Best Mexican food in littleton, for a good price! The a drive is always great, the food is always great, and they have gluten free options. Which is perfect for my celiac girlfriend. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Stopped in for the first time recently. Bar floor was sticky. House margaritas were awful… syrupy sweet. Unskilled bartender. Chile relleno was a strip of flavorless green chile covered with cheese and wrapped rather than a whole stuffed chile battered(no excuse for that), burrito tasteless. Beans were pretty good, rice bland. Chile was bland. I have to wonder where people are from who think this is good mexican food… way too expensive for what they serve. Staff was pretty nice. Having experienced this restaurant, it is hard to imagine anyone feeling the need to wait to get in. In all, fair at best, edible, but I probably won’t go back.

Ouch. Was one of my favorite places. 4 for dinner last night and what a let down. As the prices went up the quality went down. Had to beg for service and when the food shied up it was cold and old enough to vote. I had #9 combo. Taco and tostada were wet an no crunch. Pretty hard to ruin a basic dish, but they mastered it. Standing in line on the way out, for $ 20 a head slop. I won’t make it back.

The Sunday brunch buffet(until 3:00) is fantastic. It has everything you could expect. The barbaoca, canitas, chile rellenos, cheese enchiladas, rice and guacamole were all excellent. I can’t wait to go back!

This used to be a great place to eat, but not so much any more. Salsa was way too hot to enjoy, two varieties would help. Carne asada burrito was coated with sauce so you could hardly taste the steak and there was just a very small amount of lettuce on the side. I ordered the guac and sour cream to cool down the food, again the sauce was overly spicy, and the waiter forgot to bring this with the meal. I waited about 10 minutes and finally decided to get up and ask at the front area if someone would be able to remind our waiter. It took at least another 10 minutes to get these sides. Ate a couple more bites with the sour cream which helped to cool down the meal, but in general the meal was a soupy mess. The quality has certainly gone down at this place(Centennial location) and will be looking for a new Mexican restaurant for sure.

I’m not impressed. I wanted to like this place; there aren’t many Mexican food joints in the area and close by. The prices were a little on the high side, I know it’s a sit down restaurant but that shouldn’t justify higher prices. So I had the special of the day, which was the fish ceviche. I love fish and shrimp ceviche but this was more cilantro ceviche than fish, the amount of cilantro made me think it was a salad with fish sprinkled as garnish. Seriously, not cool.

I’ve been here for the all you can eat brunch and also at lunch. The food is spicier than I normally eat but the brunch had made to order street tacos and delicious flan as well as unlimited hot chocolate so I’ll be back for sure.

There’s always a long long long line for this restaurant. It reminds me of when I used to live in LA. there was a line for everything there. I think our wait on a Saturday evening was about 45 minutes. I had steak fajitas and my boyfriend had a smothered steak burrito. Both were really good. but nothing extraordinary. I actually don’t think it was worth the 45 minute wait. there are other Mexican restaurants that taste just as good without a wait. We also ordered their horchatas. and it was too sweet for us. I don’t think I would order it again. I wouldn’t mind coming back to this restaurant. but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Sunday brunch Wowed the family. We had heard good things about the brunch and decided to try it out. It was an amazing value. This is a family friendly option with lots of kiddos around. Be warned though, only the made to order omelette are generic options for picky eaters. For lovers of Mexican food, you are in for a treat. My favorites were the pork and green chili sauce(not too hot with great flavor), Barbacoa beef, and street tacos. Nothing super spicy so you could fully taste the flavor. I took the cilantro by the truckload and loaded up my street tacos. Other side items were available to pick up as desired. The strawberry water was a treat. It tasted like strawberries and cream. The flan was another pleasant surprise. I had 3 servings. Free mimosas were just ok. Hard to taste the OJ.

Great Mexican food. We will gladly drive an hour for good Mexican food, but this restaurant is in our neighborhood — we lucked out. Try the carnitas or the street tacos.

Been here twice and so far this is the best Mexican food I have had in Colorado. Now I’m jaded from growing up in Southern California where there is soooo much good Mexican food. I still haven’t found good West Coast Mexican food BUT for so far this place is real close!

I had the street tacos and they were good. My girlfriend had the enchiladas and she thought they were so so. The waiter was excellent when she gave him her honest opinion. It’s nice to dine in a place that makes customer satisfaction a top priority. So kudos to the waiter and we will return and try something else from the extensive menu next time.

This was my second visit Los Dos and they didn’t disappoint. I’ve had the beef enchiladas, fajitas and guisado here and was very pleased with them all. Great flavor and nicely colored sauce on the enchiladas, the fajitas were also very flavorful and had generous amounts of meat and sides. The guisado is kind of a steak stew a little spicier than I like but good. My reason for picking the guisado is because I’m from Texas and we have carne guisada there and it’s awesome. My search continues as I remain unsuccessful at finding a Mexican restaurant that serves it. It was VERY crowded on a Friday night but we were seated promptly, the staff seemed a little overwhelmed and service suffered just a tad. All in all another great visit.

My absolute favorite mexican restaurant in Colorado! Delicious doesn’t even begin to do justice to Los Dos. One note of caution… the salsa is HOT. Like really hot. You can ask for a milder one, just FYI. :) Los Dos makes the best green chile, and the carne asada tacos are INCREDIBLE. Those are my two favorite menu items… but seriously, you cannot go wrong with anything here! Also, they have Sunday brunch for 17.99 and they have everything you can imagine… including mimosas!

Carnitas! Best thing on the menu. And the chile relleno nachos are so over the top, so bad and cheesy, they’re good. My kids love their brunch… Because who doesn’t like drinking hot chocolate for breakfast and eating sopapillas. Better than most of the other Mexican places in the area… But that’s not saying much, given the selection of suburban fare.

Had a decent meal for lunch. The portions were huge and could statisfy a very hungry person. Ordering off the al a carte menu was a great option for a cheaper meal. I had the chicken burrito with beans. Only slight complaint is the salsa was spicy compated to most Mexican restaurants. It tasted great, but was a slight shock on the first bite.

My family eats here quite often because we are huge fans of the Carnitas(only served on the weekend but are tasty regardless). I’ve tried many menu items and haven’t ever really been blown away by anything other than tacos al carbon and the carnitas. The queso dip is actually really delicious, it’s pretty rich but ultimately a good start to any meal. As a side note I can handle heat really well and the salsa here is sometimes unbearably hot. They do offer a milder version for those so inclined that is available upon request. The drinks here are reasonably priced but I would steer clear of the margaritas for one reason, they all taste like they have pre-mixed margarita mix in them. Which if you like that, awesome good for you, you’ll love these margs. They do have a decent beer menu and the prices are extremely inexpensive considering. The carnitas are in my opinion the best thing on their menu. The green chilli they smother them in is phenomenal and has the best flavor. The portions for the carnitas is actually impressive, they are easily enough for two meals(they make amazing leftovers). I love the fact that this plate comes with fresh pico and quacamole as well. The take-out portions are also incredible, they even give you chips and salsa to go. Call ahead to order and they will have your meal all prepared and ready to go!

Los Dos Potrillos is great! Throughout my years living here in Littleton the restaurant has become a place of tradition for my family. Birthdays, graduations, wedding rehearsal dinners all happen here. The staff knows my family well after all the years of coming here and they know exactly how we like our margarita’s(strong!). Their salsa is super good too, I have to stop myself from eating only that. Their entrees are fairly priced and are all large meals by themselves. The only downside to this business is that it is very popular and the wait for a table can be 45 minutes plus on the weekend. When I do Mexican food I always choose Los Dos.
