I brought in my favorite boots to be repaired. Other Shoe repairs have told me there was no possible way to fix my boots, as i had worn them to long. The friendly and knowledgeable staff assured me that they could repair my boots, and when I got them back they looked NEW!!! Glad to have my old favorites back in working order.

these people couldn’t be dumber. i brought in 2 belts to be shortened and a brand new shoe that had a flaw and just needed 1 inch of stitching and they botched all three in the following ways: 1. the two belts: i knew exactly the length i wanted, measured from the 3rd hole to the buckle end, 34.5 inches. i laid the two belts out and explained that i wanted the person to measure from the 3rd hole to buckle and she didn’t understand. after explaining about 3 times she kept shaking her head and stated they couldn’t do that as they don’t measure it that way. she insisted that i put the belt on and she’d measure how much slack should be taken out. she did this by pinching the leather and guessing it was about 2 inches on one and 4 inches on the other. it was extremely imprecise and i again said that i wanted the belts to be perfect and i bought two belts longer than needed so they could be shortened to an exact length. she just couldn’t get it. no matter how many times i said«just measure the length from the third hole.» so i pick the belts up today, one is 35.5 from the third hole and the other is 33.5 from the 3rd hole. on top of that they failed to plane the cut end of both belts so that its about twice as thick at the buckle than it was previously. unbelievably shoddy work for what were two brand new Johnston and Murphy belts. 2. the shoe: i have a brand new cap toe oxford that after i brought it home discovered it had a flaw. tried to exchange them but Dillards didn’t have any other in stock and it looked like an easy repair — about 1 in of restitching where some black thread had come undone. seriously, an obviously easy fix and let me emphasize that this is a brand new pair of 180 dollar shoes. black, dressy NOT casual. when i picked it up today they had placed it in a plastic bag and then put it inside another bag. i was rushed and when i got home i looked at the shoe and discovered they restitched it with WHITE thread. unbelievable. this is not a shoe that could be mistaken for a casual shoe, its ALLBLACK cap toe oxford. i’m sorry to be so harsh but these guys are unbelievably incompetent. DONOTTAKE A NICEITEMHERE. everything i brought in was new and obviously nice, every one came back worse or no better. belts cannot be fixed as there is now not enough room at the buckle end to make a new slot. TOTALIDIOTS.
