I travelled to Littleton Co. to visit a friend last week. Since the bad snow weather we decided to call take out. Followed Unilocal found a 4 stars Chinese restaurant near by. Empress of China. We ordered a Wonton soup, a fried Chicken Wing an a Pork Fried Rice and a Shrimp Chow Mein. Within 10 minutes, a young and sweet lady delivered the orders arrived. The soup still hot even though snowing night. The fried Chicken Wing is so fresh and still smoke. Shrimp Chow Mein is perfect !!! Taste is super!

Ate here yesterday. Ordered a variety of their food. It was definitely the worst Chinese food I’ve EVER eaten. Nothing tasted like it was supposed to, especially the sesame chicken, egg drop soup, and general taos chicken. It was expensive too. Not worth $ 20 and we paid $ 45. It was delivered 5 minutes after we ordered. There’s something very unsettling about that even though we live across the street. And on top of all that my boyfriend and I woke very sick this morning.

I had a very disappointing experience here. My General Tao’s chicken and egg drop soup were sub par and while for approximately 30 minutes while dining there was no one outside of the kitchen to bring my check, fill my water, or check how I was doing. I won’t be going back, which is unfortunate because it is the closest Chinese restaurant to my work.

Stopped in for an afternoon snack. The fried crag Rangoon was the best ever…6 for 3.99 and were light hot flaky with perfect amount of filling. Also loved the hot and sour soup. This is a do over place can’t wait to come back!

It was our first time here last night. The sesame chicken was really good. Nice size portions, clean atmosphere. I think we have a new favorite chinese restaurant.

You can tell they use higher quality products here. Fresh tasting and very fast delivery. Since we discoverd this hidden gem we haven’t ordered from elsewhere. One other thing we notice, we never have any leftovers from Empress of China! Yum!

I have been eating at this place for almost 30 years. For me it is some of the best Chinese food I have had. Not many places in the metro area can match it. There is only one spot in town that I believe to be superior to Empress, but I have to pay $ 20 for a plate of Kung Pao Chicken. Empress is priced great. It is great food. Nice casual enviroment with food that could rival an asian fine dinning chain.

This is a nice little Chinese Restaurant, the atmosphere is pretty typical of these kinds of places, and it is very clean. We were seated quickly and the server was friendly. The lunch deal was great! Really good prices for very large portions. The quality of the food was good as well. But this is where one star is lost. Everything was good, but not great. The Egg Drop soup was tasty but didn’t amaze me. Same with the egg rolls, and my Cashew Shrimp plate. My wife liked her Sweet and Sour Chicken, but again, it did not blow her away. This is by no means a negative review, and if you are in the area I would definitely recommend this restaurant, I just wouldn’t make a trip to find it.

Dumplings were pretty gamey tasting, and the sweet and sour was not very sweet or sour. The shrimp in the sweet and sour were big, and the chicken was all white meat, so both a plus. Think I’ll try some other Chinese restaurants in Littleton before trying Empress of China again.

Just ordered delivery and the food came fast, was hot and delicious. I ordered the mongolian beef, boyfriend ordered the sesame chicken, both were awesome! And as someone who’s very particular about her wonton soup, best I’ve had in this neighborhood. Will definitely be ordering again.

Over many years, we have found Empress of China to be the best Chinese food in the area when compared to all the other restaurants you spot when driving around in this area of town. We measure Chinese restaurants by their Sesame Chicken dish. Quality of the chicken and how it is prepared always seems a step above how others prepare it. Other dishes are also good. Takeout or eat in, you are treated with great service either way. Never seems crowded if you you eat in.

I live in California and have never actually tasted this food BUT… My sister lives in Littleton and was having a bad day on her birthday which happened to be on a Sunday. I wanted to send her flowers to cheer her up but I could not find a florist open on a Sunday so I thought I would have dinner sent to her instead. I found Empress of China on Unilocal and I ordered Vegetables, chicken fried rice, orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, chicken lo mein, fried chicken wings, broccoli beef & egg rolls. Not only did it make my sisters day but she and her family said it was all very fresh and delicious. The delivery got there right when they said it would.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night after seeing generally good reviews on Unilocal. We ordered a meal deal that included a Pu Pu Platter and the restaurant was kind enough to replace the shrimp appetizer, given my husband’s allergy. I had the Sesame Chicken. The spouse had Kung Pao Chicken, which he always realizes he’s never liked very much just after ordering. It was definitely a tastey meal, but not earth shatteringly so. The spring rolls were great and the breading on the Sesame Chicken was nutty and crisp. The service was attentive and accommodating and there was quite enough for a reheated lunch Sunday afternoon.

Was in the area and my Unilocal app showed this place as having the highest star rating of the surrounding restaurants. The reviews sounded great, so my kids and I decided to have lunch here. The place was empty when we arrived at noon on a Friday — this is hard to do anywhere in the Denver metro. I started with hot and sour soup and it was not very good — tasted as if it had been setting in the pot and hadn’t been stirred before serving. My kids had egg drop and said it was ok. I ordered a diet coke and it came in a can along with a glass of ice. Not sure why some restaurants don’t get a fountain and increase their profits(and my refills). I ordered Mongolian Beef and overall it was pretty good, but had a bit too much sauce. The egg rolls are long and average tasting. The place was probably about 64 degrees as it was too uncomfortable to enjoy lunch without having to wear my coat. Not sure if they were trying to save money. My kids went without water refills until after I had already paid the check. I was never asked if I would like a diet coke refill, even though my glass was empty shortly after finishing my soup — for this I cannot give more than 2 stars.

A mediocre Chinese New Year meal. We wanted to go to a local Chinese restaurant. After I read the positive reviews on Unilocal I thought let’s try this out. We did and won’t be returning. The service was friendly. The décor better than expected from the ratings. But the food just so so. My husband had the Happy Family and I had the combination low mien. Both lacked flavor. They need better sauces. We are Chinese and were disappointed.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the areas, family owned, very sweet people. Food is awesome! Try the Mongolian Chicken it’s killer or a Pu Pu Platter, Give them a chance at capturing your tastebuds, you won’t be sorry! But don’t tell too many people or it ‘ll get too crowded!
