Messiest toys r us ever! This toys r us was horrific my lord. All the isles I walked down with my little one had toys just thrown all over it looked like a war zone in their. The only thing I liked about this store was their friendly employees I asked this one employee named carol where a specific toy was and it was on the other end of the store and she actually took us to the isle it was on and made sure we found everything we were looking for. Carol and her coworkers gave this store the three stars. However the two missing stars is because of how messy this place was :(

I feel bad for Toys R Us. They are obsolete, they don’t know it, and they don’t have to be. In the world of online toy shopping, they have the advantage of being able to have a great selection, that kids can actually see and get their hands on, and give great customer service, but unfortunately, that is not the case, especially at this location.
I have shopped at this location many times, and let’s just say, I hope you know what you want when you walk in, because it is very difficult to find an employee walking around the store to help you. It is almost comical. It’s like a whole store, with nobody in it!
Their selection is great, as we have become used to in a toy store like toys r us, but they need to bump up their customer service in a big way.

Really only 2.5. Stars are really only for the location. The store is small and sometimes really unorganized. During busy times, it’s really hard to get help. Some staff are friendlier than others. The manager, Joel, is super helpful and goes out of his way to help you. I try to order online and then pick it up at the store if possible.

My main complaint about this place is that while it’s well-​stocked and neat in appearance, they have way too many people putting away toys and no one at the cashiers. There has never been a time all registers or more than two are open. And they are in the far left of the store. I like that it price matches what I would otherwise get on Amazon. Only one manager was decently nice. The cashiers have been great too. Just that when you have a child, I need to buy quick or you lose my business because I gotta go. Kids have no patience and parents have no time. Employees stocking should know how to operate the cash registers. If not, do what Nordstrom Rack does and equip them with a handheld credit card swiper so a sale can be made!!! Really, I want Toys R us to survive just like I want B&N to survive but it’s really got to up its customer service to do that. Do it! It’ll help employees, the community and the company survive in this competitive toy environment!

While I’ve only been to this location a few times, but did literally GROW UP near this location, hence it being my primary Toys R Us store as a kid in the 80s and 90s, it did have positives that made it better than the locations around my suburban towns, now revisiting as an adult.
Initially, people would think that because this is in a city area and not a pretty suburban town, that you’ll encounter a messier place. Not so. Actually, this is perhaps the BEST Toys R Us store above all those I’ve been to in my suburban area now. The store is clean, the bathrooms were surprisingly well kept, and the staff (from who I encountered) were very nice. No issues there whatsoever. I’ve def been to messier stores around my area.
Another great plus that puts this one above the others — the stock. This is definitely the BEST stocked location I’ve been to. The Star Wars section alone was not only BIGGER than the other stores (especially with all this Episode VII hoopla going on right now), but also had toys that I had never seen at these other locations. It beat them all. The «adult toys» (and that’s not to imply anything sexual) collectibles sections was better stocked than other stores as well. Also bigger. They also had toys there that other Toys R Us locations have already stopped carrying. So it was great that even after a long time, some older collectibles were still available. Not only that, but after quickly browsing other sections, as in the toys for OLDER kids, there was great stock there too, AND stuff that was no longer in other locations, AND it was all kept very orderly and clean.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this location, as it really had just everything a step above other places, and it wasn’t what I expected given that it was in a more city area. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the staff DID seem a little light. There was a line to pay and only 2 cashiers as well as only 1 person at customer service. I also didn’t see a whole lot of employees around the store. This wouldn’t be ideal if it were a busy day. Still, all the staff seemed perfectly nice and fine. Would love to make this my regular Toys R Us store, unfortunately it’s way too far off from where I live now, AND there is nothing else in the town that I’d care to see. All the other places I’d visit regularly are on the other side of the island, making a long trip even longer, and gas these days is just too expensive. When I’m in the area I’ll def revisit.

