’t a bad thing though because I tend to enjoy my time at these cafes and that was the case at this one too. Décor is typical and service is nice. They actually bring the desserts to your table instead of making you get up and go get it at the counter; perfect for sloths like me lol jk… Molten lava cake– Presentation is amazing and taste is even better! From looking at pics of it on Unilocal,I had imagined it to be super sweet but it actually wasn’t that bad. Honestly, it more closely resembles devil’s food cake than lava cake but I’m not gonna complain since I prefer it to be less sweet anyways. Ice cream on top balanced out the sweetness very well. The crumbled pretzels added a delicious saltiness to the dessert that worked perfectly! Ebelskivers– I got these because they were specially designed by the owners of this place but I only found them to be meh. They were kind of dry and flavorless but I think it’s because they didn’t add enough of the Nutella inside the ebelskiver. They’re also a little pricy too($ 9 for 7 pieces). Probably wouldn’t get them again. I think this is another good option if you’re looking for a good Korean café to catch up with a friend over coffee and desserts. The lava cake was delicious but I will definitely pass on the ebelskivers if I decide to come back. Looking forward to trying the sandwiches and coffees here as well!

Whenever i visit my mother in queens, I resign myself that i won’t have a latte for the wknd because of the lack of nearby choices(unless you count starbucks, but i don’t). The lattes here are really good, and not just because it’s in a desert. Service is aloof but that’s ok. I don’t want to talk to you until i’ve had my caffeine anyway.

Love love this place! Came here a couple times to study and get work done with friends and it never disappoints! Most people come here for the drinks and coffee but little do they know that the food here is really good too! I got the Green Eggs Benedict which has eggs benedict on a hashbrown with avocado, veggies, and grape tomatoes. It was delicious. I absolutely love hashbrowns so I might be a tad bit biased, hehe. Eggs were perfectly made and the avocado was very refreshing. I also ordered the cappuccino and that was great too. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the waitress brought my order to my table for me! Also a very important thing for me at cafes that I like to get work done is the playlist. The music was so on point. Once I was there, they were playing oldies music and the other time, they played music from bands such as Never Shout Never, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Yellowcard which my friends and I absolutely loved. Free WiFi too!!! Would definitely make this place a go-to for study sessions or just to hang out for brunch and talk with friends!

You need to know what to order here — wife got the grilled cheese with chicken noodle soup and the pretzel bread substitution was an extra dollar even tho it was literally the size and shape of a hotdog bun(granted we WERE told beforehand but didn’t realize how small it really would be). Worst part was the soup was definitely from a can, the cubed chicken and bright yellow color was a dead giveaway. Good part — the apple filled ebleskiver were really good and good size. They give you 7 pieces but unfortunately you can only pick one flavor for all 7 vs half of one filling and half the other(which we didn’t really get cause we were able to sub the pretzel roll for the disappointing cheese sandwich so why not this?). If there were half stars this would get 3.5 but with the canned soup can’t warrant a 4

Very friendly cashier/server. We ordered food at the registrar and she brought the foods over to our table when she didn’t have other customers to take care of. Excellent deco all over the café and cute seating areas. Plus very healthy choice food selections. Americano was beyond good and the green eggs benedict was«fun» to eat. Yummmm. Only suggestion that I would have is to add some hot foods on the breakfast menu.

I love coming here. The atmosphere is cozy with wooden benches and comfortable padding. The walls are decorated with small coffee grinders. The baristas do a great job with the coffee drinks. There’s a parking lot in the back and outdoor seating with string lights across the back in the summer time. How romantic. It’s a great alternative to other coffee shops in the area… aka…starbucks…

Rapidly becoming one of my favorite places to go after work for that post-work decompression. The place is incredibly packed on weekends but not so much that you can’t squeeze out a seat in the midst of it. Not the perfect environment to get work done but it’s certainly lively. On weekday evenings the place is quiet and perfect for gulping down chapters of a book alongside the coffee. The deserts are my one true love; each one makes my steadily more determined to work through their entire selection. The coffee here is strong enough to grow legs and tap dance out the door. Definitely the post work pick-me-up I need. And lastly, you can never go wrong with the famed ebelskivers — nutella and walnuts, mmm: d.

My friend and I came here to try it cause the good pictures looked really good and we were very happy! I ordered the green eggs Benedict and I left wishing I had room for seconds! I loved the way they served the poached eggs over a hash brown with all of that over a bed of spinach, tomatoes, and balsamic vinegarette! I felt healthy eating it and left very satisfied. I also had a hot green tea latte which really hit the spot on that cold day. Will definitely be coming back!

I’m not sure the café can fully live up to its name but Café 1 of a kind, quickly became one of my favorite cafes. The café presents a vintage environment with the wooden tables, the slightly dimmed lights, and the workers rocking a fedora, which several Korean cafes emulate. The café offers a comfortable work environment and the music they play is not loud but loud enough to drown out the other customer’s conversations. I also enjoy the spacious atmosphere. Though the café is not that big, I never seen this place overly populated. And most of the people come to do work anyways. The coffee is probably the best thing about the café. I ordered the overpriced latte out of courtesy to stay and the wifi password but it was probably one of the best I’ve had from a café. Then I saw a sign that states they serve STUMPTOWN. Stumptown is the best. You also probably need to drink the coffee using both hands due to the size of the cup and cup ring which fits no more than one finger.

Brunch/café in great neck new york! I usually just go there for drinks and had no idea they had brunch menu. I ordered eggs benedict with bacon which comes with a bowl of fresh fruits(my fave)! It was better than i expected honestly. The combination of salty bacon and sweet waffle was great. On top of that, eggs were cooked perfect. It’s not a typical boozy brunch spot in new york but this place has good food and good music. If you are in the area try it!

