One of the best sausage gravy based biscuit meals. Fresh morning cocktails. Open table seating is fun way to venture outside of comfort and into new experiences.

I was really underwhelmed by this Lucile’s. I know Lucile’s in terms of the small, quaint and cozy home-turned-café up in Boulder. This Lucile’s is the size of a Costco — and about as loud and cold as one, too. We came on a Sunday, late morning, for brunch and didn’t mind waiting for a table. I like how they offer cappuccino, coffee, a bloody Mary or a Mimosa while you wait. But I have to say, 5 dollars for a cup of coffee? The memory I had from Boulder Lucile’s was a friendly server bringing piping hot and fluffy biscuits to the table as soon as you sat down. Not so here, although I kept looking at those biscuits arriving at the tables around us and started to feel neglected and — well — hungry! The food I ordered(benedict) came with way-overcooked eggs that had a very strange consistency, like they had been sitting in a steam tray, maybe? Barely any hollandaise and dry-as-a-bone English muffin. I sent it back and asked, instead, for a couple of fried eggs and more grits. I got 2 fried eggs. When I asked for a biscuit, I got a lecture on how it didn’t come with my original order. Okay, okay, Lucile is one cranky girl on busy Sunday mornings!!!

If I had to recommend Lucile’s, I have to tell you to go to the one in Boulder. This location was a disappointment. For starters the service was slow and my eggs were only slightly warmer than cold. If I hadn’t been so hungry after waiting 45 minutes to get in, I would have sent them back. My partner on the other hand, did send hers back and she asked for a biscuit when her new order came out. The female server responded in the tone of the soup Nazi… ‘You don’t get a biscuit with your order’. Seriously, she wants a biscuit… you messed up her order, brought her eggs that were cold and not cooked as requested plus she’s waited for what seemed like forever for something to eat, bring her a biscuit! Ok, message received… next time I’m in the area looking for some brunch, I’ll spend my $$ elsewhere.

Not worth the money. At all. The food was not that great. I was surprised with so many positive reviews on here for the food. Maybe it was an off day for them, their collard greens were not fresh and really bland, a friend that joined me ordered the Rockefeller and the spinach was bitter, the oysters tasted like they’d been sitting out, and the gritz could have been store bought. I had one of their most popular dishes which the waitress said was the Jennifer which was eggs benedit, and I felt I could have made better at home. The only thing creole about it was the gritz. This would have been fine but the price of the dish was 11 $. Which was ridiculous for a mediocre plate of eggs Benedict I could have got at the local IHOP for 6 $. Their bloody Mary’s were also supposed to be award winning according to 5280 magazine and it tasted like shrimp cocktail juice. Service was good however and the atmosphere was fun. But: Definitley not worth the price!

We aren’t fans of creole cuisine but it was the only food available when we were at the craft brewery next door(which we love btw!). My boyfriend chose the Muffalatta Po’Boy, which he said was okay. I got soup and salad. Although they forgot my cornbread, the soup of the day(creamy tomato) was very good. The tossed salad is what it says, so if you’re expecting more than just greens and a little flavor you should order something else.

Waited a long time for some Crawfish Étouffée. It appears I should have waited longer. It arrived at my table with a thick skin covering the cold sauce. Rice was hard, then I had to wipe my mouth with Grandma’s Snot-Rag that they wrap the silverware in. On a positive note: The biscuits were good, And the cocktails at the waiting area were appreciated.

Amazing food, good service, especially the waiting area which is awesome, and by far the best bloody Mary’s I had in a long while. For a fun environment and awesomeness come here :)

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The food is AMAZING, the staff is AWESOME, and I am addicted to their bloody Mary’s. I come here about once a week, it’s my favorite breakfast place by far. Your guys rock!

Lucile’s has for a long time been one of my favorite brunch spots. The food is perfect creole food with some Cajun options, the Servers are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. Recently we had a large party event and they were even better. They accommodated our group happily, even calling me ahead to check in the day before. They exceeded my hopes in every way!

I don’t understand the appeal. It tastes like salty, canned cafeteria food. Yuck. The wait people are nice but overly attentive in a fake southern sort of way which borders on the obnoxious. You can tell it’s how they have been trained so it’s not their fault. There’s not a snowballs chance I’d ever go back.

