I was taken here by locals who swore it was amazing. So I expected nothing less than AMAZING. We started with cheese bread which were completely forgotten by our server, and when they came were just kind of meh. Then we waited well over an hour for our pies, which we got in a variety of styles, and were also just kind of meh. They were overcooked, and the flavors were just ok. These were chosen by people who come here regularly, and they were pretty embarrassed at both the bad/slow service and the quality of the food. I will have to take their word for it that it’s usually much better.

Although the pizza here is very good, no one at my office will dare go there for lunch as the wait for a pie is forever. I even ordered a pizza from there yesterday for delivery and I was quoted delivery in 45 minutes. Instead, my COLD pizza was delivered an hour and 15 minutes later. Will not order or go here for lunch again.

The original in Hillcrest is a landmark for me, but the Cantrell location has all the flavor as well! The staff is chill and the pizza is hot! Everything on the menu is good, but I prefer their pizza! The Hog Stuffy is worth hanging your Little Rock and Arkansas card on! If you want a good kick try the«pink sauce», because it’s awesome! You can’t go wrong with anything here! Yeah, this place is among my top favorites in The Rock. My son ate 3 pieces, which is going to be new measurement of goodness!

We hit this spot downtown during Arkansas Riverfest and it was, without a doubt, the best meal we had all weekend. The Margherita was the best I’ve ever had and my fiancé loved The Hog. Definitely get the hand-tossed crust… it’s fantastic!

I really enjoy Damgoode Pies. Ignore the crazy paintings on the walls and the awkward placement of the acoustic foam panels on ceiling(I can’t even look at them – not symmetrical and no rhyme or reason to their location)…ignore the dirty chalk wall entryway and just go eat pizza. I am not sure how long Damgoode Pies has been in business, but it has that old school hipster feel… with tattooed boys in capri pants and PBR. I love it all. There are lots of options on the menu – and be sure to have a sense of humor when you read the menu. It’s totally smartass, so in my mind, if a place has the balls to print a menu like that, they better back it up with good food. Like I said, lots of options here and I haven’t even started on the sauces. Any pizza is available with red, white, alfredo, pesto, or any blend of the above. Thick crust, thin crust, or a ‘stuffy’, which is two layers of toppings with another crust and sauce on top. This time around, I got a 6″ Hawaiian, which seems pretty plain Jane… but it’s delicious. My only critique is that they use a lot of pineapple, which makes for a wet crust. The Canadian bacon is fairly thick cut, but not obnoxiously so… gives a lot of flavor. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, and they are fantastic. A little bit of heat and a great filling. There is almost too much cheese, which I usually never say. Of course I shoveled a forkful of melted cheese in my mouth, and it immediately turned cold and chewy… like Play-Doh. Pretty weird and unappetizing. Great beer choices, good food, and a casual fun place – there were older church folks, young couples, and families with kids in baseball uniforms, so it’s a nice spot for anyone.

Every time I give this Damgoode a try, I always regret it. The price does not accurately reflect the quality you receive. Yes, the pizzas are better than your average chain pizza restaurants(i.e. Pizza Hut, dominos, etc) but Damgoode is certainly not $ 30/pizza good. They should consider reevaluating their product quality before they continue their expansion.

I can’t say anything bad about this place. Possibly the best pizza I have ever had. If you are in the area go to this location.

The topping selection is amazing. Once of the only places I know(if not the only place) with dill pickles as a topping.

Ordered pizza around 5:50pm, was told 45 minutes. It was nearly an hour and 15 minutes. Pizza was lukewarm, but good. Fred bread was excellent even lukewarm. Only received 1 of the 2 drinks we ordered. Driver was polite but didn’t say anything about being late or delivering the food at suboptimal temps. Maybe everything is better when you’re at the restaurant?

This is what a pizzaria should smell like, taste like, be like! The beer is cold, the staff is friendly, witty and wonderfully sarcastic. The kids are screaming, the adults are screaming. Don’t we all need a good, healthy scream every once in a while? Prudes stay home! Don’t need your«Debbie Downer» attitudes changing the great vibe of this one. Frenetic, manic, melodic, zesty, organic and always DAMNGOOD! Another beer, please!!!

This is the best pizza place in Little Rock! Several types of crust including a «stuffie» and several variety of sauce! The cheese bread is amazing and I haven’t tried a pizza I didn’t like! Fun atmosphere and $ 1pbrs! Lunch specials are usually a personal pizza drink and salad for less than $ 10.

The pizzas and salads are pretty good, but the problem is the glacial speed of service. Don’t go unless you have at least an hour and a half to spend here.

