I’ve never written a Unilocal review before but I feel compelled to write this after a terrible experience. My sister and I were waiting on our plane and decided to stop in for a beer at the Ouachita Brewhouse. I ordered two beers from James the bartender. He requested to see our IDs and after I handed them to him he said«New York state, huh» and complained he couldn’t find the birthdate on the cards. Then he said he didn’t think my sister looked 30 years old and I told him that was funny because people usually think she’s older than me(I’m 34). At that he said that he had caught me in a lie – that I had said my sister was older. He made a big show in front of the other customers and said he couldn’t serve us and we were not welcome there. I find it hard to believe that we had just used our drivers licenses to get through airport security but they weren’t good enough for James at the Ouachita Brew House. I find it much more likely he saw our NYC driver’s licenses and didn’t want to serve two Yankees. All of our family live in Arkansas and I love coming to Little Rock to visit every year. But it’s ignorant people like James at the Ouachita Brew House that make me not want to come back.

This is my go-to place when I’m flying out from LIT. It’s a decent airport bar. Tony the bartender is a nice fella — always kind to me and quick with the drinks. He sometimes delves too much into Libertarian politics for my taste, but that’s better than many alternatives.

Outsatnding service! Military friendly. I have been coming here for over 4 years and there has always been consistent friendly and great service as long as Tony is the tender. They should rename this place Tony’s!

There are few things I respect in life more than a good bartender. Tony at Ouachita is one of the very best. Sometimes It’s hard just to try to make eye contact with a bartender. If you aren’t immediately best friends with Tony, I guarantee its because there is absolutely something wrong with *you*. In fact,. you could probably consider Tony a psychiatric self diagnosis. Go here if you want a great LRNA experience. There aren’t many options. Don’t be fooled by more seating. Go see Tony. End of story.

Great food and even better service. The pulled pork was tender and tasty. 6 choices of BBQ sauce that were all good. The friendly bar-tender/waiter immediately made you feel at home and provided great service. I will certainly stop by on my next trip.

Way to go Little Rock Airport! This is just the place I needed to catch dinner before my flight home! good burger and great local beer! I would recommend the Blonde they have on tap. Also, they do have some locally made whiskeys maybe next time I’ll try those and report back.

After eating dinner at the larger, nicer looking, but much less interesting Ouchita Landing, we made our way to the Brew House. We only had about 40 minutes to spend in here before our flight started boarding, but I loved every second of it. The bartender was a total wackadoo who gave me a spiritual healing to prevent me from dying in a plane crash, complete with a whack on the head. He also engaged in an intense pun-off with us. It was punderful. They didn’t have any different choices than the Landing, and they didn’t have the drinks they had posters up for, but it was an entirely enjoyable way to kill some time at the airport with a VASTLY superior bartender compared to the Landing.

If you’re looking for some ample brews, stop in this place and you’ll be just fine. I will warn you though, if you’re looking for a quite place to hang out and work, this probably isn’t the place for you. It’s loud and boisterous and fun! The beer, the burger and the bartender made my 4 hour stay in the hot box they were calling an airport almost bearable. One burger and Two IPA’s later, I was a bit more prepared to withstand the heat.
