Service was sub par took a while for food to get ordered. Seemed like there were only 2 servers. Also had to argue with the manager about not meeting the $ 500 limit for the room for a birthday party we were having. Not what we had agreed to on arrival. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with white rice, rice was dry and chicken was like warm. Will not return.

Dim lit atmosphere. Friendly service. It’s a random mixture of theme in this restaurant. It has lots of TVs all around but looks like it’s trying to be a more hip fun and trendy restaurant. The sushi we had was great though. I am pretty picky having had Seattle’s fresh & delicious sushi but I found some favorites of mine here. The Hawaiian roll was the perfect flavor with coconut shrimp, cream cheese, mango & tropical sauce. The Louisiana was good but definitely rich and bigger pieces. I had the Tako(octopus) nigiri was good too. We also had the fried cheesecake for dessert which was okay. The cheesecake was a little frozen in the middle. We will be back for more Hawaiian roll and sake bombs. Oh yeah the sake bombs are good too. ;)

Nice atmosphere. A little pricey and a trendy little restaurant in the Heights. Good beer selection, consistent but it is a little high & there are rolls on the menu for people who don’t really like sushi. My favorite is the yellowfin nigiri and unagi.

Probably my fave sushi spot in LR because of the atmosphere. Very hip vibe in The Heights. Food is never disappointing. I wish I could comment on the other dishes, because their menu really looks amazing… but we ALWAYS go for sushi. The best roll I’ve had was the Louisiana Roll. Other than the horrifically hot jalapenos, it’s amazing. Such a big variety of rolls… I always try something different. Service is hit and miss. It’s never been awful, but last night it was a little iffy. The waiter only looked at one of our sushi order sheets, so only half of our order came out at first. But when we brought it to his attention, he corrected it. I noticed he forgot the appetizers at the table next to us… so maybe he was having an off night. Definitely will keep going back And trying new sushi.

Service is everything! Walked in the«manager»(said his name was«Pang» immediately looked at his watch. we asked if we were too late and he said no we are open another hour. He placed us at a table which we asked if we could be at the booth right next to it. He said no the section was closed. We pointed to another booth across the restaurant and asked, again he said it was closed. Seeming Irritated he set down our menus and napkins and walked off. We obviously were not want to sit at that table, yes being picky we didn’t want to sit on the one table that was in a major walk way, specially when there were many other open tables. We opted to sit at the bar. The bartender came and took our drink orders and I joked about getting I trouble because I’d be looking at the tv instead of talking to my company. He said well go sit at that booth. We told him we were told we could sit their because the section was closed. He said we can sit were we want and to go. Now that’s the service I expect. We when sat down and Pang came storming over saying we can’t sit their. We told him we were told to sit here. He said the other guy doesn’t know what we can and can’t do and that he is the manager and said we can’t. We got up embarrassed and frustrated and told Pang we were leaving. Again, zero attempt to fix the situation, apologize for the inconvenience… I feel some one want to make sure they closed on time. Service is everything!

The sushi is pretty good but the service could improve. Not sure if we just come during a bad time, but it seems so hard to get our tea’s and water refilled. My friend would have to walk around looking for a waitress. I would rate this place a 3.5 star but if the service was better, rating could go up a bit. Favorites: Blue Dragon(Coconut shrimp, crabstick, cream cheese, kiwi on top with sweet chili vinaigrette): Yummy Robata(Salmon, avocado, cucumber & crunchy batter with flying fish roe, eel sauce & crabstick): Minus the flying fish roe was good! Vegetarian Roll(Avocado, Cucumber, carrots, and other things): Nice and light Pink Lady(Spicy tuna, salmon, crabstick avocado & fiery hot sauce): Minus fiery hot sauce bc I’m too chicken): Good! This is the best sushi in town so far, but it doesn’t beat the sushi in California — Sorry!

Best sushi I’ve found so far in LR. Best of the worst isn’t great but it’s good enough for sushi cravings. Service is not good but it rarely is at sushi places.