We tried this sit down location pizza place for the 1st time. We saw the pictures on Unilocal with the sauce on top. I eagerly wanted to try a Chicago style deep dish pizza. So we ordered the stuffy pizza with pink sauce(the pink sauce saved the pizza) as it turns out it is not a Chicago style it just looked like it. It was actually a thin crust pizza with toppings another thin crust top with sauce on top. The good: the pink sauce was awesome and kinda spicy we loved it. The bad: it was so thin it was kinda crispy and the toppings were barley in there The atmosphere was ok the establishment was a little ran down. It could use a paint job etc. but overall it was ok.

Spartan interior, too noisy, and with televisions too prominent.(I admit, this is a wholly personal peeve: unless you’re with people you don’t like, why would you want to watch television during your meal? but why would you ask people you don’t like to go to dinner with you in the first place? so why on earth should any restaurant except a sports bar have a television in it?) But the pizzas are flavorful and tossed just right – with three crust options, outstanding and unique topping combinations, and the best range of sauces I’ve seen anywhere(on a color-wheel-type chart, no less). Little Rock isn’t exactly a sought-after spot for the discriminating pizza palate(or for anything else that I can tell, for that matter, but that’s an entirely different issue), but – if you’re here already and you’re craving some crust and sauce – this is indeed a damgoode pizza pie. If you’re in a particularly cheesy mood and you don’t mind a bit of cayenne kick, the spicy five-cheese pizza on the stuffed crust perfectly balances pleasantly-stretchy and thickly-layered with not-overly-oily and very filling.

The name gave me a false inkling of things to come. My coworker order several for a meeting and I tried each different style and found one thing in common among them. Generic crust, barley there sauce and plenty of grease and it was pricey. There are better pizza places around town that give you value(and taste).

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and found tables right away. We had a pizza and some breadsticks. Both exceeded our expectations we had a very attentive server. He had a good chat about the awful Motel we chose to stay in but that’s Okay live and learn! We’ll be coming back on our next trip to AR!

After reading all the reviews about this place, I felt pretty good about eating here. Well everyone’s good isn’t always best. The staff was incredibly nice. The young lady said it would take about an hour for delivery. She was correct about the time… that was the best part of the meal. The pizza wasn’t very good at all! I would compare this pizza to Diminios or Little Cesar’s. The pizza was not worth 20 bucks! The crust was dry, the toppings weren’t very good at all. Also, it wasn’t very hot at all. I guess I’m just gonna have to try other places and Make my own descisions about what’s good and what’s not!!! I would however, like to again thank the staff for their very professional attitudes! Cordially, This ain’t even close to Chicago pizza

I think I’m one of the rare folks that actually prefers this location to the Hillcrest one. It’s more spacious, the service is quicker, and you don’t have to wait for 45 minutes, outside in the heat, to get a table. As far as the food goes, Damgoode lives up to it’s name(and that’s coming from a Northeasterner… we’re very picky about our pizza. Damgoode is not NY Style, by any means, but it’s positively delicious.) Also, try the Vidalia Onion Vinaigrette. I’ve been attempting to locate one that tastes as good for years now, to no avail.

The mister and I were at a loss on where to feed some friends who were roadtripping through town on their way to their Memorial Day festivities, but we figured Unilocal’d never steered us wrong, and decided to go here. We were not disappointed! Thanks Unilocalers! I’m not much of a beer drinker but my companions had a pretty good time with their offerings. Sadly we didn’t see the $ 1.75 champagne a previous Unilocaler mentioned. Overwhelmed by the sauce wheel? We definitely were, so we ordered the bread sampler to try to narrow it down. The pesto cream and pink sauces was pretty good, but the spicy white sauce is just dreamy. *sigh* Just give me a Tiger Beat pinup of that sauce, I’ll kiss it goodnight, every night. Having 4 people in our party, we went with 4 pies; A Hog(pink), an Underdog(pink), the B.S.T.(spicy Alfredo) and an Artie with spicy white, all on hand-tossed. I shouldn’t eat cheese, but these were totally all worth the cheese nightmares. I don’t even like olives, but they set off the Underdog so perfectly. And Spicy White x Artie is almost my OTP. ALMOST. Now that I have an idea of how their sauces are, I think I’ll build my own pizza next time. It’ll be downright obscene.

When you think of the dirty south, you think of southern country food and not pizza. But at Damgoode, it’s another story. Damgoode is damright for making Damgoode pies. first off, you can’t go to this pizza joint having the authentic Naples Italian pizza. You have to think of the typical American Chicago style pizza. Let’s start off with the Appetizers… The Razorback buns here puts the average normal garlic bread to shame with the added bacon, sharp cheddar, and jalapenos! I couldn’t resist eating more than half of the damn order! As for the pizza, I got the mine«Stuffy» style crust. It’s two layers of dough that with your selected ingredients in between each layer and topped red sauce at the top layer. You defiantly have to eat the pizza with a knife and fork. Otherwise it would be a big mess with the ingredients gushing out of the pizza!
