Very tasty and full of flavor. I’ll eat there again. And they offer delivery via chef shuttle!

Have not had really good Indian Food since I went to LA. Got take out last night and the fish curry with nun I got was really really good. I will definitely be back. Super good and spicy.

Great south Indian food with few good choices. Iddly and masala dosa is very tasty. Service of Divakar and chef Bhupathi is awesome and reasonable price too. I will have to try again when I am in town.

Had a delicious biriyani… one of the best ever had. The new buffet menu is so good than the previous.

This is the best place in town. I have tried other places but by far this is the best place. I tried their buffet and It was amazing. I also went there for dinner and ordered some non vegetarian dishes and that was delicious too. The most impressive thing about this place is the service, everyone is super friendly here and the owner is very nice too. Definitely worth a try! FLAVOROFINDIAROCKS!

I’m updating this review to reflect the very poor quality of their weekday lunch buffet. Their specialty is South Indian, yet they have pivoted to a very lackluster version or North Indian food. They served a very soupy version of paneer butter Masala and chicken tikka masala. Truly maybe three to four pieces of chicken in the whole serving tray. Very weak naan. No real char, no fluffiness. Just wholly disappointing. I had their Andhra chicken off the menu once and it was delicious and spicy, with huge chicken chunks. Their Andhra chicken on the buffet had zero spice, very few chicken pieces and no flavor. The only saving grace was that their tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly. Great crispy exterior with a really well spiced flavor. Overall It feels like they just throw very poor versions of their dishes on the buffet and charge $ 9 for it. I won’t be returning, and advise you to not go unless you go in the evenings.

First visit to this restaurant last week. First thing is the atmosphere is not very inviting. Very plain. I tried 2 tables and both were wobbly. 2 different people tried to take my order, but no one wiped down the table. Orderd Samosas and they were cold. Ordered Chicken Malasla for main course. The sauce was good but there was not much chicken and the texture of the chicken was not very good. Kind of rubbery. Also the nun bread was cold. Stick to the Taj or even better, Star of India… Food, service and atmosphere much better.

The south Indian food is spot on to my culinary experiences in India. The north Indian food is good, too, but this is what we expect of Indian food. The buffet is small, but well balanced and more than enough variety for lunch. The price is great for the quality both lunch and dinner. The only downside is the restaurant itself is on the small side — not good for parties of over 6 people.

I am re posting and replying to a comment that was made previously i was not able to post such a lengthy comment to the specific review. It is only fair I post so it is no confusion and everyone has an answer. I AM A WAITRESSATFLAVOROFINDIA. I have been with the restaurant before opening day. It has been an exciting two months with this new upcoming and authenticity different dining experience. You are(were) happily greated once walking in and welcomed to sit wherever you like. It is a personal goals of mine to try to bring a smile and good memorable food to our customers. Since our re-opening from previous«Curry In A Hurry» we have re– vamped and improved our restaurant more than once in this time frame putting the customers and customer experience at a top priority, always getting better. Honesty is a priority for a business to be successful, so that being so I shall elaboratefurther. I was asked to accept a nice tip personally, but we are paid a flat rate and tips are shared. I apologize for the confusion or frustration. I can not personally accept a tip in hand, it being a joint effort to cater to each customer. If I do i may only to add to the tip jar that is divided equally amongst our servers at the end of our pay period. We do take the order at table, bring food, keep drinks filled, as well as buss tables, and tipping is a common courtesy that is appreciated and accepted! We are treated very well by employers as well as customers both good and bad who still get our best food and service. I am new to Indian food myself but the food is amazing, our weekday and weekend buffet is something to come try it is an awesome sample of both North and South India cuisine, vegan/gluten free options, as well as a variety of cultural popular entrées and deserts. Everything is hand made, packaged and plated for the convenience of the customer to have the best experience. I have heard great reviews from many customers first hand, that being said not everyone’s opinion is the same. Thank you.

Having lived in major cities, I know good Indian food. Place is clean, service was great, food was excellent. Family owned. Not a chain. Kudos Little Rock!

We loved this place and will be going back for sure. This was my first time eating Indian food and I was impressed. I got the SAAG with chicken, my husband got Vindaloo with chicken, and my father got Masala with chicken. We also got the Garlic Naan(it’s a flat bread) and it was great. The only issue we had was when we ordered our drinks. My husband ordered tea(even pointed to iced tea on the menu) and they misunderstood and brought him Masala Chai which is apparently a hot Indian tea. My father and I both got our beverages and we couldn’t understand why my husband’s was taking so long. We asked our waiter 5 times for his tea. Finally they brought out hot tea and we realized what had happened. Of course, my husband drank it as if there was never a problem :) So just make sure you say iced tea!

