We have tried this place a few times now just because the patio is right next to the lake. The food is subpar each time. The server was extremely nice and courteous but took over an hr to get our food. He said the cook got in a fight with the owner and walked out so he has to cover a lot of tables. We asked for a discount and he said«absolutely.» At least they acknowledge the issues. If you want margs on a patio next to the lake, this is the place. If you want good food and decent service, go elsewhere. Stay away from nachos and Colorado enchilada platter.

The food is delicious, fresh and healthy! We’ve been back twice in one week! Wonderful patio ambiance on the lake.

Probably one of the best patio’s in town. That’s it. That’s all they have to offer. Food is just bland, and the service hit or miss. I’ve tried this place four times now hoping it would improve. I’m done and moving on.

Sat in the bar and service was fine. Food pretty good but way overpriced. Owners should rethink the idea of no free chips and salsa with such expensive food. People in this area have an expectation for Mexican restaurants regardless if they are trying to be unique. Have daily specials that are cheaper instead of trying to get customers to use coupons. Your model cant sustain business and maybe you should rethink how you plan to grow your business.

Good service and a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t match. It’s not bad, but it is dull and boring. If you like bland food, eat here. If you like flavorful Tex-Mex, skip this restaurant.

Our favorite part is the patio with the view of the lake. We also really liked the Pineapple Poblano salsa on the shrimp tacos. Gina was our server and she was awesome! Great energy and very nice!

The service, the food, and the ambiance of the entire place is incredible! You can’t beat their margaritas, and the view I had of the lake off the patio was the best way we could have spent our evening. I am a total patio fanatic and this place is up in my top 3 outside dinner destinations! Definitely my new favorite place to unwind! LOVE that they are a dog friendly patio too! Our server was knowledgable about the menu and even sent our fiesty(and unwilling to wait) one year olds food out first so we could enjoy a nice night out. Management and owner were very friendly and my hubby can’t stop raving about the drummies! Overall we had an impeccable experience and will be back for happy hour again soon!

I walk by this place frequently and was drawn in by the cool looking patio. The outdoor seating is great and the bar area inside is pretty solid. The margaritas are decent and I would return for both of the above. The staff was friendly. The thing I felt inclined to mention was how uninspiring the food is. We grabbed a plate of nachos on happy hour and it looked like something you would make for yourself quickly at home in the microwave. Followed up with a chicken chimichanga. Really meh. Worth a try for a drink on a warm night, but plan to eat elsewhere.

Their servers are unprofessional. While we were trying to enjoy our meal the staff were getting drunk at the bar and starting drama amongst each other. One of them was stealing alcohol while the bar tender went to get our food from the service window. The food took almost an hour and it wasn’t what I look for in a Mexican restaurant, it’s very Americanized and bland. I have a feeling the owner is putting too much trust in his staff and as a result they are taking advantage while the food and service suffer.

So I decided to sit in the bar area since I was by myself. The bartender(forgot her name, but was wearing glasses), served me. She was very nice and on point with everything I had the Tijuana Taco Combo. Nice variety of tacos. I definitely enjoyed it. Much more flavorful than a lot of places I’ve gone. Over it was a very good but not stand out. I’d definitely come back again though

Went here tonight… not impressed. The service was OK, but the food is kind of odd. There is no complimentary chips and salsa… which is a downer. The salsa did not have a lot of flavor. The food itself seemed okay at first but after a few bites I realized it isn’t that great after all. It’s not very authentic, but I expected that due to the look/feel of the restaurant, but I could make better food at my house. I don’t want to pay $ 15 an entrée for something I could make BETTER at my house. Nothing was very flavorful. The server split our check incorrectly and gave someone in our party flour tortillas instead of corn in their enchilada, which seemed simple enough. Will not be returning.

It’s great when the bartender doesn’t acknowledge you when you sit down, and maybe say’s one or two words. There were a couple of really friendly people working here, but there gone. I figured they didn’t feel welcomed either. Needless to say, but the service is not on point. Additionally, I would love to try their food, but it’s so expensive, I only come in on Monday for their $ 3 fresh juice margs., which I like, but not at the cost of poor service. FU2LC!

Lucha Cantina recently celebrated their one year anniversary and they have definitely gotten past the learning curve of opening a new restaurant! It has quickly risen to one of our favorite places to eat. While they have great authentic Mexican options, there are also a few items that appeal when one is craving something other than Mexican: burgers, mac & cheese, salads; I’ve tried a little of everything and it’s all been good! The drink selection is good and the cocktails are tasty. I especially enjoy the Melon Marg and the Cukes of Hazard. We never come here without ordering salsa and we’ve narrowed the large selection down to our two favorites that we consistently enjoy. I’m also looking forward to the weather warming up so that we can enjoy that great patio again!

