Great little place, nice staff, cozy, nice 20 oz beers. Lots of exposed wood beams, good music, here for a wake from out of town and was the perfect spot to swing by!!!

Service wasn’t very good and it wasn’t very busy. Some girl behind the bar that was just waiting for her shift to get over with. Beer selections were just the usual, nothing interesting to try. I had a cheesesteak sub that they said was really really good. But it was just ordinary… and I was starving. So ordinary is an elevated critique haha There were flies flying around all over the place. They were annoying. I heard the pizza is really really good… so I’d like to try it. There is no 2.5 so I’ll be generous and give it a three star.

I like this place. Well, I wanted to like this place. It did hit the Bulls eye in that it was small and intimate — a neighborhood pub. I liked that idea, and the interior reinforced that — nice plank wood bar, high top tables and regular booths. The beer selection is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. So why only 3 stars? Because the shortfalls are so easy to fix, and persist because of inattentive management. The service staff is untrained, but they don’t know it. Oh sure, they get the right beer, and deliver the food correctly. But they don’t get that they’re in the service business, and that, for a pub, is simple: greet newcomers. Being busy and saying I’ll be there in a minute is ok. What’s not ok is yakking with customer friends while I and at least 2 other new parties sit at the bar, waiting to be greeted. Next — watch your customers. Offer a refill when the glass is dry, offer to take the food order when the menu is down. What’s not ok is to hangout gossiping or socializing. I’m not talking about the case when the wait staff is busy, and just needs to time slice narrowly. Nope, not busy, just on the phone, or whatever. Not pro behavior. Worst? Having to ask for the check after trying to catch the staffer’s eye while she munched with the customer. Don’t get me wrong. I wanted a friendly place, and socializing g is a big part of that. But good barkeeps know how and when to hang with the repeaters, while being attentive to newcomers, in order to turn the newcomers into repeaters. Maybe I’ll stop back in 6 months to see what’s changed. Maybe.

Great little hole in the wall. Pizza/Sub Shop on one side, cozy little bar filled with locals on the other. Beers on tap and bottles, and reasonably priced food.

The bar is okay. I do like the staff, they are ways very friendly and personable. The bar is a small one, not a whole lot of seating. The food is just basically more expensive sub shop food, in my opinion. A complaint I have is that the drinks are not usually mixed well, and never in the appropriate glass. Overall, I would recommend it as a place to grab a quick beer with a friend, that’s basically it.

Here’s the deal. Have you ever been into a sub shop and walked into a adjoining pub with great beer, game on TV, seating for 20 and cute bartenders? That’s what this place is. I’m a fan and will be back… Oh yeah, food from the pizza/sub shop was pretty good!

Nice, clean place with good food like you can usually get in a small town place.

hard to say. on one hand, seems like an interesting little place, could develop into a neighborhood dive bar of the good kind … but it definitely feels like more of an after thought and it’s not clear it will coalesce into what could be… we’ll see