its a big store well stocked lots and lots of everything even a small baby needs section.
Crystal could clearly see I was distressed in my search for a bike fully understanding I did not want a cheapy toddler bike I wanted a real bike and it had to be un assembled so I could get it on the plane
I learned something Toysrus sells their bikes already assembled because people dont put them together right and then blame the store …
BUT Crystal explains to the gentleman from the bike section
and he says let me give it a try
AND he comes to the register with a boxed 12″ bike YAY!!! and its GREEN

and Crystal is at the register friendly and helpful
clearly you can buy things cheaper on line but sometimes you need things NOW
and you need good customer service… who knew there are 7 different Monopolys and the guy working in the department knew the ins and outs of them
This Toysrus has really pulled for me of course I will be back

Terrible customer service and attitude. Seriously out of place when you’re talking about over paying for toys anyway. Amazon, here I come!

You’ve been there, they are all the same!
This one however, instead of two stars, I give an extra star for being somewhat of an institutional landmark, when we moved from the city to Douglaston in 1982, they have survived in this plaza and outlived their neighbor that started as a Korvettes, Sterns, now Macy’s. But they never have any selection of popular games in stock, and their lack of video game controllers either.
The past three times we went there for a certain item, they didn’t have it! Wasted our time, went to Gamestop where they have everything.
Over the past 3 decades, we have spent a small fortune in there as the rest of the area community. When lots of Toys R us’ have consolidated to a combo babies r us, they have stood strong.

They certainly need a better layout of the place as I felt things were thrown all over the place where their was space, but overall it wasn’t a bad experience. I needed something for my nephew’s 1 years old birthday and they picked out the perfect gift for me. Originally, I wanted the «Power Wheels Fisher-​Price Ride On — Disney Pixar Cars 2 — Lil Lightning McQueen» set for my nephew but they seemed to have discontinued this item in NY, but they found me the Disney Pixar Cars 2 4-​in-​1 Activity Racer that did the same job! I decided to get my niece a litter present too… Hello Kitty Piano set. Super cute! Hope the kiddies will enjoy them!
FYI: This Store is a huge ripoff on their prices. I checked their prices online and all the items at the store were definitely a lot more expensive. I called the store and they told me to come in with the receipt to get a price adjustment.

When it comes to rating a store like Toys R Us… you have to rate on two things: 1) appearance of the store and 2) appearance/​condition of stock.
1) The store is fairly clean. I was very surprised by this because I always remembered the store with dirty floors and shelves. There weren’t many marks on the floor and the shelves were, for the most part, tidy.
2) The condition of the stock leaves something to be desired. I saw larger items in boxes that were either smashed/​pushed in or with large cut through the cardboard exposing the item… which is nice if you want to see if the Fisher Price basketball hoop looks like the pic on the box… not nice if it’s the only one in the store. Same thing happened with a tricycle for a 3yr old as well… was able to examine most of the product because the box was ruined.

It’s a toy store, can’t really expect much. Although would be nice if they would clean up once in a while. I went looking for a gift a few months back, couldn’t find nor figure what section was what, place is disastrous.

This Toys R Us is really empty and no one is here to help you and always only 2 cashiers are there most of the time.

This place for lack of a more intelligent way to describe it, is stupid. I made the ignorant mistake of buying the last crib in stock. A crib that they had to summon a crew to get from the basement (after a 20 minute wait) and then even though I got a box that was visibly beaten I took it home to discover maybe ten out of fifty pieces actually in the box. After getting no help from customer service I was forced to lug the huge box back to the store. I don’t shop at toys r us anymore.

I bought toys from this location on a number of occasions where I needed last minute gifts and I have to tell you that ³⁄₅ times the toys have either been damaged or there was some sort of component missing. Forget about asking them to run your card to see that you made the purchase if you want to make an exchange without a receipt the way they do in other stores. PATHETIC!

You all know what’s gunna be in a Toys R Us… a lot of toys. A couple of things though. First of all the lines are long as hell, so if you’re just stopping in for one or two items you might get a little frustrated. Also though, the selection is real good and there are countless aisles with countless stuff. I think if you’re shopping for a present for a lil one, it’s worth making a little trek out to the big store. One thing though, offering me consumer’s insurance on a 14 dollar board game? Are ya kidding me???