I came here from out of town cause it was rated so highly. I ordered the beignets and gumbo since I wasn’t feeling that hungry. I thought the place was a-okay. I’d give it more a 3.5 rating because of staff and not food. Food really in my opinion deserved just an «okay» rating. The beignets were not bad. It was what you expect, fried dough covered with powdered sugar. It wasn’t anything too thrilling or memorable, I thought they were pretty ordinary. They did get the job done for what I wanted though at the time and I’m happy with that. The gumbo was a little underwhelming. I wasn’t disappointed but it didn’t taste thrilling or really hit the spot. The beignets did a better job but also they’re covered in powdered sugar, so what’s not to like about that? For the price though, I probably would only come here if I was really craving beignets since I don’t think they’re available anywhere else nearby. It’s a bit pricy. The customer service at this spot though was excellent. Perhaps because they weren’t busy on a weekday during lunch time and so therefore were very attentive and helpful for someone out of town visiting.

This place was suggested by several people, so when it came time to pick a brunch spot, Lucille’s we went! It was like going to eat at your pretend cajun grandmother’s house. I think? We parked at the bar top, tried their bloody mary’s and ordered the eggs benedict and eggs new orleans. The fried eggplant under the perfectly poached eggs, drowning in the mix of creole sauce and hollandaise… mmmmm. Massive flavor, grits, the potatoes were authentic with heavy seasoning. It is pretty heavy, and not something I would typically order or eat very often. Service was attentive and friendly. I loved how all of the cloth napkins were different colors and patterns. Everyone’s food around us looked good too. It wasn’t my usual go to style of breakfast food, but I am glad we stopped in.

My mother and I enjoyed our first of I’m sure many breakfasts here. Autumn, our server was excellent. The food was delicious and the drinks fantastic. It’s a trip to New Orleans without having to make the trip.

The food was decent and the place was certainly busy. However, the staff was extremely rude! As our large group was exiting, we met around the bar to discuss ride situations and the cocktail server with blue hair came over and snapped at us for being in her way. Then she continues to stare at us and made us feel uncomfortable for even being in the bar area. I understand you’re busy and we were in the way because the walkway around the bar was very narrow and crowded but that was completely uncalled for. It’s possible to ask us to move in a less bitchy manner. It’s a shame that this encounter is what all of us remembers about our visit and we unanimously agreed that we are never to visit Lucile’s again.

I’ve visited all of the other Lucile’s location and can say that this location was right up there with the others! The food was yummy(as usual) and this location didn’t have a wait! The inside is very spacious and not-crammed like the Boulder location! I’ve tried a few different things here, but I would say if you’re going to order anything, do try the beignets, biscuit(w/their homemade jam/marmalade), and breakfast potatoes(w/their homemade ketchup and hot sauce) — a must! Lucile’s is one of my favorite breakfast spots — right up there with Snooze and Olive & Finch!

Lucile’s was one of the first places I at at when I moved to Boulder and back when I lived there it was one of my regular breakfast places to meet up with friends. I have been to the Logan location, but the wait at that one always keeps me from going often. So when my friend suggested this location I groaned thinking about the wait, she then told me the wait is never that bad at this one. And she was right, at 10:30am on a Saturday, we only waited 15 minutes for our table. Just like the other locations the food is super tasty. I got my favorite: Eggs Benedict with cheesy grits instead of hash browns and a Bloody Mary to go with: DELISH! We also split an order of Beignets for«dessert». Super tasty.. Another perk is that this location is right on the Platte so come early and get a workout in or walk it off like we did after our meal.

I have seen the promised land and the biscuits were heavenly! Bennies, omelettes, pancakes, beignets… kind of a food orgy. Yes, I went there. You’ll eat a lot here so do what we did. Park here, go on 30 mile bike ride to Deer Canyon and back, attach food bag. The homemade everything is just too much for me to write about. I am so happy I finally ate here because now I know what all the fuss and lines are about. It is so worth it!

This place is great! The food is great. The location right next to the platt river is gorgeous. The only problem is the wait time on weekend mornings are usually insanely long. The homemade jam is tasty and it goes perfect on everything. If there is a long like just grab a mimosa at the bar and wait one the patio.

The food is great, but the wait is insane. Nearly waited two hours to be seated and to make it worse, another party took my table. Had to complain to the hostess to finally get seated. At least there was a bar where you could order Bloody Mary’s while you waited. And definitely order the beignets.

There have been very few places that I can call a «favorite» here in the littleton area but I count Lucille’s on my list. Their rice pudding is super delicious but if you feel like something less dessert like, their eggs Benedict or Sardou is also really good. One can never go wrong with their biscuits either. I love their mimosas made with super delicious home made orange juice, and my husband enjoyed their bottled Abita Amber. For something non alcoholic, try their house chai latte(whole milk or soy available). Finish it off with a beignet and you will be stuffed. It’s okay to take home left overs in order to save room for beignets. :)