Wow! The butter chicken was some of the best I have ever had. Grew up in DC and miss all the ethnic food, and this was very authentic! My only complaint is that the butter chicken was about 80% sauce and 20% chicken. While the sauce was delicious, it could have more chicken for sure. I did take out, so not sure if that made a difference. This has replaced Taj Majal when I need to get my Indian food fix.

Love love love this place! This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Arkansas and actually one of the best I’ve ever eaten at. The food here packs a punch — flavorful, spicy, intense. Even if you consider yourself able to handle super-spicy food, I recommend starting with a 3 here, just to calibrate before you move up the scale. If you haven’t had South Indian food before, you’re in for a treat! There’s a lot of variation within regions, but generally, South Indian food uses more rice and lentils, has spicier/less rich curries, has less of a focus on the tomato-onion-garlic-ginger combo, is more likely to use coconut or tamarind, and of course, has more seafood. They also have some tasty treats that you don’t find at most Indian restaurants in the States, some of which I mention below. Dosas are like giant crispy crepes with whatever filling you want. It’s probably not quite a whole meal, but supplement with an app or one of their street food offerings and you’ll have a great meal. I strongly recommend the Bhel Puri — it’s probably unlike anything you’ve ever had. It’s crispy puffed rice that is oh-so-flavorful, with just a tad of sweetness from the tamarind. From the price($ 5) I assumed it would be a small portion so I was delighted to get a giant plate of it. Though, since it doesn’t keep well, I felt morally obligated to eat ALL of it, despite having massively over ordered. The Corn Bhel(separate visit) was also delicious and probably healthier. You should also try the idli or the uttapam(if you love flavor, go uttapam). They’re pancakes(ish) made of fermented lentils and rice, so they’re mildly sour, which is something I enjoy but may not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you like sour, definitely try the Rasam soup, which is tamarind based. I also loved the Andhra chicken. The sauce was incredibly flavorful and the chicken(served on-bone) was tender and delicious. I ordered 4 stars which was legit spicy. I appreciate food that makes me sweat a bit and struggle to get restaurants to make dishes spicy enough. I often order 5-stars. I don’t recommend starting at 5 here! I can’t wait to come back for thali(many small dishes), which is only served at lunch. The setting is casual but the service is friendly and attentive. UPDATE: Your tips DO go to your waiter/waitress. I was concerned when I read a negative review alleging(as I read it) that management keeps tips for themselves, so the next time I was in, I quietly asked a waitress about it. At Flavor of India, the staff pool tips before dividing them up(not an uncommon practice at restaurants). She happened to be the waitress mentioned in the other review and seemed perfectly content with their tipping system and her job there.

Wow. Nothing else like this in Little Rock! All the traditional dishes and then a whole South Indian menu on top. Super tasty and the staff are the nicest, most cheerful people you’ve ever met.

EDIT: I went back and the chef(owner?) recognized me and solicited feedback. He’s super great and seems to always want to improve, so I’ll keep coming back for sure. —— This is the best Indian food in Little Rock. It could be improved, but I’d go back. I had the butter chicken, rice and plain naan. The butter chicken was good, but the chicken was inconsistent. Some was barely cooked, some was great and one piece looked and tasted suspiciously like a charcoal briquette. The rice was good, but I got more sauce in my butter chicken than the tiny side of rice could handle. I had to ask for another bowl. The naan was a letdown. It was dense, overcooked and dry. All that being said, with a little a work, this place could be great.

Just as an update, they’re getting better at the timing. Their thali fills most people up. Their menu is very generalized for the thali as not everyone who comes often would like to eat the same thing over and over everyday. They still give you a full course meal with mystery items. They’re still need to settle down a bit so I hope everyone is going to be as patient as me at this point. But let’s see what this little rock Indian restaurant has to offer!

I went here for just an evening Snack. To check out an Indian Restaurant in Little Rock as there are hardly any I ordered a plate of Pani Puri and Bhelpuri and both of them turned out to amazing. Specially the pani was very tasty and it was not sweet as regular one. The girls working there treated us very well. Cheerful and Smiling But just they took a bit more time than regular just for our chaats. Its fine we understand that they are new so we should welcome them.

With a change in management of the restaurant, the overall dining experience has significantly improved. The menu is more Andhra centric, but the chef does justice to all North Indian dishes as well. They are short staffed at the moment, but they maintain the good quality and taste of food. Their goat and chicken biriyani’s are top class! I highly recommend this restaurant for a good experience of Indian cuisine.