Hmm, so, short story — the sushi is very good! Service was excellent, and the prices were excellent for sushi. Also, there’s a great Happy Hour! I particularly recommend the spicy edamame and HH fries(never had Tempura french fries? You, dear reader, are missing out!) Long story– I’ve been here three times now, and I hesitated to review because… Well, quite honestly, it’s confusing! On my last visit, my wife and I came in for a casual dinner(which this place is perfect for!) and were seated at a nice table near the back. Our table was next to the hallway leading to the bathrooms and kitchen. There was a small dividing wall between our table at the hallway. Now, most of the bar is «mood» lit to the point of being a little difficult to read the menu, while that hallway was office-building off-white. Sitting in my seat, my left eye was in the hallway getting burnt out, while my right was in the dark-dark-dark romantic lighting. My wife, behind the dividing wall, was blissfully unaware of this and in the romantic side. But that odd straddling of romantic and… Not romantic is all over this place. I mentioned the super dark lighting, and the tables are nice for a quiet dinner for two — but there are TVs *everywhere.* Which is strange for a sushi joint, and really messes with the romance. Even the extra-cozy lounge out front, which is separate from the bar, would be even better for date night, but even it has two TVs in it. And between the dim light and the small space, the light in the room flickers with whatever is on. I would expect that in a sports bar, but not so much a sushi restaurant. Still, good food, good service, comfortable seats, good prices, and a nice variety on the menu — definitely high marks for all of that! It just… leaves you feeling a little strange, like you don’t know if you went out for a date or a Super Bowl party.

The sushi café was the first time I ever tasted sushi. It was so good and have been back multiple times. I love sushi now and the sushi café is the place to get it in Little Rock. I have been to other sushi places and they are not as well as the sushi café.

We came into town and met up with friends that recommend this place. I was a tad skeptical because it wasn’t rated as high as others in little rock. The sushi was terrific and the service wad good at best. At the door they were super attentive but at the table we didn’t have drinks as often as we would have liked. I think the ratings are a bit low. 4 stars is probably more appropriate.

We came here for dinner and happened to make it for Happy Hour. They had $ 5 house wines, cosmopolitans, and raspberry margaritas. My sister and I both ordered the raspberry margaritas and it came out yellow! I couldn’t believe it and then when I tasted it, it was so sugary that I felt it like I was receiving an injection through my straw into my body. Never order the raspberry margarita– EVER. Thankfully the Wok Fired Edamame and sushi rolls were much better. We ordered 7 different kinds of rolls and my favorite one was the Dynamite roll with lightly fried yellowtail, peppers, jalapeño and topped with spicy crabmeat! YUMMY! I could have eaten the entire roll myself. We also ordered the Green Dragon that has grilled eel, cucumber, avocado and eel sauce. It was OK but wasn’t mind blowing. The eel should have a stronger, bolder taste which was lacking. My brother’s favorite is The Bomb. This is spicy crawfish, crabstick cream cheese lightly fried with special sauce. I think it’s hilarious when they write special sauce. Why does every special sauce always remind me of thousand island? I also liked the Spice Girls which had spicy tuna, salmon, cracbstick, avocado and fiery hot sauce. We also ordered a few sushi house rolls such as the spicy tuna and a Philadelphia roll. I’ve never been a fan of the Philly roll. Service was OK. They also tried to seat us in between two tables full of people but we asked to move to a larger area which really helped. Our waitress refilled our drinks but after most of our glasses were empty. If it wasn’t for the food, I would have given them a lower rank. Saved by the food.

Let me start by saying my wife is a big Sushi Café fan. I have always enjoyed it, but most sushi taste the same to me as long as it is not bad sushi. As we now have a child, we do not get too many grown up dates. So we were excited. We were greeted with a sign stating their card machine was down so would have to pay with cash or check. An inconvenience, but no deal breaker. We were seated on the patio and our server eventually made it to us. I don’t remember his name, but he had a blonde pony tail(I shall call him PT) and seemed as if he might have just finished a «smoke break» out back. Started off with a bottle of sake and their spicy edamame, Edamame came out after maybe 10 minutes. Not saying that is a long time, but it does seem like a while for edamame. I would like to say the sake came out in that time frame, but I can’t. Probably 15 minutes after we ordered it, I asked PT if we could get it. After a few more minutes of searching, we were informed that«they must be out.» Not a huge deal, just ordered another bottle. Took 5 more minutes. Our sushi order was fairly straightforward, 4 rolls. At this point maybe we were just being sensitive to how long things were taking, but it seemed like an eternity before they arrived. PT did not bring individual plates. We had to ask another table’s server for those. We also had to ask her for more water, as we asked PT2 – 3 times with no results. Overall sushi was still good to very good. Review based on food alone would probably be 4 – 4.5 stars. We were really looking forward to getting back to Little Rock and eating at our sushi restaurant. Unfortuantely, PT put a slight damper on things. Also, Sushi Café, please turn the music on the patio up a tad. You could very easily hear everyone’s conversations, which leads to you not holding very in-depth convos.

Nice place to bring a date or check out the classy MILFs and cougars that roam this restaurant, that is if you are single. Wait staff was nice and accommodating, even suggesting dishes/appetizers to order. I visited the restaurant during dinner hours so it was a bit slower to my liking, but I understood that I’m not the nucleus of the world, at least not at dinner time! I ordered sushi and sriracha edamame suggested by the waitress. Food was good enough to warrant a re-visit. I would suggest for guys to wear at least a polo.