We are SO happy to finally have found our Mexican restaurant at Lucha Cantina! The food is incredible and tastes very fresh. You can tell it’s an amazing place by how happy the employees are. Gina was our server tonight and even though she got quadruple sat, including our table, she handled it beautifully. She was so friendly and fun! We will definitely be back soon to see Gina and to enjoy some more margaritas! Cheers!

Great spot! Based on Unilocal reviews I probably wouldn’t have stopped here but my daughter had been here before and said it was good. They have healthy selections and more traditional selections. We had the healthier ones and they were very flavorful. Ask for a table with a view of the lake. Jules was also great — fast, friendly, and had great suggestions. As with my other reviews the number of stars is reflective of the price and character of the restaurant.

AVOIDATALLCOSTS! Categorically failed at all phases of execution in regards to being a Mexican Restaurant. What they serve cannot be called Mexican, and can barely be labeled as Food. To start out, my father in law was served flat beer. Then when I asked for us to all get some water, the waiter brought us ONE water, and didn’t even give it to the person who asked for it. As you’ve no doubt seen from the other reviews on here, the prices are outrageous, charging 8 dollars for chips is just insulting if you’re a Mexican restaurant as they so claim. Painfully obvious they use a cheese«sauce» and not real cheese. Being married to a Latino family, they were genuinely insulted that there was no red sauce with the enchiladas, and that their rice and beans were as dry as could be. I ordered their Red Ram Ribs as I was craving some barbecue. I’m a huge fan of ribs, especially pork ribs. Lucha Cantinas ribs were down right insulting. The ribs are BOILED! Sure, the meet ‘falls off the bone’, but given the flavorless meet I was wishing it would fall off the fork. The barbecue sauce was overpoweringly sweet to the point I could not finish a bite without balancing it out with a hand full of French fries. The manager claimed the sauce was home made, but it tasted EXACTLY like the sauce they use at Dave N Busters. Disappointing on every level, and the disappointment lived on to when we got home when my wife and I spent about ten minutes in the restroom. I wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I hated.

Nope! My wife and I ate here last night and I’ve been sick since. If they were trying to go with the authentic results of drinking water in Mexico, they succeeded. That aside, let me walk you through our visit… We walked in and the very first thing we noticed was how put out the hostess was with us wanting to, you know, be seated. For a meal. It was a total hassle for her. Next up was the fact that we hadn’t been seated for even a minute when they came up to ask us if we wanted a drink other than water. In fact, I was still taking my daughter’s jacket off when the waiter came over. Also, umm, no drink menu to decide on anyway. Having told him we weren’t ready, we didn’t see him again for a while. In fact, he wound up not being our waiter the rest of the evening. Our new waitress was very nice. She took our drink order and came back with a couple of margaritas for us. They were ok. Not the best I’ve ever had, but not the worst. Mine was a cucumber & jalapeño, which was ok. Could have been spicier. Next up we had their tater tot appetizer. Umm, ok. They weren’t bad. But it’s hard to mess up tots. They we had our burritos. My wife got the BBQ burrito. That was the weirdest thing ever. It was definitely BBQ and it just didn’t work. Just a train wreck of a meal. I got the green monster. Now, as I write this, my stomach is churning like you can’t even imagine. I’ve been sick since last night. Green monster? Probably appropriate for a name. My last comment is the menu. It’s all over the place. Want a burger? Mac n cheese? Enchiladas? This place has them all… for some weird reason. So would I eat here again? Certainly. If I needed a colonoscopy the next day, their food could take the place of the cleansing drink. Avoid if you actually like Mexican food and want to continue liking it.

I tried their wahoo taco and a margarita. Both were great. I thought a couple of the negative reviews were overboard. Two complained the rellenos had no flavor. I love rellenos, but the flavor depends on the chili used. As with Goldilocks and the three bears, chills will be too hot for some, too bland for others and just right for a few. The margarita was really good and I am going to go back and try them again. I could care less if there are Hispanics, or not at any«Mexican» restaurant. I guess some folks don’t know that there are many Mexican cattle ranches and vaqueros– Mexican cowboys. I thought it was decorated nicely, it was clean, and the service fast and friendly. Tons of flavor in the taco! I had to take one home because I got too full! Ok second visit, thought o posted that. Carley took amazing care of us and recommended the chili vodka for the Bloody Mary! Tried the second hottest salsa and I am still enjoying the warm flavors! Still had to take home a taco. Been here a few more times. Awesome to never be ignored! Had the carnitas tacos this time. So good, but I couldn’t finish all three! I got two tubs of their salsas to go. The last three are so good, and I love to mix my own heat with each bite. Please come visit this place. I really want it to stay! No lie!

So glad to see something opening in this awesome location! Lucha has only been open a week or so, so they have some bugs to work out, but they have GREAT food and amazing service, so I know they’ll do well. We had the salsa sampler and WOW!!! Great! Each one tasted very good and unique! I did not try the GHOST one, but my sister did and loved it. The cilantro dill was very tasty as were the others. We split one of their chimichungas and it was the perfect amount of food. This place has the BEST patio in Littleton!
