What is one to do when you drop your iPhone in a puddle during a rain storm? Well, I’ll tell you, you head directly to Alternative Cellular.
Jennifer, the owner, is super nice and helpful. She let me know up front that there was a possibility that it my iPhone may have been beyond repair, but that they would do their very best to get it back in tip top shape.
About an hour or so after I dropped off my 5s, it was all done! My screen which previously had some scary lines running down it was now clear as a bell. There ended up being a couple of spots on my screen where the touch screen wasn’t working, so miracle-​worker Austin, who worked on my phone, recommended replacing the screen as well, which I did end up doing.
My phone still isn’t 100% (let’s face it, iPhones and water are not bff’s), but it’s at about 90%, which is way better than I was expecting.
I am so impressed with the level of customer service and I will definitely be back! They also offer cell phone service through Boost and Page Plus and they have plenty of phones and tablets for sale or consignment… so if your phone is beyond repair, you may be able to replace it asap!

So thrilled to have found Alternative Cellular! When my son dropped his i-​pod we took it to a chain repair store and was SHOCKED at the price. instead we decided to try it on our own, and ordered the screen online. Once it arrived, we realized we were in WAY over our head. I saw Alternative Cellular while driving by, and decided to stop and get a quote. They were so much Less that the other quote, and said if we brought in the screen, they would see what they could do! We were leaving for a road trip the next day, so time was of the essence, and they made it a priority! We received it back, and it was as good as new! The touchscreen works great, and the price was unbelievable!!! The service was great, and that White German Shepard made waiting for the screen pass quickly!!! I have and will continue to recommend Alternative cellular and my friends have thanked me for it!!!

I dropped my iPhone5c and shattered the screen. I needed it fixed fast so I looked up the closest place to me. I did not read any reviews before I brought my phone in. The woman who helped me was personal and pleasant when I came in. She said it would take 45mins. It took 45mins. I read the other Unilocal reviews while I was waiting and to be honest, I was a little nervous. When I came in to pick up my phone I noticed the brightness looked dark. I was told to wait a day and see if it still looked dark. I called later that night to let them know it was still dark and now the touch screen was not working. I was contacted first thing the next day and asked to bring it back in and they would take care of it straight away. I went back in, and in less than an hour my phone was working perfectly. I guess sometimes you can get a defective part. It is not the fault of the store, but the supplier. They were very helpful. Not at all like the other reviewers stated. Maybe it was because when I had a problem I approached it as someone who knows things can go wrong (not in a defensive manner) that are totally out of your control and I was confident that they would fix it because of how I was treated. I will be back.

I took my phone here to get the screen fixed based off a recommendation from a coworker. I went in and told them my problem and they said the parts needed to come. I paid in full then because they said they need 50% to get the parts. It was a mistake on my part to do this.
I had to call multiple times to see if the parts were in. When the parts finally came in, I dropped off my phone and they said it would be done within the hour. I went back an hour later and it wasn’t done. This time they said three hours. I went back three hours later and it still wasn’t done. They hadn’t even started on my phone until I went back after four hours to see if it was done.
When I got my phone back, the automatic brightness wasn’t working but I didn’t think much of it. But, recently my phone feel and the LCD cable came loose. I went to another company to have it fixed and they said that when Alternative Cellular fixed my phone they completely ruined my phone. Screws and pieces are missing that are supposed to be there even after the screen was fixed. The guy who fixed the LCD cable said that my phone is ruined and will continue to have LCD cable problems because of the way that it had been fixed previously.

This is a good alternative to getting a new phone (if you don’t want to extend your contract with your cell phone provider).
If you have a damaged phone (water damage, screen damage, ect), they charge $ 10 to take a look at it, and if they can fix it, they charge $ 35. If they can’t fix it — you only pay $ 10!
A pretty good deal and a better alternative than getting screwed by your provider…
