Real Barbers

Had to try an actual barbershop and was not disappointed. This barbershop popped as the first one on my list for my area so I tried it. I had been going to a hair salon which was my biggest mistake. I should’ve been going to this barbershop, and already recommended it to my best friend who gets his hair cut from the hair salon that I used to go to. Mark and Paul are dedicated and experienced barbers who are easy to talk to and Mark gave me the best fade high and tight I’ve had since the day before graduating basic training –Tony

My barber left Colorado recently and I was saddened. She knew my hair inside and out better than I ever did. I only had one regular barber in my life. Nervously I began a search. I went to a recommended barbershop and set an appt a week prior to today. The barber I was scheduled with was late, after 25 mins waiting the front desk told me he said he didn’t have a client this morning. I left. I was wondering where would I find a barber and not a gimmick. I don’t drink beer, don’t really care for razor designs or hair dye. After 2 stops before giving up for the day, I found Real Barbers on Unilocal.I made the trip to the small shop. I was immediately seated! Nobody asked me if I had an appointment, which I liked. There was no music playing, just a tv and the sound of the clippers. I felt at ease and told him the basics of how I wanted my hair and he did the rest. He did an amazing job and was focused the whole time. I’m VERY pleased with my haircut and would recommend them to anyone I know! I’ve found a great shop close to my house! Today was a good day!

Clean, skilled, inexpensive. Awesome barbers without all the «extras» they won’t hand you a beer and then give you a crappy haircut for $ 35. Just great cuts, at a great price. Doesn’t hurt that they are easy to talk to either.

These guys are great! Like the name says, they’re real barbers. I got a great haircut at a reasonable price with a short wait. I’ve found my new barber in Denver!

Glad I found this place. Mark & Paul are not only «real» barbers they are also very skill at their profession. There is seldom a wait, but it’s worth it’s to stick around if there is. The place is also very clean, not always the case at some shops.
Note, they are closed on Monday, Thursday, & Sunday.
Ps.. The restaurant next door has killer wings!

So glad my hubby found this barber shop so he doesn’t ask me to cut his hair anymore. LOL. Seriously… they do a wonderful job… best haircut in Colorado! And do reasonable.

I have literally been looking for the right person and place to get my hair cut on a regular basis for years. I’ve been to a plethora of high dollar salons and cheap chains. I decided I needed to find a barber shop. I was a little concerned as I didn’t want just a buzz cut. Naturally I went to Unilocal to read some reviews. Legends had 25 solid reviews but was a 20 minute drive. I saw Real Barbers a couple of months ago. It was much closer to my house but only had one review and I couldn’t find a website or anything.
I decided to drive over this morning and take my chances. Turns out there is a hair salon right next door. I wasn’t paying attention and walked in to the wrong place. It wasn’t quite what I had envisioned. There was a row of chairs and one lady giving a guy a haircut. Out of the corner of my eye while waiting I saw a guy sweeping in front of a place next door. It occurred to me that I wasn’t in the barber shop…
I walked out, approached Mark and said «no wonder that place didn’t seem like a barber shop». He shook my hand, laughed and invited me in. Cool, old school place, a couple chairs and a couple of barbers. The perfect haircut is just part of it. The right atmosphere and personality is a big deal. This place has it all. I was talking with Mark about almost not coming in since I could only find one review and nothing else online. He said he had been meaning to put something more in-​depth on Unilocal but had been busy. Truth is, he is probably just one of those guys that doesn’t do much online. He’s not in front of a screen, he’s in front of people.
He was more than pleasant to talk with, cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it and took his time. I would have gladly paid twice the price he charged me. Their prices are more than reasonable and that leaves plenty of room to give a well deserved tip. I told him I was going to write a review on Unilocal.I recommended we snap a photo in front my 50 Chevy truck and his barber pole.
If you don’t live close to Platte Canyon and Bowles, make the drive. Totally worth it and Chubby’s is a block away. Get a cut and pick up a breakfast burrito after. Go see them and take the time to write review to help these guys out, they deserve it. This is my go to place for eternity. Locally owned shop. Well done Mark, Paul and Steve. Check out their sign, it has a different saying each day. Mark and Steve are excellent. This is a real barber shop for those guys that like to go to an old school place instead of a salon. Reasonable price and reasonable people.