This is place is just okay. I think service wise it could improve. The day I went there was literally no one there so I sat at the larger table to get work done. I had ordered a coffee and just sat down to do get my work done. I pulled out a small container of kimbap but before I could even open it this woman who worked there stormed out from behind the counter as if she was going to beat me up and said«No outside food!» and shook her head as she walked away. I was courteous and placed it away. I wasn’t aware of their policy and I understand if you don’t allow outside food but please just tell your customers kindly. It totally ruined the vibe and I won’t be visiting anytime soon. Please put the kind back into your«one of a kind» café. Their cofee is ight but it’s just Stumptown. Im not gonna lie this place is cute but I can getter better service else where without feeling judged.

Great café, friendly staff! The place is always decorated so nicely! It’s an okay place for studying but the music can get pretty loud sometimes. They have great selection of food and desserts! As for their drinks, I’d recommend any of the lattes. I think their cold drinks are better than their hot ones.

Ambiance: it’s so cute in this place! Great place to study(i spent many hours studying here) for s date or just to meet up with friends. There’s also a small parking lot in the back. Service: great! They bring your drinks and food orders out to you. They clean up all the time. Food and drink: OMG their food is DELICIOUS, get the spicy pork wrap then the bulgolgi wrap ten the grilled cheese sandwich with a soup get it all! You won’t regret it! The portions are pretty generous too so bring a friend to share. As for for drinks they are pretty good too, personal favorites would be the green tea latte and cappuccino! They also do really cute latte art All in all check this place out! You’ll fall In Love with it!

Great spot for a coffee and light fare lunch! I was drawn in to the amazing latte art and although I did not get Winne the Pooh on my latte, I enjoyed my time at the café. My green tea latte was rich with matcha and the smoked salmon egg salad sammie was delicious! I loved how neatly it was plated. It came with a slivers of veggies and some pretzels. Tried my date’s tomato soup-it was creamy as heck. We only really eyed the menu after we ordered and I have a feeling we will be back to get the spicy pork wrap!

Cute café, cute interior. We came here for brunch and it was decent, nothing spectacular though. I got the eggs benedict with ham and my dad got the smoked salmon. They serve it on a belgian waffle here and it’s a bit weird. I think it changes the taste of an eggs benedict and not really in the best way. If they chose a different carb option I think it would’ve been a pretty good eggs benedict. The poached egg was perfect and the sauce was tasty and the consistency wasn’t too thick and chunky. My mom ordered the beignets which she said were pretty good. Overall, decent. Cute spot to get a cup of coffee to study or chat with friends.

Café 1 of a Kind has a hip and cute vibe, with a rustic interior. I’ve tried the ebelskiver, espresso/americano, and green tea latte so far. I hope to try more as I use this as a regular work spot. The Nutella and walnut filled ebelskiver was not bad! Not too sweet and not bland. For those who don’t know, they’re mini pancake balls filled with different sweets. Café 1 of a Kind has one more option that is a mix of berries and apple sauce(I think from the top of my head). However, I wasn’t too sure about the price. The dish certainly is good for more than one person. But for a dessert dish, the price is equivalent to that of a meal. The food is not cheap for a café. The drinks are not bad but in my experience not consistent. It highly depends on the barista. The first time, my hot latte was lukewarm, which made my taste buds rather confused. Same went with the espresso my friend ordered. Looking at the photos I expected some pretty latte art. It was honestly disappointing. The latte’s most basic leaf barely resembled one. The green tea latte I ordered later only had a plain white circle. My review stays 4 stars because the taste wasn’t too bad, though not perfect because there was a slight granulated texture of the matcha powder. When I ordered an Americano the next week, the temperature was much better. However, the latte later was again lukewarm. I stay here because the coffee is acceptable, and better than other walking-distanced places in this neighborhood. There are plugs and free wifi so good for me to work. Not always crowded either so I can concentrate.

Café 1 of a Kind is the only good café in the entire Little Neck area. I visit here frequently and I can say that most of their menu items taste great. They have stumptown cold brew on tap as well as in bottles. The Ebelskivers are a must try pastries. Their wraps are huge and filled with veggies and flavor. Solid eggs benedict. The drinks are mostly good. I say mostly because sometimes when you ask for a smoothie they give you the regular sized cup… It’s supposed to be in the larger sized one but one of the workers there haven’t been trained well I guess. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a small parking area in the back. Overall, a very good café that I have become a regular of.

Came here yesterday and order a green tea latte. I thoroughly enjoyed this the most. Had a smoked salmon eggs benedict. If i can rate this seperately I would give it one star. The hollandaise sauce tasted sour. The salmon was not smoked and it seemed not be fresh. I originally ordered a crème brule cheesecake. Sounded like an awesome combination. Unfortunately they did not have anymore. Therefore I ended up getting a molten lava cake instead. It was yummy. So my tip is to go for the desserts instead of the food entrees I do have to complain about the temperature in the store. It was super hot and uncomfortable. It was 90 degrees with horrid humidity. And it seem like there Ac was not on.

This café is truly one-of-a-kind(harhar). But seriously, if I could dream up a perfect café, this would be it(except the location, which is quite out of the way for most people without a car). I’d come here way more often if it was more accessible to me, but nevertheless this is one of my favorite cafes in NY. I’ve been here twice now, once to study when I ordered the green tea latte and another time to grab green tea bingsoo, or shaved ice with a friend. They make really cute lattes art with bears, and the bingsoo is very refreshing with a lot of good quality matcha powder, red beans, mochi, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The café itself is classy, modern and well-decorated with the servers always very friendly and accommodating. They also use Stumptown coffee which is a huge plus for you coffee lovers! Tip: There is a small parking lot in the rear, and a cute outdoor patio!
